3rd POV

It was a few days after Bakugo and Todorokie had talked to each other, and Gisei had taken it upon himself to make the food for the rest, seeing as his papa used to be the one that made most of the meals. Bakugo walks into the kitchen, looking at him. “What ya making?”

“Pasta.” Gisei hums out.

Bakugo smiled at him. “Want help?”

“Get the others up?” Gisei asks, grabbing a bowl the maids had got for him.

Bakugo nods, walking to the other rooms, sending small explosions, “Get up!” You could hear a thud from Todorokie’s room, and Shizuku poked his head out of his room, tears in his eyes. “Oops, sorry Shi, I didn’t mean to scare you.” He says, picking him up. You could also hear Dokuro whimpering, as she hugged her knees to her chest, not planning on leaving the safety of her room anytime soon. Kiwata rolled her eyes, stepping out of her room. Todorokie, knowing she didn’t like loud noises, made a B-line to her room.

Dokuro was sitting on her bed, crying softly. Todoorkie knocked on her door, quietly slipping in, sitting down on the bed. Dokuro bit her lip, not looking up at her dad, she whispers out, “w-what was that n-noise?”

“It was just Bakugo.” Todorokie signs, rubbing her back, softly.

“It was…?” She asks, looking up at him, and he nods.

He then put his hands over her ears, “better?”

She nods, and hugs him tight, “sorry.”

He hugs her back, humming, “it’s ok.” She just nods, and smiles in response. “Wanna go down? Gisei probably made something.”

“Yeah.” She nods, standing up, stretching as she does.

Todorokie nodded, standing up as well, picking Dokuro up, “come on.” She nods, holding onto him. He then walks out of the room, before making his way back to his, where Zagae was still in his crib.

Dokuro looks at Zagae and smiles, “morning.” She whispers, knowing he can’t respond yet. Zagae cooed, reaching his hands up, and Todorokie slowly put Dokuro down, moving to pick Zagae up. She looks at him, “I wish he could already talk.”

He chuckles, reaching down to hold her hand, “in a year, he’ll be talking your ear off.”

She smiles, “good!” She hums. Todorokie chuckles at that, pulling Dokuro out, with Zagae in his arms. She followed, still humming softly.

Todorokie got into the kitchen, “someone made pasta.” He hums.

“Gisei did.” Bakugo hums back, flashing a quick, rare smile at Todorokie.

This action caused Todorokie to blink, the tips of his ears turning pink, “r-really now?” He stutters out. Gisei just rolled his eyes, stuffing his face with noodles, as Shizuki cooed, from the high chair, a plastic spoon in his mouth. Bakugo nods, humming, answering Todorokie. Kiwata giggled at their reactions, and Dokuro looked down, sighing, softly.

Todorokie awkwardly looks down, silently slurping his noodles. Zagae sat beside Shizuku, both of them unaware of how their parents looked. Dokuro silently ate, and Kiwata ate with a small smile on her face. Todorokie nods, the noodles gone, “I should go back to work.” He mumbles, standing up, taking his plate to the sink.

“Want any help?” Bakugo asks, humming slightly.

Todoroki chuckles, "You're bound to" he hums, putting the newly washed plates aside, "We run a Yakuza together."

Bakugo chuckles, standing up "guess you're right. " Todoroki nods, he stops, turning to the kids, looking like he wants to say something

Gisei sighs, "....just go" he mumbles, slurping up the last of his noodles. Dokuro just looks down, and Bakugo looks at Gisei, sighing. Todorokie just nods, slowly walking out of the dining room, Bakugo following him out.

“What do you guys think…? About them being a thing…?’ Gisei asks, the other two. “It’s obvious there’s tension...but it feels like papa never existed with how fast this is happening…” He mutters, placing his head on the table.

“I don’t know...I don’t know how I feel about this…” Dokuro mutters, looking down at the ground.

Gisei sighs, sitting back up, “...we can’t stop them” he mutters, looking down, popping a candy on his hand.

