Ting- Diligent and steady work during the Epidemic pays off.

As I sat there I was slightly offended by the message. I assumed I worked much harder than that; even my proficiency in the skills didn’t rise during that 1 month of Epidemic. Guess I'll have to work harder now.

Fricks and Tio where now able to pull that cart by themselves and so I started to carry the stones using that special backpack which at most could carry 4 rocks. Instead of focusing on the quantity I focused on my speed to transport these stones.
Vionia was now moving one big stone using a wheelbarrow she constructed and could barely move. I encouraged her every time I passed by. It seems she was growing faster than me was in the beginning of her journey.
I decided to train up my strength and speed rather than other things so I didn't use the other wheelbarrow that she made.
The other thing that changed was our sleeping habits. We would now work for a full week without stop and would only sleep once all together. Since her Catapult now supported a clock mechanism we would all be tossed into the lake after sleeping for 12 hours.
It was surprising that it tossed us quite a fair distance. She continued to improve the catapults range so that it could reach the city from the quarry. As three months went by she completed the newly innovated catapult.
The first attempts to launch the stone bricks to town ended up in it being destroyed upon impact.
After a day of practice, Vionia said she couldn't make the catapult hit the same target at such a distance without further developing the catapult. So this time around I stayed at the city and was trying to catch the stones so that they didn’t break.

I was able to catch one after a few tries and noticed I had to use the Phantom Running skill in order to catch them without the stone crushing me into the ground, creating a crater while shattering the stones.
With Vionia’s support we were able to understand the physics and redirect the momentum of the stone in our favor when I was catching them using my Phantom Running skill.
Phantom Running was the answer. Since Phantom Running would slightly protect the stone and me from the physical forces therefore not breaking the stones and making the landing much smoother without creating a crater.
As the stones rained down from the sky, it became harder and harder to keep sight of them since it was getting dark. She stopped the rain of stones from the quarry for about an hour.
All of a sudden the entire sky lit up as if broad daylight. What I saw was flying stones lightly on fire. When I caught them now they really were burning. Some crude black stuff was smudged on them. As I receive barely any damage since my regeneration rate was greater than the damage taken I didn't mind the fire.
Stacking the entire night our transfer rate increased. What I was now looking at was a stockpile of nearly 20-meter long, that was now on fire. Even though the fire was dying out it helped me see better and seemed not to harm the stones. It was a totally win-win situation.

- Mana and stamina consumption rate reduced by 5 points.

Ting- STR, AGI, Vitality and DEX all increased by 10.
In one night, I leveled faster than ever before. I wondered why. Perhaps it’ was the use of Phantom Running. It became as if it was ordinary running for me, without doubting myself, who knows though!

After another pause of falling stones what I noticed then. Frick’s and Tio came running at full speed without the wagon. I didn't like the look of that. Before I could say anything they ran past me and started to dig near the area where the tower would be build. It was already marked with rope.
After that I realized that the newly flying stones were faster and much more frequent. I don't know how she was loading them so fast all I could tell is they increased in speed and quantity. It was around 60 stones an hour. If you tell me it quadrupled in quantity.
I could really not keep up with the flow and some even smashed upon impact with the ground.
How was all this possible I kept thinking and then realized she must of used the wagon to create something even more superb.

Around every 80-100 stones I leveled up my skill in Phantom Running... I even yelled at Tio to go tell her to stop since I was low on Mana.
I even changed the setting to notify me of skill level ups every 5 levels since it got annoying; likewise with stats to only notify me when the stats accumulated increased by 100.
Once they stopped I really wanted to see what was going on. How was all this possible. To cause a rain of stones whose flights time itself was around 2 minutes through the sky from quarry. The quarry was a little far, but with the catapults trajectory it made the stones fly high before coming down causing the flight time to last 2 minutes.
Within 5 minutes of running I was at the quarry looking at the strange catapult with a conveyor belt that brought in the rocks at a steady pace and launched them automatically. All she had to do was place a stone from the pile on the conveyor system which was only a meter away from the quarry stockpile.
“What’s your aim?” I asked her.
She muttered “100 per minute.” Currently we are tossing roughly 1.5 stones per minute.
I was shocked when I heard 100 per minute. It meant more running for me.
Kapammmm. She pushed me in to the net.
Swazooooom bish. I was sent flying, hearing her faint voice in the air.

“Stop slacking and get back to work!”
In 2 minutes I was using Phantom Running to avoid from crashing.
Unfortunately, my descent was too fast so I crashed making a small creator.
Right after getting my bearings, the stones that were right on my tail started falling. So I started catching them once again.
One week later………
Ting- STR, AGI, Vitality and DEX all increased by 100.

In just one weeks time I was now catching 2 stones per minute, 120 stones in an hour.
We have been able to catch up to half the months’ work that was supposed to be done last month.

Amir: A Short Horror Story
"My throat became dry; my tongue felt like sandpaper scraping against the top of my mouth. My mind became fuzzy. I had no chance of survival against this, this thing, and It was toying with me. It seemed to see the fear in my eyes and laughed, the metal sounding voice screeching like nails on a chalkboard. " I wrote this when I was young, and I haven't touched it since 2019, so don't worry about it.
