《The First Rabbit Dungeon》Chapter 11 - Observing Magic

Looking at Steve's mana, I am quite shocked at what the difference is between the third rabbit's mana and Steve's mana. There is almost nothing the same in terms of how things are moving around. It is a weird thing to me to see two rabbits of the same race to have two different ways of how their insides work.
So the basic outline of the paths that the mana takes is the same and how the mana is getting drained as it passes by stuff the body can run properly. Think of it like the blood bringing oxygen to the different parts of the body.
Once you are past that though, that is when the real differences start to show up. First off is the difference in the amount of mana that Steve has. Since I now have two different mana cores to compare, I started to notice that they are acting like my dungeon crystal.
Both of the mana cores have mana lights. Though there is a difference in what colour the mana light is, and what the mana light looks like not in terms of the colour.
The third rabbit's mana light looks like the cyan part of a mana cloud. While Steve's mana light looks like the blue part of a mana cloud. It isn't a exact match of colour, but you can't say that they aren't close.
Now onto what the other differences are in the mana lights.
Not really sure how to put this into words, but the density of the mana light is a big difference. Well at least compared to my mana light. It almost seems like their mana lights are like air, while my mana light is like water.
Wait, scratch that last statement. Blood is thicker than water, so I will go with that instead. My mana light is like blood compared to their air like mana light.
I am just guessing this though based on the colour difference between the mana cloud from so long ago and the colour of their mana lights. Still weird that my mana light is white and not one colour like these guy's mana lights.
Thinking a bit I start to realize something. How does light have density? It shouldn't have density right? I should have paid attention more in science class.
Maybe I should just be calling it mana since their mana light isn't just getting drained like in my dungeon crystal. Their mana lights are actually having their mana transported to other parts of their body.
And the slow process that the mana is taking is not at the speed of light, it is more like water in a pipe.
So if what I am taking from my random thoughts is what I think I am thinking, I should only call the mana in my dungeon crystal mana light. And in my rabbits, their mana cores just hold mana. Just in a non-light form.
Back to the other differences/similarities that I can spot then!
Steve's mana, unlike the third rabbit's mana, is of the same density. Which must mean that neither Steve nor the third rabbit have reached their limit and has condensed their mana yet like I did once.
Maybe the same principle applies for these guys. If not I am even more lost then I think I am. Let's just hope that I am right on this one.

So with knowing that the density of their mana is the same, the biggest factor in showing off their strength would be to see how much mana they have. Too bad I don't have some kind of stats screen that lets me know how much mana each rabbit has, so I have to base it on the mana core.
Something like that would probably be too good to be true, so I am not expecting it to happen any time soon.
The third rabbit's mana compared to the size of his mana core is about ten percent of it. While Steve's mana has reached the limits of his mana core.
Realizing that Steve is so close to breaking through the limit and most likely going to go through the same process as I did when I increased my crystal rank. I start to feel even closer to him than ever before.
Before we didn't have anything in common, but now we do, or at least I think we do.
Either way I am feeling happier right now. Almost enough to get me out of my current bad mood. 'Almost' not all the way yet. Something else good has to happen to me again and I think I will finally be out of this bad mood.
So now to look at what the mana is doing to Steve's body differently compared to the third rabbit's body. First off is the speed at which the mana is moving around the body, or in better words how fast the mana is moving to the parts that need strengthening.
The reason why I say this is the speed at which the mana is moving around the body is the same all around. That is until you look at the legs/arms of Steve. There is a lot of mana getting sent there right now and at a pretty fast speed if you ask me.
If a small amount of mana can keep a rabbit alive, a lot of mana can make his body go into one hundred and ten percent mode. Well at least his legs/arms will be going one hundred and ten percent since that is the area that is getting the most mana.
The rest of his body is getting no attention at all right now. How sad.
Then it finally starts to click in. Steve is using magic right now!
Sure it is not the kind of magic that you see a typical mage or magic enabled monster use, but he is using mana to do something that shouldn't be possible with regular Earth logic.
Oh wait, I am on Terra, not Earth. Stop using logic from Earth already, you can't use it here. I got to stop forgetting something so important like that.
So maybe video game logic will start to work here now that magic is involved. If this is a RPG (role-playing-game) then what Steve is doing right now is a strength boost. Or a buff spell if you want to nitpick.
Which is a spell that increases how well someone does something. Like moving or attacking, etc.
If I noticed that he was sending most of his mana towards his skin, then I would have called it a defense boost. Too bad he isn't doing it though since Jack just made Steve bleed a little with a grazing of his claws.

