‘Next.’
“Hello.”
‘Name?’
“Ji, Ji Aleksy.”
‘Level?’
“Forty. Wait, what is happening here”.
‘Race?’
“Human?”
‘Place your hands into the light.’
“As soon as the Ji’s hands touched the light, a sound rung and the light vanished.”
‘Sir. Wait a moment there seems to be something wrong with the machine, I’ll be right back.’
“Heh. Machines right?
No? Hello. Oh, what are you?”
‘Kiiieee.’
“Okay.”
“Before long a well-dressed being walks into the office, he looks to be at least three times the size of a normal human. By his side is a small person one sixth of his size.”
‘Human Ji.’
“Hello there.”
‘We would like to confirm some things for us.’
“Sure thing.”
‘Name?’
“Ji?”
‘Ji what?’
“Ji Aleksy”
‘Any relation to the Aleksy family?’
“Probably.”
‘Age?’
“Thousand and something.”
‘And something?’
“And something.”
‘I’d like you to put your hand through the light, thank you.’
“Alright.”
“A familiar sequence of events occur and as soon as the light from the machine vanishes the small person beside the giant frowns and calmly reads the information outputted.”
‘Ji Aleksy, Ancestor of the Aleksy family.
One thousand three hundred and seven years old.
Human.
Level forty.
Authorized to select one master.
Authorized to enter any zone below level forty.’
“God I feel old
So how do we do this? I want to be a sorcerer, mage or like a warlock. Maybe a melee centered but with magic.”
‘Nothing written here. Only that you are level forty, we’ll need more extensive testing, come with us.’
“We follow the two agents of this mysterious establishment to a backroom while our hero constantly asks questions that subsequently get ignored.”
“Okay fine, how about like a pebble mage? No? Wait let me think on this for a moment.”
“The large being clothed in soft looking but powerful robe audibly sighs while the smaller yet even more threatening creature has a look of someone deep in thought.”
“Alright, I got it. Now stay with me on this one.
You know how you can compress stuff into small things and make them pop, like air trapped in a jar?
I could be like a super quick ninja that attacks in close combat with wind pops.
Got anything like that?”
“Time appears to have stopped, never has our protagonist spoken so much without stopping. I fear end is upon us. Leave me, save yourselves.”
‘Silence!’
“With a deep voice, the not so gentle giant lets out what could only be described as a bellow of a beast that shakes the surroundings that leaves our hero bewildered.”
‘Good.’
‘Was that necessary Kaor? I know the humans don’t seem like much but they have their moments. Remember the battle of Dawn Lake.’
‘I apologize Giore.’
“Eh?”
“It will be a few minutes before our hero regains his faculties, currently he has been put in a state of disorientation. This gives us a moment to talk, a little creative freedom if you will.

The hallway is covered in near undetectable patterns, another formation. The hallway itself doesn’t seem like it would take long to traverse but like before, this is an illusion.
Due to the rarity of a Beta, especially such a weak one. The authorities in this part of the world simply aren’t equipped to help our hero on his way, efficiently.
Soon we will undoubtedly meet a person that is able to verify Ji’s personage and facilitate his journey to a suitable master.”
‘Ji Aleksy.’
“Yes? Oh where are we? What happened?”
‘You’ll have to excuse my partner, he can a bit. Unrestrained.’
“What? Why do I feel so, so swirly, what’s the word?”
“Stupid?”
“I’m not talking to you, you bastard.”
‘Are you alright Mister Ji?’
“Ye, I’d like to sit down for a moment.”
‘Kaor.’
“Our hero gets lifted up into the hand of the giant named Kaor and its hand gets molded into the shape of a chair, which our hero happens to rest on.”
“Wow! Cool. Are you a golem?”
‘Pft, you think I am a trifling golem? Ignorant human.’
‘He’s an Erra, a variant of Eterras’
“And you? What are you?”
‘Hoho, I’m a Marf, one of few sadly. Leaves the dating pool a bit shallow.’
“Well. I mean, at least you’re a good looking Marf, right?”
‘Oh, trying to seduce a Marf? You sure you want to go down this street? She’ll eat you alive.’
‘Shut your mouth Kaor, you’re just jealous he doesn’t like them big like you.’
“You’re both women?”
“Our hero gets sapped unconscious and carried for the rest of the journey, he appears to have antagonized the two stunning beauties.”
‘Aleksy? That Aleksy?’
‘That’s not the problem sir.’
“Hello?”
‘Ah. You’re awake. Let me introduce myself. I am the commander and chief. The relentless destroyer, the divine divider, the gorgeous goddess of Fluo.’
“Kaor and Giore both roll their eyes at the magnificent introduction of one Tio oh of the Fluo. Fluo are yet another magical race with firm foundations in most things fluid.”
“Hi.”
‘Hi? That’s all? Ah, I get this a lot, you're speechless, stunned and in awe.’
“I almost feel like I know you, I don’t suppose you have any siblings that moonlight as narrators.”
‘How does one moonlight?’
“No, no. it’s a saying, meaning having a side job, a different one to you main job.”
‘The issue at hand Tio-oh.’
‘Hmm? Ah. Alright. So, Ji. Would you allow me to read you for a moment?’
“What?”
‘She wants your hand.’
“Oh. Alright.”
“The Fluo envelopes our hero’s hand and glimmers in light for moments before everything again returns to normal.”
‘Would you two mind leaving us for a moment.’
‘Alright. Chief.’
‘Chief.’
‘Now that we’re alone I have some questions, Ji.’
“Throw them at me.”
‘Are you an Original?’
“Yessiry. Straight up O, rigi, nal.”
‘You really shouldn’t answer that question so easily, people would pay a lot to get their hands on that kind of information.’

