《Bathilda the Bat》A Quick Chat

Opening her eyes for a second time on her new world, Bathilda could only feel pain. Her whole body screamed in agony. She could move neither one of her feet and both her recently-discovered-to-be wings were also broken.
Luckily, if you can name such a situation by that definition, she had landed on top of her much larger and softer adversary. It wasn't enough to stop her injuries but it was enough to avoid an instant death. If they were to find their roles reversed, Bathilda would provide no cussion for her enemy and it would have squashed her flat due to her small stature.
'Shitty second life. The tornado was.. wasn't even as bad as this.' Cursing her new chance to help people, as the only person in need right now is her, Bathilda spots a new sight she has yet to notice. It is a small red blip in the corner of her eye, hardly even visible. Next to it are a small amount of letters and numbers.

'Is this how my new life ends?' she asks no one in particular.
Suddenly, a large blue portal opens infront of her and the familiar face of Florence pops her head out "Terribly sorry Bat, we may have failed to mention a few things before God sent you off like that," the blonde bombshell bows her head through the year in reality.
'You think!' Bathilda tries to shout back, releasing a new round of horrendous pain upon herself.
"It damages reality for God to do this for long so just listen. I know things seem bleak for you right now but all you have to do is level up and get stronger. Earn yourself new skills and level up the ones you already have. As you get stronger, you will get bigger. Remember that every big fish starts small. Oh, and monsters. On this world, there are real monsters, not like earth where monsters hide in alleys or in places of ill respute. Monsters of legends, dragon, griffins and all other manner creatures you can think of, you are more than likely to encounter them here. Not all creatures are inclined toward death and destruction, or live by the rule survival of the fittest. You will have to use your own judgement to make the decision over right and wrong, good and bad."

'How the hell am I supposed to do that when I'm literally almost dead, Florence!' A further session of pain therapy ensues as Bathilda slips off the top of the somehow-still-alive snake pile and lands face down on its head.
Another bout of screaming and shouting can be heard through muffled words and vibrations.
When it stops Florence reveals the solution to Bathilda's problem. "To regain your lost life force you will have to finish off the opponent beneath you. If you do not, then when it manages to recuperate, it will likely eat you instead." she informs Bathilda who is still in agony but has managed to face the portal dwelling dead woman.
'So kill the snake? How? I can't move if you haven't noticed, Florence!'
The portal begins to close and the old nurse smiles one last time at Bathilda. "You have teeth, do you not? If you cannot figure a way out of this situation then... That would be unfortunate for you. This is also the last time our paths will cross like this. Farewell and goodluck." With that, Florence and the interdimensional space call are finished.
'I... Have... Teeth? What the hell, Florence!? I'll show you teeth!' In a fit of anger, Bathilda bites down into the snake's head, piercing the eye she was next to with out noticing. She bites through the pain caused by tensing her body. She keeps on biting even when her limbs go cold. As she bites down to make sure the stupid snake receives the same fate as her, a new notification appears followed by a surge of strength and health filling her small body. The new feeling heals her broken bones and all the internal damages she was unaware of. The notification confirms what Florence had just told her and informs her of lots of new information.

Millisnake has been slain
Bathilda has reached Level 10
Chomp has reached Level 5
Flight has reached Level 2
Poison Fang has been acquired
Wing Slash has been acquired
Skill Points have been acquired
Evolution is now possible
'I like the sound of my new skills, especially Wing Slash. That sounds like a super move. Maybe when I manage to get a better understanding of my body, I'll be able to use it.' Looking back up at the part where her level is shown, Bathilda's realises that in any situation other than this, she would have been snake food.
'The level increase is likely why I'm able to evolve now but how do I go about that? And what exactly is going to happen to me when it does? I wonder how I spend these skill points too? Stupid Florence, she barely even said anything useful whilst she was here. Honestly, what was the point in her even showing up?' Angry and confused Bathilda picks herself up from the snakes head and steadily glides her way down to the floor, after she finds it through the aid of another Echolocation. With Flight up to level 2, she manages to make a better job of gliding than she did with her previous attempt earlier.
Landing on the ground, her newly refreshed body feels fantastic. Or as good as it can do still being off feom what she knows. Apart from the pain residing in her memory, she is free from any physical aspect of it.
Keeping her eyes on the new notification that seems to move with her, Bathilda thinks about the word 'evolution' and another notification pops up. This one is also new to her and even offers her a choice.
Evolution available:
Current Species: Baby Wingtail Bat
Possible Choices for Evolution:
Mature Wingtail Bat:
Poisonous Bat:
In her mind, which is still processing all the new information that she is trying to cope it, she adds one more dilemma to the ever growing list of problems that have been accruing. The list began the moment the tornado burst into life as she was heading home work on what was just another rainy day in Fremont.
'Ah, when life use to be simple.'

The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets. Will Kardian be able to survive in this new savage world or will his naive outlook lead him to a dead end? Volume 1 can be bought on Amazon: Resonance High

This is the story of a legendary magician, Roma, and how he went from typical high schooler to overpowered sorcerer.