Since Steve had his legs buffed with mana, he was able to jump out of the way and miss most of the Jack's sharp claws. In the end it was only a graze.
Well let's sit back and enjoy the rest of the show shall we?
A couple minutes ago...
POV Change - Other Wade
It looks like Wade is figuring out how mana works in our rabbits, so I guess I should watch the fight between Steve and Jack. They are always fun to watch in this boring dungeon.
At this point I can't even remember the amount of times that they have fought so far, but at least a couple each day. Or at least what feels like a day.
There really is a huge demand for a clock here, and at the very least to be able to see what time of day it is.
Right now Steve is walking up to Jack slowly as to not wake him up. Jack right now is on the dirt hill in the middle of the room, sleeping away while having his horned head hang over the side of the hill.
Over the past few days the horn has grown about a inch longer, making it so the horn is now two inches long. I wonder how long the horn will grow before it stops, we will find out eventually so I won't worry too much about it.
Once Steve was close to Jack's head, he suddenly stops and crouches down even more then what he usually is. As he starts to pump mana towards his legs to increase their strength, he finally jumps at Jack.
And what a wonderful jump that was! Instead of ramming his entire body at Jack's head and getting impaled by the horn, he aimed the jump so he would miss the horn with his body. While still being able to wake Jack up with a nice slap to the face.
Being woken up like that probably isn't the best, so Jack is now really mad. Steve, why can't you just leave Jack alone? Are you really that angry at Jack for taking the alpha position that you have to do this all the time?
Jack jumps down and tries to do the usual stance of power making himself look as big as possible to make Steve back off. And like usual it doesn't seem to work on Steve.
He must still remember how he won the first fight.
And then Steve charges towards Jack to try and get one more hit in before it goes downhill even more for Steve. This is the time that Jack usually starts to attack back, meaning Steve will lose quickly once it does happen.
Oh. It looks like Wade just realized that Steve can use magic to make himself stronger.
I learned a while ago that Steve is using magic internally to give himself a edge in battle. Wade here doesn't seem to want to take in that information until now.
There is so much information that he can get from the dungeon sense, but he just blocks most of it out until he finds it useful for himself. What a sad, sad man.
So with most of the information from the dungeon sense having nowhere else to go, I get most of it. Making it so I can speed up the process of making dirt removals better than him. Not sure why this is, but it must be because I know more about the dirt or something like that.
He is quite jealous of that, which is properly at least part of the reason why he is so anger right now.
With him not wanting me to talk to him, I can't tell him how to improve his dungeon abilities so I won't for now. He will get this bad mood soon enough and start to talk to me again.
Back to Steve charging at Jack I guess.
Steve started to run at Jack with his legs and arms pumped with as much mana as he can put into them. Making it he is a lot faster than normal right now.
Well if Steve can use magic, then so can Jack. Which is also part of the reason why Steve hasn't been able to beat Jack in a single one of their fights. They keep improving how much mana they can send to certain parts of their bodies at the same rate, so their gap in power hasn't been reduced or increased at all.
Just before Steve reached Jack and got a hit in, Jack lowered his head and got into a stance that allowed him to stand his ground should anything ram into him. Steve say this and stopped his charge mid way, making him almost lose balance as the monument of his running kept him going forward.
With Jack lowering his head, his sharp horn was in the perfect spot for Steve to ram into it if he didn't steer a little to the left. Then seeing as how the plan failed, Jack stepped forward towards the still moving forward Steve.
As Jack stepped forward, he swung out with his claws on a clear path to Steve. Too bad that Steve was able to see the claw coming and jumped into the air, making it so Jack's claws only grazed him.
Lucky for Jack, the claws still drew blood, but it can't be called a injury of any kind. Which can be called unlucky for only doing that much damage I guess.
Both of them are now in a standoff and no one is making a move. They are just staring at each other with their beady little eyes.
After a while Jack finally makes his move. Not in the way that either of us thought though.
What me and Wade thought would happen is he would do another full power swing of his claws and send Steve across the room like how it usually goes. No, that is nothing like what is happening right now.
Right now what I am seeing is Steve staring at Jack, and Jack staring back at him. Jack though isn't alone like how Steve is.
Jack has a small ball fire above his head keeping him company!
