Logging out I noticed that it hadn’t been that long since I had logged in. The time I had spent in the game before logging out was not even an hour in the real world before I needed to logout to let the ingame body rest.

Since I had a lot of free time I decided to do some research with the information I gathered.

I walked downstairs while grabbing the external drive that held what I have stored already.

Entering a room with three computer screens and a pc I connect the drive and start working on studying the information this may help later on so I should check it.

Levi PoV

After a while I open my eyes feeling groggy. It felt like my head was hurting a lot and it was really uncomfortable to the point that I held my head because of the pain.

“Your highness, due to the strain on you I have stopped using your mana since it would cause growth problems later on for you. Master is able to slowly deal with this so leave it to him.” The drone said as I felt the strain on my head lessen.

I sigh in relief as the pounding in my head weakens.

It was then I noticed how quiet it was.

“Where is the woman?” I asked.

“The guest has left through a portal I opened for her.” The drone said. So she can open the portals as well, that is interesting.

“Did you plant the herbs we gathered?” I asked.

“Yes, the seeds were spread and rapidly grew thanks to masters mana in the air and then spread further in waves. I have already gathered a sizable pile of all the same herbs master possessed. I have taken to separating them in shelves inside the freezer by plant type.” She said.

“You identified them?” I asked.

“No, I simply put the same plants I gathered in the same shelf.” she said the most obvious answer one could give.

I had to admit that it was dumb of me to not think of that.

I yawn as I think of what to do now.

Thinking I should breed the bugs for daddy I called up the list for the bugs at tier 1 and put them all to breed with a pair of equal potential.

Then, cause I was bored, flew to daddy’s room and crawled into bed with him and fell asleep with a smile on my face while putting his arm around me like he was hugging me.

Flor PoV

Once I had split from Droso I went and purchased lots of materials for potions and then got string to make necklaces from the rabbit’s foot.

Since he had bled all of them it was all medium or high quality.

After walking about and thinking of what I needed, I realized I needed to make the potions faster. Since I only had the basic kit I went to an alchemist shop and bought a better one that would help me work faster and do much more like using magic to dry things with something called a runic slab.

It was a 40x40 cm marble block with several circles drawn over each other with magic. When you pour mana into it the circles rise and you set them up in the proper setting and positions. It came with a manual so you wouldn’t screw up.

There were several settings such as, dry, separate compound, mix, refine, synthesis.

The first one is self explanatory, it removes all the water from the object placed on the runes. Separate Compound will break something apart, splitting all the materials. Take an iron ore for example, it would split the iron and impurities from each other. The success rate is low and if I mess up it wouldn’t work. Still working with purer ore already makes the quality of smithing goods much better.

Mix can be used to take several herbs and mix them into a paste. The result is a more evenly spread and well done mix though it needs mana to function and I need to be careful so it won’t mess up.

Refine is a really fun function that lets the alchemist turn the paste gained by mix into more concentrated compounds when several bundles of the paste are put together. In another method of refining, if you put a newly harvested herb in the slab and refine it you will get a small pile of powdered herbs that makes a good regient and easier to work with.

Finally synthesis is the lazy man's way of saying put all the ingredients here and let the system take control and let your skill level and mana levels deal with it. Not making fun of it since there are items you can only get through synthesis or magical fusion as is the proper term.

It is said someone can make synthetic pets like slimes through this if you get the right materials but it’s unknown what other creatures you can get from it.

As I finish my shopping I find a corner near the shopping squares where people sell goods but I put a ‘CLOSED’ sign and start refining all the healing herbs I had. Then I take the extraction powder which is what releases more of the healing enzymes and finally I get a single leaf from the magic herb.

In moments the healing herb turned into a small pile of powder on a small piece of paper that I have no idea how it appears. I take two sides and carefully pour the powder into a small beaker then the extraction powder follows. After that I start crushing and grinding the magic herb left in a mortar and pestle making a paste making sure to not leave a single bit of solid left.

Scooping the paste into the beaker I took a solution which is a blend of water with some chemicals and poured it into the beaker and put the beaker over a small magic burner that starts eating up my mana at 0.5 mp a second.

After 30 seconds the solution starts boiling and I add a very small bead to the mix that quickly dissolves. That little bead is what makes my potions popular. It was a flavor pellet I was able to make through drying a few scented herbs then synthesising it with dried fruit of the flavor I wanted. When mixed with a potion when it begins boiling it will change the flavor but not the chemical compound.

