《Unleash the beast》Chapter 1: First kill

"The noble wolf eh? Good choice, if you said something like a hamster I would have killed you on the spot."
I gulped at how close to death I had just been. Wait, were even am I?
"Son, you are currently in the astral plane, were we gods like to lurk."
Wait, gods! Holy guacamole! Should I offer him my first born or something? Wait I don't even have a first born!
"Don't worry son, you don't have to offer me anything, apart from your soul."
This God can read my mind huh? Well that's kinda invading my privacy to the highest degree, there are some thoughts never meant for others to see...
"Haha! You are amusing human, you do not shake your knees and soil your pants in my presence. A strong spirit indeed!"
In your presence? I can't even see you, or even me for that matter. All around is just complete and total darkness. However, I don't find it frightening for some reason.
"Well anyway, let's get this show on the road. I wanna see you have cool adventures and stuff."
What?
"I'm going to give it to you straight, we gods are bored. Especially me, THE MIGHTY THANATOS! I am the god of beasts and battle, I would show you my true from but your spiritual head would literally explode."
"Well in that case, please keep your body hidden."
"So he can speak"
"Yes, and could you please get this going. Mr God Thanatos sir."
"Very well mortal, in your realm there exists what you call a 'virtual reality game' right?"
"Mhm"
"Well, your 'game' is not a game at all. You humans create a new realm without even realising it, as well as a way to cross over into that realm, albeit partially."
"So us gods will send you into this world so that you can adventure and give us gods some entertainment."
"So why me."
"You were the first human I saw"
"That's it?"
"That's it."
"Okay, what else?"
"That's pretty much it, good luck in your adventures, mortal!"
"WAI-"
Then I felt a yanking motion, and it felt like I was in a fighter jet except it was going about 4 times as fast. Which is really fucking fast.
Then it stopped and I felt like I was in some liquid substance, I was surrounded by weird squishy walls, along with some other objects.

I tried to move, however over movement was extremely taxing, so soon I felt sleepy. I decided to take a quick nap and then survey my surroundings.
*some time later
I woke up to a feeling as if the walls were squishing me, then I realised they were pushing me. I tried to squirm my way into the direction it was pushing me.
Soon I felt myself pass through some opening and then I was in what i remembered felt like fresh air. Then I felt something large move me and press something onto my mouth, wait. My mouth felt strange, kinda broken but yet it felt natural. Same with my spine and limbs.
I ignored these feelings and drank.
After my meal I felt sleepy, so I slept.
*1 day later
When I woke up I opened my eyes for the first time. At first the light stung my eyes, but it wore off after a while. Once I could see clearly I looked at what I was leaning against.
I saw a gigantic wolf! It was huge, I scared at first. But the wolf felt safe, almost like a mother.
Then I looked at myself and what a saw were for legs, dog legs. And a tail, a dog tail. Then i remembered what the God said.
*"what is your favourite animal?"*
So I guess he turned me into a wolf, I didn't really mind. Because I really did like wolfs, they were awesome creatures.
I awkwardly crawled away from who I presumed was my mother, then I tried to awkwardly stand up. Trying to manoeuvre my four limbs at once was like trying to write your name with both your hands at the same time, difficult.
Eventually I managed to get on all fours in a spread stance with my legs, I then tried to walk, or trot I guess. I awkwardly put one leg i front of the other to move around in a small circle, I fell over a few times but eventually I got the hang of it. Then while I was still practicing walking.

Strength has risen by 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This surprised me so much I fell over, then I remembered that the God had put me indies the new game 'Ragnarok' so I guess the game mechanics still affected me. Even though I was a monster npc.
"Grrrrrr"
I heard a low growl, I looked at the sour pace and saw my mother. She was still lying on her side with my 2 other siblings lying next to her, I understood instinctively and had my feed. Once I finished I decided to try something, I thought really hard in my head 'open status'

