《World of Legends: True Magic》WHAT THE HELL!?!?!

Hello everyone, My friend who edits for me is stuck in the hospital, with no computer or internet access.... so here is another unedited work... Remember to rate and Comment!
<><><><><><><><><><><><>><><><><><><><><><>
I squeezed into the VR pod and put the head gear on. It was dark, but then I was standing in that cloud place again. After only a few seconds a disembodied voice welcomed me with:
“Welcome back Seth it has been nearly 2 in game days since your character last moved. Normally if you don’t have shelter it would leave you open to attack, molestation, robbery, death, ect. You need to find some form of shelter. It can be at an inn, tent, a cleared out cave, even the top of a tree. As long as it has a covering and is dedicated as a safe zone by you. Only because this is your first and hopefully your last offense we have provided an emergency save zone for you. Please wait while your server connects.”
After the voice was done talking everything went dark except for a little percentage bar in the corner of my vision giving me a synthesis and buffing update. But woops! I thought that because the alley was in the city it was automatically safe, however I guess I forgot to make it a safe zone. Thank the Seven spirit gods for their leniency on this mistake.
Within a minute after it started loading if felt that my body was being crushed. I opened my eyes, and I was absolutely covered in garbage. I guess this would classify as a roof, which is why they let me get away with it….
Tunneling myself out of the mountain of garbage I found myself in. I could vaguely see various trees and the tower in the opposite direction. When I got to the last layer I lunged myself out, erupting from one side of the giant trash mound. On my way out I ended up shocking a little elf girl. She fell back on her butt and I was able to get a good look at her. She was small and looked to be around 12 years old she had on a black sleeveless shirt and matching shorts. She had a dark tan with blue tribal tattoos carved on her arms, legs, and face. I was able to recognize a two of them as animals but the others were too obscured to me.
After turning away from the girl I was sort of pissed off. Well this is great! Do they really have to treat me like garbage here too!? After a minute my anger dissipated, because out of the corner of my eye I find a treasure! Sticking out of one of the garbage mounds was a staff with a large clear crystal attached to it! Normally the only way to get a staff around here was to either join the tower or steal from someone else. Stealing a staff is normally stupid because staffs are blood bound to the Mage that owns it. I couldn’t believe my luck! I tried to get up on the shifting pile of garbage, but I couldn’t keep my balance.
Most hardworking and straightforward people would keep going till they got it, but never underestimate the power of someone who can give up in an instant. Changing my tactics I just rolled over so that I was on all fours, and I shot up like a retarded puma. Grabbing the staff and yanking it out like King Arthur did Excalibur. I also couldn’t help but shout out:
“By the power of Grey Skull I have the power!”

The little girl who I had surprised earlier, was giggling at my antics until that very moment because as I finished shouting the sky turned black and rain started to fall. The little girls eyes became huge with fear. As I tried to lower my newly acquired staff and cover my face from the rain a blast of lightning struck the staff. Due to the “magic” of conduction because I was holding onto the staff it sent me flying from the shock.
-100 damage, gained a passive skill elemental resistance due to being hit by lightning you now develop a slight resistance to it 5% damage reduced to lightning based attacks.
Passive skill learned knock-back resistance due to being hit by knock-back several time you now have a 50% chance to resist knock-back this skill cannot be improved
Ouch after I tried to sit up my vision was slightly blurry. However I was glad I just learned 2 new skills. I was going to say, I’ve felt like I was getting tossed around a lot lately. This should help me stand my ground later. Too bad it can’t be trained. Now I have a skill that could help me survive that Rabbit boss. Having damage from getting stuck by lightning based attacks reduced would be huge in a battle with a lightning monster. The problem is how to train that without getting continually shocked…
Right before I forget I need to check the staff. I use Identify:
Identify failed
OK, again
Identify failed
lets try this one more time...
Identify failed
This is pissing me of!!!
I tried using Identify over ten more times, and still it would not work. Well that's just great I got a staff but I don’t know jack about it! Taking the staff I placed it into my inventory and just sat there for a few more minutes. Now I guess I need to learn some new magic. I started to hoist myself up I noticed that little elven girl staring Intently at me. I have a really bad feeling about this.

On the other side of the forest in the tower. The Archmages where in the middle of teaching their various classes or fulfilling their numerous duties throughout the tower. As if a blast of frozen air had hit them all of the Mages up to the 7th rank started to shiver uncontrollably. All of those who have obtained a higher rank felt a heavy pressure. Everyone could feel a large disturbance not far from their tower.
Just to the south a vast amount of magic had been used to cast an 8th tier spell. Judging from its composition it should be the “Storms lightning” spell. Storm lightning uses the water from the rain to soak the ground, and then the thunder crashes down dealing large area damage.
Archmage Lawson stood up and had a small frown on his face, He has never felt this energy signal before, it didn’t belong to any of the Mages from the tower, or other large countries, and it was much too soon for that boy to even touch a 3rd tier spell let alone an 8th. There must be someone who has decided to challenge the might of the Tower.
At this thought a large almost evil smile appeared on his old elegant face. If they wished to challenge the Tower it will take much more than a lowly 8th tier spell, my unknown friend I will happily await you. For I am the Divine Spirit of Fires Chosen! Sitting back down he continued to do the miscellaneous paper work for the tower. Pausing for a second, then the entire stack burned into ashes, then the ashes burned themselves leaving nothing left of the former paper. The excitement was driving him crazy, but in his mind he knew it would be better to wait and get an even better toy to play with.

