《The war of the Gods》Apollo and Artemis( part 2)

The captivation that overtook Apollo was not missed by Art and her eyes followed his gaze. Her eyebrows rose ever so slightly when her silver eyes landed on the dancer. He was far better than any of the other men dancing on the floor. It was like he was born to do this and there was something about him too. Something she felt an afinity for. Something she felt drawn to. Like all good things, his dance came to an end with the music. Her eyes shifted back to Apollo who had his own trained on the boy like a predator. She knew that look. It was the same look he'd given to Daphne and Hycinthus and Kyrene and... well basically Apollo kinda wore his heart on his sleeve but his possessive nature and strong will had ended in disaster every single time.
The boy had mousy brown hair that fell in waves across his ears, into his eyes and came to a stop just at the collar of the peasant shirt he was wearing. It almost looked unkept. His blue eyes were the color of the sky but changed with the light. Not mood as some specilated. His lips were thin but with the cupid's bow accentuated they looked perfectly kissable. The boy had a lot of female features which made him a good dance. Tall, lanky and elegant. The way he pushed his hair out the way made him seem carefree. It seemed a habit or an annoyance since he'd done it a couple of times during the last few moments. If you could sum up the boy in one word, it would be spirited.
Artemis was not sure this time would be any different but she knew better than to stand in the way of her brother and his attractions. Her eyes dropped to the floor. She also knew better than to allow him to discover her own attractions. She had loved Orion dearly but the moment Apollo had discovered that they were alone together, he had some to her rescue just in time to murder her companion. Not that she needed protection. She was known as the black widow on Mount Olympus. Apollo's movement was fluid. The brush of his arm against hers rouse her to lift her eyes. The boy was at the bar now, ordering a drink and pulling out his wallet. Just one man stood between Apollo and his new love intrest.

A look of determination crossed Artermis's face and she moved from her brother's side to slide in beside the boy. Her hand moved over his as he meant to pay for his drink, a strangely colorful one with a fruity scent to it. She had worked behind a bar before. You could always tell a person by their drinks. The boy's blue eyes dropped to her hand over his then lifted to meet her eyes. He pushed some sweaty hair off his face and gave her a playful smirk.
"My brother asked if he might get that for you. Your performance deserves reward. You are a spectacular dancer, Sir." She smiled back at him. He was about a foot taller than her. Just a few inches shorter than Apollo. His hands were soft, meaning he didn't do hard labour for a living. There was life in his eyes and his youthful face had no weariness that most of the youth had. He was enjoying his existence, unlike some of the other humans he shared the city with.
"Alright, sure. Thank you. That's very kind of your... er... brother. " It was at that point that the boy started searching for this brother she mentioned.
"Oh." It dawned on Art what he must have been thinking. She removed her hand so her could return his money to his wallet and half turned to motion Apollo closer. He rolled his eyes and hung his head in his hand shaking it. Irritatedly, Artemis moved swiftly to grab his arm, drawing his hand away from his face and lead him to the boy.
"Why would you think this was a go-" Apollo began.
"This is Apollo and I'm Artemis. I'll get us two more drinks." Art turned to motion to the waiter then turned to dig into Apollo's back pocket pulling out his wallet to pay.

A Portal Fantasy Comedy Poem
Mix an adolescent shepherd boy in love with a girl who wants to meet existentialists, a Viscount in need of an adventure, and a bland psychic. Add in a flippant god. Put them in a land made up of the after-lives of various different cultures. Stir gently. Sprinkle in some random Midgard Serpent, Genghis Khan, Scheherazade, and a cussing mocking bird. Fry lightly. Season to taste and serve with desired garnishes. Bon apetit! A comic fantasy poetic epic, filled with misfits, slapstick routines, light romance, people shouting out the names of their battle skills before using them, old philosopher dudes running around naked, a very serious lamb, demonic knitting, battery operated magic swords and even more traumatising stuff! I experimented with different styles in the beginning and finally settled on an ABABBCBC rhyme scheme (Give me your 0.5s. Gimme, gimme, gimme. I'm collecting them, seriously)

Captain Critiques: A Grumpy Pirate Review Book
(CURRENTLY OPEN)When it comes to reviews, I'm probably as harsh as the hellhole most story ideas crawl out of. I'm blunt, sarcasic, to the point and I know what I like in a story. As you can probably guess, you don't wanna take my advice if your like an overprotective mother about your story. Who am I kidding, EVERYONE is like that about their stories. But, if you could find the courage to pry the story out of your cold, crabby hands so I can give my brutally honest opinion then be my guest. Just don't try and start a fight once I provide it. You DON'T wanna fight a pirate. .................................. I reserve the right to decline stories as this will be taking up quite a bit of my time and if I say no, I mean NO. If your blurb is unreadable I will decline it. If it includes the genres mentioned in my 'Hell No' section then I will send it back where it came from.Do NOT critique the Captain.
