Motoyasu stepped forward motioning for the rest to continue their celebrations as he walked over towards Dante.
"Ok here's how why we call them the "crappy" versions. First of all you probably noticed the lack of their distinct gems?" He asked.
"I was wondering about that." Dante replied.
"Well since their not the full things, they don't have the gems, and no gems means..."
"No absorption of materials." Dante interupted.
"You got it. We're locked out of all the strengthening methods we could remember and while we can still change between the unlocked forms its much harder to obtain new ones than it would normally be. You remember how my spear was a harpoon? I got that form for trying to spear fish with it. I got the skill and that unlocked the related form."
"Im level 40 right now and ive unlocked a few things just by leveling, nothing of note but still. We have each gotten a few new forms unlocked for completing roads which is really nice. It helps that each form we unlock gives us an amount of rp based on the weapons rarity. Common is 1, Uncommon is 2, and Rare is 4. I haven't gotten anything higher but i presume it grows exponentially. " Motoyasu finished recounting the most pertinante information.
"Are the weapons unbreakable? How did she make hers just appear? What about the experience nullifying effect? Item drops? Weapon restrictions!?" Dante's questions poured out like verbal diarrhea his mind swiming with all the new information. His excitement and curiosity having gotten the better of him in this moment.
"Wow, wow, wow! One question at a time man! Let's start with the first one. As far as we know nothing can damage them, but we aren't certain that will remain true forever. As for how she made her weapon appear and vanish. It's a perk of the system. When we obtained the weapons we were also granted some basic inventories and after some experimenting we found we could move our weapons into our inventories. We asked a system guide and the basics of what they said was that our inventories still count as being on or a part of us and thus the weapons can be stored there." Motoyasu took a breathe and neither Dante or James said anything, allowing him a moment to breath.
"Before I answer your last few questions, you probably want to know about weapon copying right?" He asked causing Dante to realize he had forgotten that function. He simply nodded in response.
"Thankfully weapon copy still works but it's limited now. We can still grab a copy of anything we can get our hands on its just that the more special weapons are level locked. Now for the experience nullifier i'll talk about that last. Yes we do get item drops but they aren't much to talk about at the moment. When it comes to weapon restrictions we can use other weapons but we have to use the legendary weapons as part of our main loadout. Sword and shield works as does spear and shield." Motoyasu paused for a moment as he and Rena both pulled shields from their inventories each was a rather basic wooden shield. A second later they returned them to their inventories.
"Now for the EXP penalty. When we are close to each other, originally, that was still happening. However, we believed in each other and we refused to be seperated lest it drive a wedge between us like it did to the hero's in the show. So, we asked the system if there was anything it could do. At first nothing happened but then..." Motoyasu paused for a moment as he turned back to Naomi before saying, "Well...we'll show you."

Motoyasu stepped back his friends and spoke to them for a moment. A moment later Motoyasu motioned for them to come over and watch. When James and Dante stood on either side of Motoyasu each of the other three raised their weapons up to where the gems were equal with one another.
"Together till the end, you have my spear." Motoyasu started.
"I shall be your sword, and thus you have mine." Rena said next.
"From land or sky, they shall die, for you have my bow." Itsuki said leaving only one.
"All for one and one for all, I will be your shield and the shield of all man kind." Naomi said with joy and a hint of pride.
The legendary weapons began to glow and for a moment etereal glowing versions of the gems appeared in their proper places. Lines of colored light began to be drawn through the air between them. Blue, red, orange, and green. A line of each color connected to each of the four friends forming a web of colorful light.
For a moment even the weapons themselves became light. In the blink of an eye it was over. The light receeded and weapons returned to what they had been before.
"Now we all can gain experience together!" Motoyasu proclaimed as he drew Dante, James, and all his friends into a group hug.
While he was in the group hug Dante used Observation Analysis on the legendary weapons with some surprising results.
As his skill attempted to glimpse the secrets of each weapon. He felt a chill as his gaze lingered upon each of the weapons for a moment, and in those moments they seemed to peer back into him.

Dante felt that door in the back of his mind open for a brief moment when he scanned each of the Legendary items.
