《Bathilda the Bat》Brat

With her hit and run plan in ruins, Bathilda silently glides her towards the location where she first met the Milisnake. The only discernable noise is the flap of her wings each time she needs to adjust altitude.
'So far, so good!' Echolocations range increase means that Bathilda can now see more of her surroundings with each single X-ray like picture. This means less usages for her skill which will result in slower level ups, but seeing how she is able to notice any approaching threats from a greater distance she is more than happy with the trade off.
Just past the long room where Bathilda had her first encounter is a short tunnel leading into another room of equal proportions to the last. Inside it, is a single Brat. It appears to be searching for something that is hidden within the rubble strewn vicinity.
Pushing on towards the end of her currently empty room, Bathilda casts Echolocation again once she reaches the tunnel, increasing her viewing range to make sure the new target is alone.
'Yes! This time I'm not going to let myself get sucker punched. With my speed and defence boost, I can do this. I've got this,' psyching herself up once again, Bathilda set off with her new increased speed and resolve.
Knowing her target will sense her at a certain distance, just as the others have done and there's no time to waste in her mind. She darts through the top of the short tunnel in seconds, emerging into the Brat's room like a bullet. Bathilda starts to descend, which increases her speed even further as she heads straight towards the back of her unaware foe.
Just as she thinks her enemy may be too preoccupied to sense her arrival, the Brat turns around and screeches loudly just as the others did, right before it begins to charge at her. Expecting this outcome, Bathilda laughs in her mind, not out of insanity but instead from a foolhardy confidence in her plan.

Just before she enters striking distance, this time she retracts her wings midair right before the Brat swings a heavy brown claw at her. Gravity, being a factor in this world just as any other, helps Bathilda narrowly escape a potential decapitation as the last enemy that hit her didn't have long sharp claws to worry about. Working in tandem with gravity, she flips over in the air hitting the ground with her back and slides beneath the overgrown furry abomination.
With a death blow successfully evaded and a sly poison laced chomp applied on her way under its midsection, Bathilda rolls out from the opposite end of the Brat and attempts to take flight.
The jaw dropping manoeuvre which she has just performed didn't come without its own injuries though. Both of her wing's are in pain and a small tear is visible within her left leathery appendage, not enough to hinder her escape but enough to put her into a definite retreat mode.
'I can't believe that worked, I'm Fucking Evel Kneivel! Now it's time to leave, the poison will kill that fool,' as she attempts to push off a thick, pink rope wraps around her right wing and body. As Bathilda realises that the rope isn't actually a rope, but instead the tail of the creature she just took a bite out of her heart sinks in despair. She flails the best she can and flaps her damaged left wing to no avail before the patchy dry tail turns her around to face a set of large disgusting rodent teeth and a beedy pair of red eyes.
'No! Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I can't move!' Bathilda can only watch in horror as the monster constricting her clamps it's mouth down on what she would consider to be her shoulder and left wing.

Unable to bite clean through, the Brat shakes it head whilst trying it's best to remove the wing from her body. Crying on the inside and screaming all hell, Bathilda realises that the stupid creature has made the same foolish mistake she had once made herself. It had entered her striking distance.
Not letting her opportunity go to waste, Bathilda chomps down hard on the creature that's still shaking her wild. Again. And again. Just as she had done with the snake, right after her chat with Florence.
'Fucking, Florence!' she screams inwardly as she continously chomps over and over again. Before she has realised it, both Bathilda and the Brat have found themselves on the floor and she is still chomping down hard into its neck. Unnoticed are the notifications about her level ups. The same can said for any thoughts she was having prior. About the Brat. About Florence. Now, there is only the zone. Eventually, Bathilda's final bite removes the head of the monster beneath her before the trance like state she's in finishes and her senses return.
Looking at the gruesome mess of the monster that was about to kill her, Bathilda feels little sympathy for the way she ended its life. Although, for someone who's dedicated their whole life to helping other people, such an act is something that she's not sure she's comfortable with.
Survival dictated that that the Brat had to die, in her mind it did anyway. 'In the Brat's case, it was probably the opposite situation,' she thinks to herself.
'Why the hell did I go all bat shit crazy at the end there? I'm pretty sure it died after the third or fourth bite, so why did I keep going? It felt... Animalistic, maybe? No, maybe it was my frustration thinking about Florence's crappy idea of help? Whatever it was, it doesn't even matter. What did I get from that one?' checking the notifications that she missed whilst chowing down, a ray of light is shed on her sudden actions.