After the pellet vanishes the two powders were boiling in the solution and were mixing greatly turning it a bright vibrant red. After a while I remove it from the burner and check it.

Health Potion (Strawberry)

A common class health potion that was flavored to taste like ripe strawberries.

Heals 300 HP

Seeing the satisfying results I started to make lots more portions when I smelled something.

I turned to the side and saw someone that had lots of potions extended out and was mixing a cauldron that smelled of mana potion.

I watched him as he finishes and begins to ladle the potions into the potion vials making nearly 30 in one batch.

I almost facepalmed myself for not realizing I was doing things too slowly. This really needed to be experimented since I don’t know the proportion for it.

I got up and headed to my alchemist master who was from a really smelly shop in the slums but the quality of his goods was really good.

“Hi master!” I say getting in.

“Oh Florista, good you're here, can you help me with all these rabbit teeth.” He said.

“Where did you get these?” I asked him.

“Some odd ball came in here and sold me.” He said.

“Did you get a name? Someone that can bring so many has to have at least someone know him?” I asked.

“Nope, only quick trade. Hmm… I did get more or less his size and age I think. 170 maybe dark brown short hair looked in his thirties wore leather armor and a strange ass spear strapped to his back with a curved blade on one side and some strange wooden blunt head on the other.” He says.

“Droso!” I thought. “He seems strong, this man. Anyway, I need to know the proportion for making potions in a cauldron.” I asked him.

“Hehehe! So you noticed that little shitty burner works for nothing but personal needs. Yeah the proportion is this. The ingredients of one vial of potion and cut it in half. Do this for 30 vials then cook it like you normally would.” He explained.

“Wouldn’t that make it too weak then?” I asked.

“Come here.” He waved me over to the smallest cauldron he had. He separated 15 healing herbs and the correct amount of extraction powder and 15 magic herb leaves. He had one rune slab for each setting put to just the right setting so he wouldn’t need to change it.

He refined all the herbs and put them with the powder in the cauldron and began using a grind the leaves on a herb grinding wheel until it was paste and dropped it in.

“You flavor the thing with those pellets right?” He asked.

“Yeah, one for one normally.” I said.

“Then prepare 15 that you use for health potions.” He asked.

I took out the strawberry ones while he filled the caldron and moved it over onto the fire place. After 5 minutes it started to boil and I dropped the pellets in, which dissolved properly.

Soon the cauldron was boiling violently as it turned a very vibrant red. My master pulled the cauldon out and put it over on a table and filled a single vial of potion and handed it to me.

High Health Potion (Strawberry)

A greater class of health potion used by mercenaries and adventurers used for fighting high leveled monsters. The flavor makes it enjoyable to drink unlike the common bitter medicine like potions.

Heals 600 HP

It was a class higher than my own.

“I’m sure you saw people making the potion by cauldron but that was only the normal potion you can make now. To get that type you need 10 herbs while for a beginner you use 5 simple as that. Or you can go diluting a potion like this making five of the potions one rank down.” He explained.

In short 1 high potion can become 5 potions or 25 lesser potions. He suggests for mass production I should make high potions and dilute it since the cauldron that travelling alchemists use is normally the smallest one he used which makes 30 veils of potion.

I was able to get one from him and I thanked him for the recipe for the high potion as well.

“Making lots of these will seriously boost your alchemy level which is already level 6.” master said

Running off to the spot near the wall where I ate with Droso when we met those policemen, I set up the fire letting it burn a bit and grow while I prepare the materials. Then when the fire was strong I spread the wood out to spread the fire. I added some fresh dry wood over the already burning logs to keep it going.

I then put all the ingredients in the cauldron and after making a tripod support with some long logs I put the caldron suspended over the fire and added the solution and waited for it to boil.

When I did I dropped the peach flavored pellets inside and then mixed it while it boiled more violently becoming a vibrant red.

When I felt it was okay I removed it from the fire and laid it on the ground where I filled the veils I had with ⅕ of the way up as my master had said and added the solution used for mixing potions and shook it.

When I looked it was the duller red and the effects dropped by half making a regular hp potion with peach flavor.

I go on making 150 hp potions.

This speed was amazing and I gained a level from one caldron of hp potions.

With one of these I can repay Droso. Let’s get this done quick. I said as I rapidly made a batch of mp potion.

Droso PoV

It was boring to work during the day away from my lab since I don’t have the resources to properly do anything so I could only read and make notes.

Finally I had enough and went to eat and jumped on my bed and entered VLO again.

I felt my mind get muddled and groggy as I woke up.

