*Ding dong* *ding dong* ding dong,* *ding ding ding ding ding ding*
I throw my sheets up into the air quickly use my storage ring to dress and sprint down them mutha fuckin' stairs and swung the door right open.
[Kurake]
"WHAT?!" I yell in an outburst of rage.
It turned out it was Ishikawa and Sato ringing my doorbell, and they had come over to study since I had spent most of my spring break furthering my training and hadn't had any time to hit the books.
[Kurake]
"So you 2 are friends huh? Who would've thunk."
"I guess you have an extreme talent for making friends, I wonder if that makes you an easy person?"
[Ishikawa]
"How does that make me easy?"
[Kurake]
"I don't know."
[Ishikawa]
"Huh?"
[Sato]
"Enough, let's start studying."
[Kurake]
"Here I thought you were a delinquent."
[Sato]
"How rude."
[Ishikawa]
"She's only like that when you get on her bad side."
[Kurake]
"Yep, yep I don't wanna get tackled again."
[Ishikawa]
"Tackled!? The fuck did you do?"
[Kurake]
"Hmmm~ I wonder." I stare right into Sato's eyes with the smuggest look I could muster. she then immediately looks away.
[Sato]
"I know it was my mistake alright? Here's a math book to help you study." She grabs the nearest book which happened to be an English book at throws it at me.
I catch the book so fast that a normal human wouldn't even be able to see my arm move.
Crap I reflexively caught the book.
[Kurake]
"Ah- how lucky of me to have been able to catch the book that Sato has thrown at me so let's begin our studying," I say in a robotic voice. phew, that should've thrown them off my trail.

They stared at me inquisitively so I hit the books to ignore their stares they soon followed suit.
[Strange voice]
"Speech LVL -24"
[Kurake]
"Huh?" What's with the negative?
The 2 girls look at me startled.
[Kurake]
"Uhhh sorry, ima get going to hit the restroom real quick."
I walk to the bathroom. close the door and start questioning what just happened.
[Kurake]
"um hello?" Making sure to keep my voice down.
[Strange voice]
"Hello."
I jump back, urked from the fact that something or someone responded to me.
[Strange voice]
"I see you are confused. I shall explain to keep it short I am the ring embedded into your soul. My former master, your father, has left me in charge of making sure you survived. Unfortunately, it seems both your father and I hadn't considered how long it would take for my systems to activate."
[Kurake]
"So you just woke up?"
[Strange voice]
"Yes, and no. I had been awake since you joined that training camp in the summer to hone your powers. So I decided to aid my new master as to collect data on your abilities."
A window screen popped up in front of me.

The List went on, basically describing all the skills and tricks I've picked up my entire life.
[Kurake]
"Ugh I need to deal with this later, just don't talk till I tell you to. From now on I will refer to you as Systle"

I could deal with this once Sato and Ishikawa leave.
[Kurake]
"Back~"
[Ishikawa]
"You sure took your sweet time."
We all hunkered down and studied till the sun went down.
[Ishikawa]
"Ugh, that was not as fun as I'd hoped it would be, "Ishikawa yawns and stretches.
[Kurake]
"This isn't a sleepover or anything, also Sato you've been awfully quiet."
[Sato]
"I've just got nothing to say to you." She glares at me.
Ah, she's probably still pissed from when I brought up our meeting.
[Kurake]
"Sorry, I won't bring it up ever again. It may as well have never happened, so please stop being angry."
[Sato]
"hmph, apology accepted I guess."
After walking them to the train system I lay sprawled out on my bed and lay on my back.
[Kurake]
"Systle, can you give me details about some of my skills and levels."
[Systle]
"Ask away."
[Kurake]
"Whats Vampiracy?"
[Systle]
"Vampiracy represents how strong your vampire abilities are. It's good that you brought this up because we need to talk master," Systle's tone became serious.
"You need to drink blood. Master, you have to understand that you need blood to survive. You haven't been drinking enough blood at all. Once your Vampiracy hits 0, you're dead."
[Kurake]
"haaa,~ it's easier said than done. I won't go around hunting humans. And getting blood bags is quite difficult."
[Systle]
"Then I would recommend using the "vampire lord" skill,"
[Kurake]
"Can you give me a description?"
[Vampire lord]:
"Allows the owner to transform a human into a subvampire, the sub vampire won't be able to resist orders from the vampire lord. To activate owner must use the skill while feeding on the selected human. Leveling up the skill will unlock familiar powers."
[Kurake]
"Whats famaliar powers?"
[Systle]
"You need to unlock the skill to see the description, now that you've heard my solution wh-"
[Kurake]
"No!"
"I won't be feeding on anyone, you know exactly why."
[Systle]
"Yes, master."
I pull the sheets over my head and once again had a horrible night's rest...

Khaldir's Observer
Markus Kuberski, a 21-year-old mechanical engineering student at the Vienna University of Technology and a weeb, is bored by life. He has no girlfriend he cannot meet up with his friends because there is another Covid-lockdown and getting a side-job is also unsuccessful. Therefore, he has started to write a web novel. “If I cannot be the main character with magical powers and a harem full of cute girls in real life then I will create my own universe and be its protagonist.” Although that has been his first thought, he neither dare to use himself as the main character’s template nor write a harem story. “I am not that desperate!” he muses to himself. Little does he know that he will get more than he asked for when a mighty existence becomes interested in his story and makes it a reality. Hello, this is my first attempt at creating something like a novel. English is also not my native language, so expect some grammar and punctuation issues. I am using Grammarly to help myself in this regard, but in some areas, the free app cannot correct everything. There is currently no fixed schedule, although I believe that two chapters per week should be reasonable. Depending on how much time I have, I can write more.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. Of Life and Light
Home. By definition, such a word means "A place where one lives", but what happens when one is removed from their home by those with greater authority? One would seek out another place to live, of course. Karastak, a Devil King and a Fallen God of a world called Terra, was removed from his world by something greater than himself, and has journeyed to the world of Azzarath by way of Azazel, God King of the Azzarathean Pantheon. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more. Special thanks to Ms. Brown from http://www.offbeatworlds.com/ for the cover.