Name: Fenrir Race: Wolf pup
Level: 1. Titles: none
Strength: 6. Agility: 5
Wisdom: 3. Intelligence: 3
Stamina: 6
Magic affinities: darkness 100%
---------------------------------
My stats looked pretty pathetic, apart from my magic affinity which looks pretty good. For now I will train my body to raise my strength and agility, I will inquire about the other things later.
This procedure of being fed by my mother either by her milk or dead bunnies she brought us repeated itself for a few days.
2 days later
I don't know if it came with age but we could now understand our mother, albeit only basically. We could understand orders like 'eat food' or 'sleep now', it was a pretty primitive way of sleeping. My strength had also risen by another 7 points and my agility by 6.
I could now jump, walk and even sprint around the forest plane that was our home, we lived in a clearing next to a dense forest. Our mother told us never to go into the forest as it was a dangerous place full of deadly beasts.
Today mother told me to go hunt my first rabbit, I was exited as it would serve to show me how used to this new body I am.
I leave our cave and venture out into the grassy planes, I sniff the air with my heightened sense of smell. Once I caught wind of a rabbit I bolted towards it, I ran for about 5 minutes while going so fast that the grass whips past my face only as a blur.
I slow down as a sense myself reaching my target.
I lower myself to the ground so that the long grass covers my whole body, I slowly inch closer. Ready to pounce at a moments notice, then I reach a small clearing were 3 rabbits were grazing.
Two of the rabbits have a name tag above their heads, indicating that they were both lvl 2 rabbits. But one caught my attention, he was the one closest to me.
Me was larger than the other rabbits by a margin, being almost as big as me! And I was around half the size of my mother already! The name tag read 'lvl 4 alpha rabbit"
So this guy is like the rabbit king huh? He will do nicely as a gift to my mother.
I launch my self at him, jumping about 4 feet, i clamp my teeth around the back of his neck the second I reach him, sending us both sprawling.
I misjudged the toughness of his fur, while my teeth were sinking into his skin I can't get to the spine, so instead i savagely claw him with all 4 of my legs, the rabbit gets up and desperately throws itself with a powerful jump into the a nearby tree back first.
I get the wind knocked out of me as I get crushed against a tree and accidentally lose hold of him, I sprawl to the ground a quickly get up, only get receive a brutal kick to my ribs.
I fly about 6 feet and feel one or more of my ribs break, I growl and despite the pain, get back onto my feet.
The rabbit and I glare at each other, daring one another to make the first move. I decide to take the dare.
I bound over to him and he throws himself at me too, preparing to deliver a power side kick. Just as its about to hit me I only just jump over the outstretched foot and clamp my teeth around his open neck.
I feel a crunch and the rabbit dies immediately.

Lvl gained
Lvl gained
------------------------------------------------
I felt relieved that the fight was over, and also a little sad that it was over already. I looked around to make sure the surroundings were clear, which they were.
Then I grabbed the rabbit in my mouth a started dragging it back to our den, despite the pain from my screaming rib cage.
*a few hours later
When I arrived at our den a grisly site was before me.
My mother lay dead, covered in her own blood and littered with cuts.
My siblings lay dead beside her, I felt a lot of sadness in my heart, because despite only knowing her for a short time, she was still my mother.
And I felt a lot of anger in my heart, and I vowed to find and kill the people that did this!
However for now, whatever killed them is still out here, so I head into the once place where I could hide and get stronger for now.
The forest.

Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel (An Irreverent Fanfiction)
Fates Parallel is a gripping cultivation story, following the adventures of a half-spirit girl with nothing as she grows both as a cultivator and as a person after arriving at the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial and Arcane Arts. It features fleshed-out, believable characters, wonderful world-building that informs the course of the plot, and girls who hold hands. Fates Parallel is a very good story, and you should read it! Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek look at this same world from a different angle, following a totally regular girl who brings bad luck with her wherever she goes. It features shallow, joke-name characters, a focus on the least interesting parts of a fantastic world, and girls who hold hands (potentially). Jingyi Bo is in Fates Parallel is an amazingly hilarious (so says me) fanfiction and you should read it! (This is a Totally Author Approved Spin-Off (Fanfiction) for Fates Parallel, which you can find in a number of places including here on RoyalRoad! Please do read it!)

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