For getting a good rest you feel more invigorated.

HP, MP and Stamina regeneration has been increased for the next 2 hours.

As I saw that message I moved my left arm to swipe it but felt someone’s arm holding it.

When I looked down I saw Levi snuggling into my arm and drooling over it with a goofy grin on her face that was really cute.

I was worried though, this isn’t something I can allow to repeat since, later on, when I sleep in the hive I don’t want to worry about this girl doing ‘other’ things to me after she grows up.

Thankfully she was using my left arm as a huggy and not my right arm like a pillow.

I carefully take my arm from her grasp and put on my armor back on and leave the room.

Walking to the portal entrance I peek out in all directions and quickly open the portal and exit. Instantly I feel the pang of mental exhaustion from mana depletion. I felt like I had run a marathon and looking at my stats I saw that I didn’t have enough mana to use the portal and ended up using stamina in its place. I watched as the stamina recharged but the satiety showed I was hungry.

“Should look for a place to cook.” I mutter and look at the minimap and spot Flor who was marked as a green dot since ppl on the friends list appear when you're near.

She was in the place I had cooked for her that one time.

[Hey Debby, busy?] I called her.

[Yep, but it’s a good kind. I found out how to mass produce potions and now I have enough to repay you. Find me on the minimap and come over!] She says excited.

So walking with a bit of a sluggish step I went to the spot she was at.

What I find is here and around here were a few hundred veils of mana potion. Looking at the sheer amount was astounding.

“Amazing right, I found that using a cauldron to make high potions then diluting them can make a lot of them. It's really efficient for mass producing quality potions.” She says.

“So you have potions for me?” I asked.

A trade window appeared and 200 mp potions were placed inside and transferred.

I instantly downed one feeling my head clear up but then the mana started draining like there was a hole in my mana pool.

“Show progress of magic crystal integration.” I said curious to see if it worked.

Fire: 100%, Water: 45%, Earth: 22%, Wind: 34%, Lightning: 100%, Dark: 100%,

Light 69%

“Wow, it worked. Well that good, lightning seems to have integrated completely.” I say.

I sit down on the ground and pull out some dried meat and start to eat it. This was the salted and dried rabbit meat from those that were dried in the hive.

I filled up my satiety bar and thirst.

When I was almost out of mana I would drink another potion and wait it out. With so many potions I just rest until the mana is almost gone and then drink another one.

After an hour of this it finally appeared.

All magic crystals have been integrated into the hive.

Because of the magic crystals integration you have gained new habits.

Ice Cave, Heat Cavern, Canyon, Desert, Holy Land

Through the integration of magic crystals several habits have developed and transformed.

Dark forest has become Forest of the Night

Misty Lake has become The Great Swamp

Forest has become Rainforest

Electric Cove has become Lightning Cavern.

Through the presence of Magic crystals the wilderness zone will now have a chance to birth elemental type monster and magical beings of all magic crystals available.

Mana density in the Hive has increased and has increased your mana capacity by 10%.

Seeing the sudden changes to my hive not to mention the sudden massive increase in mana I was happy. I did wonder though, Canyon, Desert and Holy Land don’t feel like habits and instead like terrains.

Could they be different locations in the Wilderness zone.

Well for now that is over.

I drink one last potion and finally I’m done with this annoying thing.

“Finally done!” I exclaim.

“Oh, done integrating the magic crystals. Congrats.” Flor says.

“Yeah, it was so peaceful this short break of doing nothing but drinking mana potions.” I said with a sigh.

…

“Why is it so peaceful? That annoyance had so many chances and so much time to come up to us?” I asked.

Flor started laughing and holding her sides for a while.

When she had calmed down enough she started to explain.

“I ran him out of town. When I exited the hive he was there and was kicked by the drone maid before I left. Then I walked quickly and reached the edge of the alleyway when he caught up. Then I staged a scene of a beggar kidnapping a helpless Traveller.” She said with a devilish grin on her face.

I burst out laughing at the mere thought of what this demonic woman did. I imagined his face as that happened. He did look like a beggar and dressed like one, not only that his old rouged face also helped to give him that image. With a good performance from her the effect was amplified to the point of having to flee the town. I wish I was up to see that.

Debby said she would edit a 3rd person view of the event for me and post it on the net for the world to see.

This would also help to fuck with that idiot and make his life much worse for trying to be an ass like he was.

Happy with the news I bought another 200 HP and MP potions from Flor and said my goodbye. I was going to go into the forest to start breeding my bugs all into tier 3.