*********
As I was walking out of the huge land fill, I was followed by the little elf girl. After watching me cast a high level spell, she introduced herself as Sapha Woodwind age 14 level 15 summoner. (just old enough to play) She wanted to tag along and learn from a master magician. No matter how much I told her I was nothing but a level 4 novice, she wouldn’t believe me. I even told her I failed the tower entrance exam. Still she was stubborn and continued to say she would follow me even if I didn’t want her to. After an hour of pointlessly wasting my time I gave up….
So here we are. I’m in the lead walking to a secluded place to try and see if the techniques of the real world work here. The clearing we come to is a starter area, with only rabbits and small game around. Sapha walks calmly into the clearing and summons one of her creatures, a wolf. After casting the spell the tattoo was glowing and out of thin air the wolf appeared. Sapha ordered it to massacre the local rodent population. I had done a little investigation into summoning when I was waiting for the game to be released.
The summoning class is a strange class. It has virtually no offensive spells but relies on boosting the creatures that you can summon. To use a summon requires a contract with a spirit. The caster and the Spirit form a soul bond. The Mage can call on the spirit from within the spirit world to help fight anywhere in the mortal plain.
The largest drawbacks are that the Mage themselves have almost no offensive capabilities, and that the summon Spirits are mana guzzlers. The reason is because the spirits have no physical bodies. In order to fight they must use mana to form a body. It is a constant drain on ones mana reserves. Also the spirit has its own level. As it kills it gains half the total experience. So unless you kill monsters yourself you will only gain levels half as fast as other classes. If you have more summons out then the less experience everyone gets. But the stronger you get the stronger your spirit summon naturally is. I read the final summons is a King Black Dragon, but to get it you have to do an insane level S quest by yourself.
After watching Sapha and her wolf decimate most of the small fries, I began to get down to business. The first thing on my list is to try and use my mana manipulation and form mana weapons. That is the most likely technique to work here.
I sit cross legged on the ground and close my eyes. I calm down and focus. I pull the mana from my body and bring it outside, it tries to fight me, to dissipate, yet it still holds. Now to make a shape, to make a dagger, a short, sharp dagger. I’m hard at work forcing my mind to focus solely on the shape of a dagger. I continue to feel the ball of mana in my hand start to take shape, to slowly……
Boom
The ball exploded. I ended up with not taking any damage, but it was still a shock. What the hell just happened? I could feel everything going just fine what the hell?! I didn’t put a lot of mana into it, but yet it still exploded? Trying to think calmly about it I think I just tried to form it too fast. Lets try again.
Sitting down, I closed my eyes. Again I draw the mana from my body, to force it to stay close to my hand. It again tries to fight me I feel it. I keep my mind solidly on the form, the shape of a dagger. The blade needs to be sharp, and strong, the hilt needs to just be long enough for my hand to hold. I continue to picture it made form nothing but my mana.
With my mind I can see the ball of mana slowly take on the shape I wish to use. It slowly starts to stretch, to expand in one direction and forms the blade. The ball then starts to collapse and form a hilt, suddenly it expanded too fast. It formed longer and longer then….
Booom
It exploded yet again…. What is wrong, why won’t it take the shape of a freaking dagger?! I decide to get up and walk around for a bit. Sapha was laying down on her wolf not too far away. Any animals that respawn are food for the wolf. I walk over to her not sure why, but I wanted to ask her something.
“Hey Sapha, when I was forming a shape with my mana what did you think it looked like.”
She thought a little. Tilting her head cutely with a thinking look on her face. To me it looked funny, but soon she replied.
“I’m sorry master I’m not very good with weapons, especially exotic weapons. I don’t know exactly what you were trying to make but it looked an awful lot like a short lance or a javelin to me.”
A lance? Suddenly a strange feeling fell over me, something about a dream, I can’t quite remember. But using a lance… That would be awesome! With a new plan in my head I walked back to my spot. This time I remained standing up. I focused, feeling my mana, ALL of my mana, I poured it out and shaped it into a ball in front of my chest. I gently placed my hand on top of the floating orb of mana and willed it to turn into a Lance.
I felt the power surge from within and it took the shape almost like it was made to. It shifted into the shape of a nasty looking short lance. Not to be mistaken for a jousting lance, which are a joke, this was a weapon of war! I grabbed the glowing glass like weapon. Looked at it in wonder, as if on instinct I began drawing my arm back I hefted it up over my shoulder and threw it into the forest with all my might.
Because my strength is a joke, and I've never thrown a lance in my life, I didn’t throw it very hard, but it launched itself like a rocked from my hand. The force made me stumble a little. The lance was flying at such a fast speed it punctured through the tree I was aiming at and continued its flight. As it continued to fly I started receiving a torrent of notifications.

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