Dokuro nods, “yea, but that doesn’t mean we have to like it.” Gisei nods, leaning back in his chair. “What are we going to do now?”

Gisei shrugs, moving to pick Shizuku up, “leave them be? I don’t want to accidentally walk in on things.”

“I guess…” She sighs.

Gisei picks Shizuku up, “wanna head to the library?”

“I guess…” She repeats, shrugging.

Gisei turns to Kiwata, “coming?” She nods, standing up, following them out.

The five kids made their way to the library, their small feet padding away from the dining area, away from their fathers. After walking for about two minutes, they all walk into the library. Gisei sat down in a bean bag, shizuku in his lap. Dokuro sat beside him holding Zagae, and Kiwata sat beside Dokuro.

It was silent in the library , a stack of books near one of the bean bags stood, a silent reminder of how much Noya spent her time here, reading to either the kids or herself, Dokuro accompanying her every time. Dokuro bit her lip, tears falling down her face, as she looked at the stack of books. “Mommy planned on finishing that stack this week…” Zagae cooed, sensing his sister’s mood drop. Gisei looked down, even though she wasn’t his mother, she still had a special place in his heart. Kiwata's regular happiness was gone, she might not be blood related but they were still family.

The library felt cold, the usual warmth of it’s gone, not even the fireplace could seem to change it. Dokuro bit her lip, silently crying.Zagae coos, rolling himself so that he’s facing his sister. She looked at him with a small smile, “hey.” She whispers. Zagae cooed again, scooting himself higher. She wiped her tears, looking at him, wondering what she was trying to do. Zagae reached a hand out, patting her cheek. She chuckled, hugging him tightly. He squealed, resting his arms on your shoulder. She looks around, “it’s too quiet…”

Gisei nods, distracting himself with Shizuku, the smell of sweets would be in the air through right now.” He mutters, his voice breaking towards the end.

“Books would be scattered around as well…” Dokuro mutters.

“Another box would be delivered in.” Gisei adds.

“Singing would be heard as well.” Kiwata adds.

“The kitchen would be buzzing with life…” Gisei mutters, his voice wavering.

“Stories of their past would be told.” Kiwata mutters.

“The rare sound of uncle Sho laughing, playful shouting filling the air.” Dokuro adds.

“Uncle Bakugo would be yelling die or cussing, and uncle Candy would smack him,” Kiwata chuckles.

Gisei lets out a wet chuckle, ignoring how it seems to have echoed. “...our house...I never noticed it was so big until now…” He whispers.

“It seems so...empty now…” Kiwata mutteres.

Gisei looks down, pulling Shizuku closer, “it upsets me more that Zagae and Shi will barely have memories of them…”

More tears fall down Dokuro’s face, “we can tell them stories through.”

“Show them photos.” He hums, and Dokuro nods.

Meanwhile, in the office, the sound of keys clicking could be heard, a thick tension in the air. Bakugo was just staring at the screen, not knowing what to say. Todorokie was so close to just hitting his head against the table, he doesn’t know why there was tension, they never had this problem before, so why now? Bakugo groaned, getting annoyed by the silence.

Todorokie sighed, leaning back in his chair, dramatically throwing his arms over his eyes. “What the fuck is wrong with us?” Bakugo growls out. Another sigh left Todorokie, and Bakugo continued groaning.

Todorokie shot up, “I can’t.” He mumbles, out, walking out of the office in a hurry. Bakugo blinked, wondering if he said something wrong.

Todorokie sped to his room, crashing down on my bed, hugging Noya’s pillow, relishing the fading scent it offered.

Bakugo sighed and just went back to work, not sure what to do.

It was quiet. It felt so quiet, cold, and they felt so small in the house they were in, no matter how close the kids were to each other, it feels like they were getting further and further from their remaining parents. Everyone was drifting apart, and no one knew how to fix it.

