《Unleash the beast》Chapter 2: New home, new neighbors

Hello readers!
I read your comments and I wanted to say, don't worry. From here on the pace will slow down.
I will still try my best, but if I do still manage to screw something up. Slap me across the face and tell me to fix it!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before bounding into the forest like a madman, or mad-wolf. I walked into my blood splattered cave that looked like something out of a horror film.
When I got inside I realised something, the blood was still wet.
That meant that whatever killed my new family, was still near here. I decided to speed things up a little.
I looked at the walls of the cave, there was one long gash across the wall, an animal would have trouble making that. It almost looked like a sword mark.
Then, to confirm my suspicions. I closed my eyes and blocked off all sound and sniffed the air, I needed to block out all unnecessary senses to boost my sense of smell.
-------------------------------------------------------
Locked onto the trail of traveller
SwordSlasher[Raging Dragon]
Direction, North South
------------------------------------------------------
Traveller was what us npc's called players, and it seems that Raging Dragon is the name of their guild. This will do for know, if he has the power to kill my mother who is still stronger than me than I won't last 5 seconds.
I take one last look at my dead family, to imprint it into my memory. Then I walked out if the cave, across the planes, grabbing my dead rabbit friend. And into the forest.
As soon as I got into the forest i heightened my senses so that no predators could sneak up on me. The first thing that I am going to need to survive in this forest, is a den.
Fortunately there were other creatures that like to build dens, like my lunch that I'm dragging along the floor with me.
I sniff the air, and lock on to the smell of several rabbits, then I walk over to the source of the smell. Dragging my lunch with me.
Once I am about what feels like 10 feet away I drop my lunch, and slowly crawl over to the source. When I reach it I see a den. This den is smaller than my last den, especially the entrance which. Could only just crawl through.

But I could fix that with a bit of renovation.
When I get in the den, I see a simple hollowed out cave. There are no tunnels, just a large empty space. Apart from the 3 shivering rabbits I front of me, I look it them.
And then I pounce, and close my jacks around one fluffy rabbits neck while pushing down the other two with my paws. I quickly kill each of them, then sit up and admire my work.
Next I drag the corpse of the alpha rabbit in here and feast on my prey. They tasted fabulous.
Then I slept, hoping that my rib age would recover from the alpha rabbits brutal blows. And also thinking about the 3 strength points I got from dragging the alpha rabbits fat ass all the way here.
Life was looking up.
the next day
When I woke up I thought something
'Why does the cave look smaller'
I got up and tried to force myself through the small opening to my den, when I finally got through I saw that I was around the size of my mother, maybe slightly larger.
Around 90-95cm when on all fours.
Also, my ribs were completely healed, seems that I have quite a handy regeneration ability. Well next thing on the list is to find a lake or something. Because I want to see my glorious reflection.
Once I sniffed out the smell of fresh water, which smells like there is a lot of moisture in the air. I bounded over to it.
Once I arrived I got down to make sure there were no predators. All I saw were a few deer and rabbits, good.
I walked over to the water, scaring the shit out of a few rabbits. And saw my fabulous self.
After admiring myself for a while, I decided to go and hunt. But no rabbits today, today my prey were the deers with the really sharp looking antlers.
I looked around the lake and eventually spotted a solitary deer, I crept around the lake until I reached it. Soon I could make out the name tag on its head.
Red deer lvl 5 *
Once I was close enough I leaped at the deer, burying my claws into its body and clamping my jaws around the back of its neck. Using my momentum to throw us both to the ground.

Luckily I was on top, so I started tearing chunks off the deer using my sharp claws. After a while it stopped struggling, so I started to feast. It was quite an easy kill, I wished all my kills were like this. But I knew they wouldn't be.

Once I had finished my grisly meal I looked for my next target.
I repeated this process on another 5 deer, gaining another level.
Once I had finished feasting on my 5th deer I decided to try my luck at some larger prey.
As I was tracking down a strange smell of some creature, I thought to myself at how I never seem to get full, but I never feel hungry unless I haven't eaten for a prolonged amount of time. A very handy ability.
Eventually I reached the source of the strange smell and I saw three classic rpg monsters, Goblins. However, one goblin was larger than the other two looked more menacing.
The two goblins were bare handed while the larger goblin held a Flint knife, their name tags read.

