《The Forgotten Angels》Chapter 7

After comparing our new status screens, I had to ask, "why are some of my stats hidden but not Amy's?"
"Because Tayna is fixing things, so if someone with a higher level analyzes you, then you can block. They can only read what she lets them," said Sally.
I looked worriedly at Amy. "what about her?"
Sally smiled. "That's easy. I will bond with Amy."
"That's surprising. I thought if you bonded to a mortal, your life gets attached to theirs?"
Sally nodded. "Yep, but since Amy is your champion, she won't die as long as you exist."
"If she falls in battle, you can bring her back with a bit of essence." Added Tayna.
I let out a sigh of relief. "Tayna, and I will go over my Status one more time."

"Wow, Nice stats, Amy," I exclaim.
Amy looks confused by the 20s on the list. "I thought everyone started at base 10 on all stats." She said, looking at Sally.
"Also, why are there more stat categories like Faith, wisdom, and luck," I added, having seen Amy's previous status screen.
Sally glanced up from her own interface after scrolling through several pages, "ah! Here it is. Champions are epic classes, while your own Elementalist class is rare. Epic grade classes start with a 10 point boost to their primary stat and another 10 points to a random stat. Champion is a higher grade of Knight, so Strength being the Primary stat makes sense."
"Where does Faith come in?"
Sally, who was still swiping at her screen, grunted in irritation and told me to be patient. Eventually, she sighed and notified us. "There is nothing my notes about the Faith stat."
Tayna shrugged. "If it's not in your notes, that means the company didn't cover it in the course."

"So," I mused aloud, "It is something your class wasn't told about. Or they don't expect the average dungeon to come across it."
Sally thought about that for a moment. "Makes sense. Most of those assigned to a dungeon could ask for the information if they needed it." "Anyhow, Rare classes like the Elementalist are the same thing as champion but only 5 points in primary and another 5 in a random stat."
"Okay, and the reason for the Wisdom and Luck stat?" (I won't ask about the dungeon bonus stats there fairly obvious.)
With a small laugh, Sally replied. "all I can find on this subject is. 'It's possible to unlock new stats if you meet certain criteria.'"
While Sally and I discussed all this, Amy had fallen asleep leaning against me. As I looked down at the newest member of our small family, a yawn escaped my lips, which surprised me, as I have never been sleepy once since I woke up.
Tayna and Sally both looked at us and quickly sent us off to Amy's bedroom.
I knew with this body I'm not coordinated enough to carry Amy. So I asked Rocky to carry the little princess to her chamber's. When I stood up, I stumbled. Rocky stuck out his elbow, and I held on as he led me to Amy's room.
As soon as he placed Amy down, and I had let go. Rocky rushed out of the room before I could thank him. Amused, I watched as he ran to his throne, placed his crown on his head, picked up his scepter, and sat on the massive chair.
When I woke up, I had a couple of notifications. The first was the 5 Mana for the day. Interestingly, the other was two cats and several rats, died in my dungeon last night, gaining me five essences. Noticing that, I thought for a moment, then summoned two skeleton soldiers to patrol the main tunnel using four of my mana.
I also had a squirming girl in my arms. I quickly let her go, apologizing. She just giggled, pecked me on the cheek, and said good morning. Confused, I asked. "what was that for?" She smiled with a hint of red on her cheek. "It felt nice sleeping next to you. Reminded me of sleeping with my Mother."
I grinned, pinched a soft cheek, and kissed her on the forehead. "Anytime, Amy." (I still feel like something is off) Mentally I asked Sally, "do you think when she passed out from analyzing me. Whatever is controlling my dungeon system got into hers somehow?"

Giggling, Amy Jumped out of bed and ran over to the full-length mirror. Dropping her frilly dress as she went. Amy stood there, admiring her now flawless skin from every angle. I also notice she was filling out no longer the thin stick figure she was when she first arrived the day before. She even had two little lumps beginning to form on her tiny chest, which she was holding up looking at, all excited.
Sally sent back to me, "Could be I have also noticed that she is taking all this way too easy for someone of her background. Not that we can do anything about it."
Shrugging, I rose, and a thought struck me. "Amy, how old are you?"
Amy glanced over her shoulder at me and shrugged. "Probably around fourteen or fifteen." Sighing, I absorbed the dropped garment and created a copy in the wardrobe. Walked over to her, rapped her lightly on the head, and told her to get dressed.
Tayna and Sally shook their heads. Tayna whispered to Sally. "I'm sure she was an older sister in her past. That was too natural."
Sally nodded sagely, suddenly froze. "wait, I have never acted like that with you." Tayna giggled. "maybe you should learn from Nalle." With a huff, Sally flew over to Amy and began going through the wardrobe with her.
"How come you two always get excited when helping us pick clothes when you always put on the same outfit?" I remarked. Sally scoffed. "Do you know how hard it is to find a tailer to make such tiny clothing?"
"Yeah, most fairies wear grass and leaves. 'sigh' so unsanitary," Tayna added. I was about to leave when Amy grabbed my hand and asked. "How come you're not changing."
While rubbing the top of Amy's head, I respond. "My attire is all made with magic; I don't have to change it."
She gaped at me for a few seconds. Then whined that it wasn't fair and that I should make her some magic clothes.
"Nope," I shook my head emphatically. "Now go be a beautiful dress-up doll for the fairy's." As I pushed her back toward the wardrobe.
I was about to head out of the bedroom. When I remembered, the only other furniture in the place is an obsidian throne. So I spun back around and took a seat at the end of the bed instead. Eliciting giggles from the three by the wardrobe.
Tayna, we require more stuff down here. Tayna glanced over at me. "okay, let me know what we need. Sally and I plan to do some scouting up top later." "Is that safe during the day?" I ask, a little worried. Sally shrugged. "no more dangerous for us than anyone else. Quite a few fairies are living in the area so that we will blend in, Tayna said."
I frowned but agreed, "just remember to be careful." They both grumbled something under their breaths, which put Amy in another fit of giggles. Ignoring the fairies mumbling, for now, I add. "We need more furniture, for starters. But Knight training gear for Amy is a priority." (It's not just Amy, all four of us are taking this too easily)
"With the Mana, I got last night, I can make a decent-sized training room," I announced, shaking worries from my head. "Also, how do I learn magic?"
Amy suddenly raised her hand. I lifted my eyebrow and asked if she needed anything. "Well, first, I really need some undergarments." She said as her face turned pink all the way to her now slightly pointed ears.
My face must have shown my confusion because her face turned even redder. "Unlike fairies," she mumbled, "I prefer to wear undergarments."
"Okay." I shifted my gaze to the Fairies, who looked stricken at Amy's words and urged them to gather some undergarments for Amy. I also turned my attention to their skirts and sure enough, neither had anything underneath. Frowning at the naughty fairies, I ask. "Anything else."
Amy took a deep breath and asked. "How are we paying for all this stuff" while waving her arm at everything in the room?
Confused again. I look to Tayna to answer this question. Tayna grins slyly and replies. "It's all being donated by a noble in the central ring." Sally also grinned. "He used to dreadful things, to people. So now he is helping the needy as recompense."
Amy cocked her head to the side. (since when has the governor felt bad enough about his crimes to help anyone.)

Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!
