《Vamped up》Chapter 5 - Training

[Kurake]
"Hurgh-"
I woke up inside a lodge at the training site. Wrapped up in blankets.
[Emika]
"A-ah you're up?" she peeks her meek head from a corner
[Kurake]
"Y-yeah."
I should be dead. But I'm not? This wasn't the first time I've seen this though this is on a more extreme scale. When my father was shielding me from an explosion when I was young.
[Kurake]
"U-uhm... How am I still alive?"
[Emiko]
"Because your a progenitor dumbass." She dashes out from the corner that Emika was hiding behind. Emika also walks out from, said corner and came into my full view.
[Emiko]
"Seems like you you're more ignorant than we had thought," she whispers under her breath.
[Emika]
"A Proginator is practically immortal, progenitors represent the entire species. As long as vampires or subvampires exist you will also exist. Though each vampire progenitor has different abilities throughout history."
[Emiko]
"You are the second-ever Vampire progenitor, the beastmen Progenitor has had 4 and the humans still have their first progenitor. Your father could create whatever magic items as long as he had the material and mana."
[Emika]
"Most modern-day humans lack mana, there is a special class of fighter students who are extremely strong and possess mana, within our school."
[Kurake]
"Lemme guess, class S?"
[Emiko]
"Ding-ding-ding."
Class S was something like an urban legend in our school. They have their area and everything all to themselves. So they rarely go to the main campus.
[Emiko]
"To be honest we don't know much about vampire progenitors in what gets transferred over after a new progenitor is created."
[Emika]
"Anyways~ I'm very sorry!" She gets into a dogeza.
[Kurake]
"Huh? Uh, wha-" I didn't know how to act.
[Emika]

"I went overboard I didn't think you'd be that weak!"
[Kurake]
"Ack!" Felt like somebody just stabbed me in the chest.
[Emika]
"So~ we decided that we will continue to try to kill you as fast as we can as training for you until you can fight back."
Heh?
[Kurake]
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!?~"
[Kurake]
"You know that shit hurts right?!"
[Emika and Emiko]
"We know."
[Emiko]
"We have to spartan this, god knows when people will catch wind about a new progenitor that still didn't know how to wield their power, now get off your ass!" She yanks off my sheets.
[Kurake]
"W-WAIT!"
It was too late... As the blankets flopped to the floor, so did my precious area flop into view, I had not, a, damn, thing, on. I shit I could since it, the classic trope of the women screaming and then the man being punched to the 4th dimension. It's a classic, I covered up and waited for them to punch me.
....
.....
.........
Nothing happened I look at them, both of them were looking away faces as red as a tomato.
[Emiko]
"S-sorry."
After the debacle, we continued to train day and night to the point that I was able to hold my own.
[Emiko]
"That'll be the last time we train against each other now put her up." She gestures at me.
The match begins as I lounge towards Emiko, I had cleared 35 meters in an instant I tried rushing her with an all-out attack striking where ever I saw an opening with my wooden sword trying to overwhelm her. She blocked all my attacks with precision and parried my attack. She sent me flying into a rock shattering most of the bones in my body, I felt parts of my organs entire my lungs.

I was stunned I couldn't stop myself from coughing, violently punctured my chest with my fist, and ripped out my bloody and swollen lungs. So that new undamaged pairs without gunk in them would regenerate. The second I was able to breathe normally most of my external wounds had healed. Though the pain was still there telling me that my organs were still worse for wear.
I picked up my body and closed the distance once more with my impressive agility. She does the same and strikes at my head trying to separate my head from my body. I blocked the attack sacrificing my left arm.
Such a terrifying woman, though being a mere human she was able to outpower me. I needed to step up my game if I were to win, I can't let the efforts of my training go to waste. In that case, I had to outsmart her, its gonna be painful but it's worth the try.
Instead of initiating the attack, I decided to wait for her to initiate it instead. As expected she dashes in front of me and jumps into the sky ready to perform a kick from above. I get ready to block when she suddenly switches directions mid-kick, like a breakdancer she shifts her weight and kicks my head in the side.
I block using my right hand and I use my shredded tendons and muscle to trap her leg. I then kick her up in the air and jump on top of her and I push her to the ground. Using her sword I point the wooden blade at her neck.
[Kurake]
"It's my win" I extend my undamaged arms hand out. As my damaged arm slithers and cracks back into place.
[Emiko]
"Damn cheater," She takes my hand and I pull her up.
[Emiko]
"Congrats on graduating. Though you still have more to master, you shall do that on your own. Now, LETS PARTY!" she grabs my hand and leads me to the lodging. 2 months had passed since my training.

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