Nightfall came and no one visited anyone, the kids were silent as they made their way to their rooms, even the two infants were being quiet. The kids had put the infants to bed for Todorokie and Bakugo. Todorokie hasn’t come out of his room ever since he left Bakugo in the office.

Bakugo sighed and got up, he had barely gotten any work done after Todorokie left and went to his room, throwing a pillow at the wall. The only reply he got was a soft thump. Bakugo sat down on the bed, his head in his hands. He just wanted Candy to come back. Unfortunately though, the dead don't come back.

Gisei was in his room, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Dokuro was in her room, staring at a stack of books she and Noya were supposed to read together.

Even Kiwata was quiet, which wasn’t normal for her.

The silent mansion filled with memories seems to pull them all away from each other. The next morning, the sun peeked out. It was a brand new day, though no one but the infants got a wink of sleep. Even though it was a new day, no one cared, all motivation was gone.

The staff quietly walked around the house, some of them not having the heart to touch the books that were scattered around the house, nor to wake anyone up. It was completely silent, even the wind was silent, it was like the wind was mourning as well.

Todorokie sat up, eyes rimmed red, eye bags under his eyes, he looked tired. No one came to wake him up, Dokuro never came to lay with him either. He looked around, his eyes glossed over, “...it’s quiet…” he mutters, as usually when he wakes up, the sound of pages being turned greeted him.

Dokuro finally got up and went to her dad’s room, knocking on the door, asking if she could come in. Todorokie blinked, dragging his feet to the door, slowly pulling it open, he looked down, spotting his princess, “hey princess,” he whispers, his voice rough. She looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy as she hugged him tightly. He slowly crouches down, landing on his bottom, pulling Dokuro closer.

She sniffled, “I miss them.” They both sat there, tears falling like waterfalls, as each tear slid down, their hearts became lighter.

Dokuro was trembling, as Todorokie started to hum, standing up, walking back over to the bed, carrying Dokuro. She held onto him, still trembling. “Would you like to hear stories?” She nods, “what would you like to hear about?” He hums some more.

“Anything.” She says, her voice so quiet, you could barely hear her. Todoorkie nods, telling her stories about Noya, Dokuro chuckling sadly throughout most of them.

Todoorkie smiled, “she loves you, Kiwata, Gisei, his brothers, and your brothers very much,” he pauses, “you were her treasures.”

“Then why did she have to leave?” She asks, looking up at him.

Todoroki's eyes dimmed, "...it was my fault" he whispers, "...I wasn't strong enough...she told us to stop, to leave the bargain behind....but we-...we didn't listen" he voice wavers.

Dokuro looks at him "don't blame yourself. "

"But it is, she and Candy got in the crossfire, trying to stop the two of us from breaking into war," a broken chuckle left him, "...if we just...listened, none of this would have happened." He mutters, his voice breaking, and Dokuro hugged him tightly, Todorokie hugging her back just as tight, a lonely tear falling down his face.

She sniffled, “what’s gonna happen between you and uncle Bakugo?”

A light blush fanned his cheeks, “I-I don’t know princess.” He whispers, “I really don’t know.”

She sighed, “why are you moving on so fast?”

“...I guess you could say, I...I want to distract myself.” He mumbles.

She bites her lip and nods, “ok.”

Todorokie sighs, “what would you do if it did happen in the future?”

“I don’t know...there’s nothing I can do about it…” She mumbles.

“But would you accept…?” He whispers.

“I don’t know...I just want you to be happy…”

Todorokie nods, pecking Dokruo’s hair, “if it does happen, I would never forget about your mother.” He pauses, humming, “I have and always will love her.” She just nods, hugging him again. He hugs her back, “I love you princess, don’t forget that. Prince too,” he hums.

“I love you too daddy…”

Todorokie hums, pulling back, “why don’t we go to the library? Read some books?” She just bites her lip, shaking her head. He nods, rubbing her back, “ok, it’s still fresh sorry, my mistake.” She just nods, sniffling a bit.