I decided that these goblins would serve as my prey, so I did the thing that any real man would in such a situation.
I threw myself at the nearest goblin and bit his head off. His surprise was still rendered on his bodiless face as it was bit off. The nearest goblin was quick to react and threw a clumsy punch my way.
I batted the punch aside with a paw then I raked my claws down his arm and tore his head off with a wet crunch using my powerful jaws.
Now the only one left was the muscular hobgoblin. He looked at me wearily, then abandoned all ideas of a plan like a true hobgoblin and ran my way screaming.
I ran at him too and we met halfway, he swung his knife at my face which using my instinctual reflexes, caught in my mouth. I then pushed him down with my claws. He started desperately beating me with his powerful fists. Each blow giving off a dull thud.
I then proceeded to tear chunks off his body with my claws until I reached bone, ignoring my protesting body that was being battered with his fists, then using one final push I crushed his heart. It was quite a bloody battle, but that's what happens when two beasts fight to the death I suppose.
I rolled off the hobgoblin and decided to rest for a minute, trying to ignore all the pop up windows in my vision.

some time later
When I woke up I immediately cursed myself for falling asleep in the open. It was a miracle I wasn't killed while resting, then I saw a pop up window that had still remained. Strange I thought, and I read it. My confusion slowly turning into excitement.

Congratulations, you have gained the necessary experience to evolve
You can currently choose two evolution paths:
Path one: Shadow Wolf (rare)
The shadow wolf uses shadows to his advantage to trick its foes with illusions.
This shadow fiend is the epitome of fear and darkness and strikes terror into the hearts of thousands.
Wielding its shadows this wolf is a fearsome foe.
Unfortunately the shadow wolf does not gain many physical upgrades.
Path two: Steel Wolf (rare)
Unlike the usual evolution path, the iron wolf. The steel wolf is even stronger with its claws and fangs being as hard and as sharp as steel swords. The fur of the steel wolf also acts like an armour, blocking out even the sharpest of blades.
This big bad wolf is the last thing you want to run into while visiting your grandmother.
Unfortunately the steel wolf can not use magic.
-------------------------------------------------------
Well the choice is pretty freaking obvious!
I say with confidence evident in my voice.
"I choose pathway....."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tell me in the comments wha pt you think he should pick!
Although that probably won't change my decision, I just want to see what you would all pick!
Btw sorry if the story is feeling a bit rushed, I needed him to get stronger and fast for the dangerous creatures of the forest, like bears.....
Also don't worry, I will show you his stats in the next chapter, after his evolution, he also might gain a few new stats...

Art of Mortality
New Synopsis after chapter 56: Long long ago, there was a mortal who despised the gods and envied the immortals. Why do the mortals have to die when the gods wish them to? Why do worlds have to perish when the gods say so? Why do only immortals get to live forever, why not mortals like him? As his family, friends, and his loved one died, he lamented. He wailed, he cried. He cursed the immortals, blasphemed the gods, spat at the heavens. But he was just a mere mortal. His curses were pointless, his blasphemous words were useless, and his spits only returned back to fall on his face. At last, he thought, enough was enough, he would definitely do something about it. He decided that it was time for the multiverse to know what a mortal can do. He was the first mortal to cultivate. Eventually, after a long struggle, he killed the Immortals, enslaved the Gods, and shattered the heavens. He reshaped the multiverse and rewrote his fate. In the end, he reincarnated as he decided upon a grand scheme, a scheme to rule 'All and Always'. He came up with the concept of what is known today as 'Paragon'. And with this, all of reality, 'All and Always', was finally reforming, according to a Mortal's Wish. Synopsis (Old): In the vast and complex multiverse, what can a mortal accomplish? In the grand scheme of things, what can a mortal change? In truth, what is a mortal, and what is mortality? Being mortal is being ordinary, the same as being trash, or so says The World. "No, mortality is an art, and a true mortal is a grand artist. Being the root of all, a mortal can become anything.", says a young mortal boy. Meet Edward Alexander, a mortal boy walking the path against gods and immortals, fighting to the end to rewrite his destiny, and change the grand scheme of things. Can he really change the grand scheme of things? Or maybe he himself is the Grand Schemer? To know the answer, follow Edward Alexnder on his journey to demonstrate the Art of Mortality.*******

New chapter every other day Iain Compton never planned to be abducted by an alien spaceship. It just… happened. His plan is to find a way home to Earth, even if its unlikely to be remotely the same; to find a better class of companions among an often strange and inexplicable galactic community, at least one who won’t use him or sell him out at the first opportunity; and to do something about the parasites in his brain who are supposed to connect him to a library the size of the galaxy, but seem to only be telling him that almost everyone and everything he comes across wants to kill him. But at least he can still send tweets.