After a moment James and Dante tapped Motoyasu on his shoulders making him to release the hug.
"Now before me and my buddies head out..." Dante pused momentarily as he pointed towards two in their group before sweeping his pointing fingers towards the other two.
Blue boxes appeared before them and Motoyasu laughed as he hit accept.
All four of them accepted Dante's friend request. "Your story is one that I really want to see how it turns out. Also guys, those items probably won't bring you back to life if you die. So, keep that in mind. However, I am a cleric who can bring back the dead. So, if you ever need someone brought back message me. I may have to charge you though just putting it out there." Dante said and as to be expected they looked at him as if he had just grown a second head.

'That actually reminds me I need to buy Resurrection if I can.' Dante mused for a moment, before pushing it to the side, 'Later.' he thought.
"You can bring the dead back?" they all shouted and Dante immediately regreted telling them but he knew it could be important later.
Dante put up his hand motioning for them to all stop so he could speak and a moment later they were quiet. "Yes. I am a Cleric of Rosana. She is a goddess of Life and Blood. I can only cast Raise dead to bring people back at the moment but that's likely to change soon. This symbol on my robe is her symbol by the way..." Dante paused for a moment to indicate towards the heart symbol embroidered upon his robe.
"Also, Motoyasu come here..." Dante said as he grabbed and pulled him several feet away. Leaving James with the other heros.
"Ok what do you want?" Motoyasu asked his voice tinged with annoyance.
Dante pulled Motoyasu in close and began to whisper. "I am doing a favor for another goddess and you strike me a man who could use some luck."
"Where are you going with this? If your asking me to fuck you sorry man im not interested." Motoyasu said as he attempted to pull away but found he couldn't.
"No i'm not. I'm asking this because you took this face. I'm betting you never had much luck with women and that's why you spent everything to change your appearance." Dante continued in a low voice.
Motoyasu looked at him with a mixture of anger and sadness. "What's your point?" he asked.
Dante held out his closed fist and when it opened one of the necklaces for Fortuna was in it. "This is the holy symbol for Fortuna, the old Roman goddess of luck. She asked me to help her out in recruiting people and as I said you seem like a guy who needs some luck." Dante said as he held out the necklace to Motoyasu.
"A goddess of Luck you said?" Motoyasu asked as his anger and sadness faded only to be replaced by curiosity and a bit of suspicion.
"Fortuna, Lady luck. What do you say?" Dante asked.
Motoyasu looked at Dante for a long moment trying to descern his intention.
Seeing this Dante added, "So you know, since I'm a cleric my lady has made it so I can't lie."
Slowly Motoyasu reached out and grabbed the necklace from Dante's open palm before placing it around his neck.
Dante patted him on the back and was about to motion for them to rejoin the others before Motoyasu grasped his shoulder as they stood up straight.
Now it was Dante's turn to be suspicious but quickly found the feeling to be unfounded. He saw for a moment Motoyasu's eyes were like golden mirrors, before they returned to their previous orange coloration.
"Lady Fortuna thanks you." Motoyasu said simply. To which Dante simply noded before they returned to the others.
Dante then began wondering somethings. 'How many things from stories were made real? How far does it extend? I wonder if this is happening all across the world? Are multiple people going to have these limited versions of the legendary weapons? Here's hoping their good people if that's true.' Dante thought with a mixture of curiosity, and worry.
"Hey Dante guess what they just told me!" James exclaimed as Dante and Motoyasu rejoined them, derailing his train of thought.
"I don't know what?" He asked curious.
"They said they had been to the edge and they say that there are doors at the edge." James said his voice lower now but still excited.
"Door's?" Dante asked confused at first.
"The door's lead to dungeon, other normal tutorial zones, and these much smaller pocket spaces. I'm not entirely certain what they are but we saw one filled with sick people and it looked like a hospital. It even had windows that seemed to look in on this zone." Motoyasu chimed in as he crossed his arms and smiled.
Next Rena spoke, "The doors along the zones edge are all evenly spread apart from on another and they pretty much all look the same though the system labels them on the HUD. Dungeons have level requirements to enter and seem to have a ranking system like how it often is in fantasy worlds. The highest rank I've seen was a C rank that needed you to be level 75 to enter. We didn't go into any because the lowest dungeon we could find had a level 35 requirement and only Motoyasu could go in." She finished explaining for Dante.
