As Reece and the twins spoke, Apollo became more and more infatuated with the boy. Reece told them of his love for horses which enticed the twins into a frenzied discussion about horsemanship and Reece told them about his grandparents stables he was due to inherit. He didn't seem too eager to take on the family business though then the topic of conversation turned to dancing, Reece's true passion. He was a ballet dancer first and foremost. That's when Artemis suggested that Reece teach Apollo to dance. Apollo disregarded this idea in favour of watching Reece and Artemis take the dance floor. Take it they did. Reece was the perfect lead and again everyone watched them with envy. Finally Reece announced that he had a class at 10 am in the morning and it was getting late.

"Let me drive you. Forget calling for an Unner or whatever they are." Apollo suggested.

Reece smiled that smile at him. "Uber and I could never ask you to do that but I would love to keep in touch." He pulled out his phone for the number exchange.

"Don't be silly. You're not asking. We're offering and we promise we won't kill you." Artemis took his phone and entered Apollo's number into it. She was far more proficient at these new technologies than Apollo was.

"Well now I feel completely at ease about the ride home." Reece answered sarcastically. Artemis laughed and gave him back his phone then took his hand to lead him out with Apollo following. Outside the club a feeling of breaking free from deep, dark water broke over Apollo. The club was tiny, crowded and hot. It felt more like a prison than an escape. The twins didn't often venture from their beautiful estate. They went to work then went home unless one of them had to venture to other venues outside their estate. Tonight was an exception and Apollo was glad Artemis had dragged him out.

As the three made their way to Apollo's car just a whiles down the street talking animatedly about future ideas for get-togethers, a commotion across the street in a dark alley caught their attention. A group was crowding around a pair. One of the group slammed a young blue eyed youth into the wall. His friend stepped forward and was punched to the floor. The blue eyed black haired boy fell to his friend's side and that's when the group began beating on the two on the ground.

Reece gasped and made a run for the alleyway into traffic. "Reece!" Apollo's heart jumped in panic and the twins followed but this time the cars stopped suddenly in their approach on either side of the road to clear the way for them. By the time they reached the other side if the road Reece had been grabbed and held so the leader of the group could lay punches into his pretty face. Before Reece was struck Apollo's hand clamped on the leader's fist. The male's face twisted in pain as his fist was crushed by the god. Artemis grabbed the hair of the two men holding Reece's arms and she yanked them backward so they hit the ground hard. Reece blinked in confusion then rushed over to the boys that he had risked his life for. The last three men rushed at the twins as their leader began to scream. Bones cracked and it was clear that Apollo was making the hand that was meant to bruise up Reece's face unusable. Apollo kicked the leader at his feet knocking him unconcious like the two at Artemis's feet and grabbed one of the advancing men then threw him in the wall like he was feather pillow. The other two stopped and stared then twisted and ran for their lives.

Reece stared at Apollo and Artemis in utter horror. Apollo rushed toward him and reached out to cup his face but Reece scrambled back and covered his friends staring up at Apollo looming just inches away.

"Whatever you are, leave me alone."

"Reece..." Apollo's voice was gentle.

"Leave me ALONE!" Reece screamed. Apollo pulled back suddenly. The scream made the black haired boy moan and lift his eyes. They were red now. Not blue and there were fangs peeking through bloodied lips.

"Jason..." Reece whispered and craddled the boy close then leaned in and kissed his lips. Apollo's eyes narrowed as he came to his feet. If it was not for Artemis's touch, Apollo would have ripped that vampire to pieces. He wanted to....