“Eh? Oh.
Ah. Right, I was actually put into sexual slavery for a bit. Actually it wasn’t that bad, only for a few hours.”
‘Were you now? Mind telling me where you came from. How you got here, why you are so low leveled and why you are so young looking whilst being so old?’
“It’s a long story.”
‘We’ve got time.’
“Our hero starts to tell his story, starting from a young age. Little baby Ji was supposedly a ‘genius’ he says, we of course believe none of this. Let’s take a quick break, get something sweet whilst he mumbles on.
We should be near the end now.”
“And then I innocently asked, you know, because I’m a curious person. I asked them if they were both women and then I woke up in here.”
‘Very interesting.’
“This woman has the patience of a saint, such tenacity, the endurance!”
“Right? Wouldn’t believe it myself if it didn’t go through it all myself.
So. About that class quest.”
“Our hero is lucky that this particular Fluo has the very restrictive job that only the world can assign. If not he would most likely be sold or more likely moved to her family’s estate for breeding.”
‘Yes, your class quest. It would appear I have myself received a quest that I have never seen as well. Oddly enough.’
“Oh? Cool. What is it?”
‘To give you a set of instructions. Also, do you humans normally walk around naked? I try to embrace all forms of culture.’
“Yes. We humans like to stay naked most of the time.
But I am not one to stand on ceremony and tradition. I would very much like to conform to your ways, if you had some clothing for me I would appreciate it.”
‘I see, I’ll have something brought in.’
“Thank you.”
‘While we wait, why not have a little bit of sex?’
“What?”
‘Just a little bit.’
“It has have dawned on the generic human we follow that his greatest value is his seed. In fact, some would argue. And I’m not saying me, but some, some would say that it is his only value.”
“For real right now? If I say no, you won’t kidnap me and chain me to a bed right?”
‘I’m afraid I cannot in any way or form, cause you harm, either directly or indirectly. At least not consciously.’
“What? Why”.
‘My family has occupied this particular position of government for generations now and we’ve reaped quite the benefits from it. And a part of this job is being completely impartial, compliant and enforcing the world’s rules.
If we stray from these rules we lose the right to the position and that would make it impossible to keep it within our control as to who would inherit this position.’
“Uhm.
There are jobs the world provides? Well that’s strange.”
‘There are yes, they are extremely rare. And very hard to keep. I for example have the innate protection of the world as long as I keep this position. It even slows my aging.’
“So. Do you have to answer all my questions or are you just really talkative?”
‘I am required to answer all questions asked of me, as long as that person has been assigned to me. You are the third person assigned to me in the last seventy years.’
“Seventy years? You don’t look older than thirty.”
‘Exactly! So. About my offer, yes or no?’
“I’ll be honest with you. It is next to impossible for me at the moment. But! And this is important. I am not. Not! Impotent.
So no. I’m extremely hyped for my class specialization. Also. Don’t suppose you got any place where I can buy some food. I’m running out of buns.
‘That’s too bad. I’ll see about getting you some supplies. And your quest, well that should be fun. We’ll get to enter a place I’ve never been into. So let’s get you some food.’
“I’m not going to lie. You’re growing on me. I do love a flexible women.”
‘Oh? Let me show you flexible.’
“One of the benefits of being Fluo is their ability to morph their body. This is limited to a degree but they can definitely be considered flexible. They are one of the strongest close combat races in the early levels exactly because of this innate quality.”
“Nice. Food is here.”
|Generic bun|
Satiety is filled.
Will continue to sustain satiety for twelve hours.
“These look a bit lackluster. Mine increase recovery. Look.”
‘My goddess. Where did you get these?’
“I just had them?”
‘I see.’
“The amount of unknown benefits our hero has indulged in are quite numerous.”
‘I’m excited to see what’s behind those doors, shall we?’
“Sorry, what?”
‘The class quest. We have to go into the quest room. It hasn’t been opened for generations.’
“We follow the two into the portal room. A few portals still omit a low droning noise. The only places without dust.”
“Oh. There are portals inside that room.”
‘How do you know that?’
“The narrator just spoke up about it.”
“The portals often lead to different dimensions so as to not interfere with the main world. This allows a lot more freedom with the locations. This is called being instanced.”
‘Hooo. You have to excuse the dust, we don’t have authority to enter this room.’
“Wow! These are portals? This looks amazing. Do you know which one I’m going through?”
‘This might sound odd but none of them. You need to activate one, they need something like a code.’
“I don’t have a code though.”
‘You have to put your hands on that imprint, every portal has one.’
“Like this?
Look. You can almost see what’s on the other side.
Alright! Cya later I’m going through!”
‘Wait! I’ll be going with you. My quest requires me to stay on the other side of the portal until you return.’
“Why?”
‘It doesn’t say.’

Myth of The World's Trees
And Simon answered their call with a single statement that nobody understood "Et super mos absit hoc hodie!" "Yah!" "WWWaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" "AAAlllllaaaaallllaaaaallllaaaa!" "EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels. I was present now, at this moment, at this point in time. I could feel the electrifying air saturating my lungs, the electrified ground vibrating at the rhythm of the approaching enemy. Then I took a step forward, everyone followed in tandem. Camilla the first, and then the others. Then I took a second step, and this time everyone followed simultaneously. Third step… Fourth step… Fifth step… Then light jogging… Speeding up… Running … Running faster…. Then suddenly, everyone disappeared into motes of light particles that re-constructed itself hundreds of feet above the horde, dozens of miles away from our initial position. We were literally 'diving' into battle.-------------------------------------------------------------------Despite a rough childhood in the slums, Omari had everything a guy could want - a loving girlfriend, an understanding sister, a wonderful teacher, and his dream job. Three months later, Damien has almost given up, but to his surprise something unexpected happens. Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