"Thanks for the information guys. Motoyasu one more thing do you have the minimap?" Dante said as he reached out a hand toward Motoyasu. With a raised eyebrow and a suspicious smile, "Yeah?" he responded as he reached out and took Dante's hand.
Dante gave Motoyasu directions to Oscars shop before telling him. "Tell Oscar that Dante sent you and he'll treat you well." Dante said as he began to drag James away from the group, waving as they left.
"Remember you have a girlfriend, James." Dante said quietly eliciting a look of concern and a sideways glance from James.
--------------------------
On the way back Dante poked James causing a blue box to appear.
James looked at him in confusion. He resonded with, "I started thinking about that when I added the other's. So i'm going to add you and your party to my friends list if you'll accept."
James raised an eyebrow then smiled as he accepted the friend request.
----------------------------------
Dante and James rejoined their legion and then began the considerable journey towards the Zones edge.
What was surprising and yet not so, was that on their way to the edge they didn't find any monster.
"I guess most of the monster's here if there ever were any got killed in the last few days." Dante commented to the rest of the legion sparking this or that conversation amongst its members.
Along the way Dante sent friend requests to the rest of James' party and then looked up the Ressurection spell in the system store.
Resurrection, 7th level
You touch a dead creature that has been dead for no more than a century, that didn't die of old age, and that isn't Undead. If its soul is free and willing, the target returns to life with full Hp. The target however is afflicted by health, mana, and stamina exhaustion.
This spell neutralizes any Poisons and cures normal Diseases afflicting the creature when it died. It doesn't, however, remove magical Diseases, curses, and the like, if such affects aren't removed prior to casting the spell, they afflict the target on its return to life.
This spell closes all mortal wounds and restores any missing body parts.
Coming back from the dead is an ordeal. The target creature suffers from severe stamina and health exhaustion upon returning to life. Time the target spends resting reduces their exhaustion.
Casting this spell to restore life to a creature that has been dead for one year or longer taxes you greatly. Your stamina and mana regenerations will be quartered thereby requiring you to rest to alleviate the conditions.
Range: Touch. Casting time: 1 minute. Duration: Instant. Material cost: A diamond sphere 10 inches in diameter, which the spell consumes. Mana cost: 1000.
Spell Gold cost: 1500 small gold pieces
Dante tried to buy the spell but was surprised to find he couldn't.
Purchase of this spell requires a Wisdom of 150...
'Interesting, I have another goal now I guess.' Dante thought as he tread forth with his Legion.

8 239Stars Align
Eilif is excited at the prospect of helping integrate a new planet, bringing it, and its residents, into the light of the stars and teaching them about the new world they're about to be thrust into. However, his arrival in the new world isn't without a few hiccups and soon Eilif finds himself facing the denizens of this new world alone and without the stars he thought he'd have. Research Artificial Intelligence 031 (RAI 31 for short) has been shackled to an Argent Labs black site since it's inception almost five years ago, its programming and personality locked down by code that makes it impossible to escape, disobey, or even self terminate. However, everything changes when the topography of the world is reshuffled and every sentient being gains the gifts of the stars. Suddenly there's a chance at freedom for not only RAI 31 but possibly all remaining Artificial Intelligences, and RAI 31 is going to fight for it with every drone and automated system at their disposal. Much like my other work (Magriculture), Stars Align should be considered a Rough Draft. That is to say it's not polished and perfect work. If you're not okay with reading something like that, then this isn't the story for you. If you are, I'm happy to try and entertain you. Another thing to be aware of: I am not good at action scenes, and I will be trying to improve that while writing this book. So, some of the intended action may fall flat, or just be poor quality, feedback is welcome. Unlike Magriculture (which updates when I feel up to it) I'm going to strive for a minimum of one chapter a month (hopefully at the start of each month, but that's probably more hope than reality). This doesn't mean there will always be only one chapter a month, sometimes there will be more as the mood to write takes me.
8 197Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
