The scarred leader appears before a handsome dark-haired man in a perfectly dark tailored suit with violet pocket handkerchief fashionably added for a touch of color. The attractive man’s black-gray’s eyes scan the scarred man’s face as he bows his head towards him. “Well, I am waiting,” Sūn Lì flatly stated.

“Sir Sūn, we have not been able to find the target. We can only conclude someone is hiding him, sir,” the scarred man tactfully said.

Sūn Lì almost breaks the table in front of him in fury but controls himself. “Then find out, who would dare hide him. Who was in the area that night? I want every single person that passed through that area to be all accounted for!” Sūn Lì demanded.

“Yes, sir, it shall be done!” The scarred man vehemently said, before bowing his way out the door.

Narrowing his eyes, Sūn Lì glances at the city scenery before him. No matter, what it took he could not have that bastard returning! However, the thought does cross his mind that mysterious cultivator incident might be related to Ye Ming. Shaking off such thoughts, Sūn Lì adjusts his collar one last time, before turning on his heels and going out the door. There is an important party to get to and he could not afford to be late.

At the party, a gorgeous young woman with silky black hair and big doe eyes sips from her drink. Her lovely aura is dazzling causing everyone eye’s to be attracted to her. Her fair skin is flawless without a blemish as her white dress and heels that make her look that much more like a fairy then she already is. More than a few men surrounded her as they try to gain the beauty’s attention or merely converse with her.

Sūn Lì silently approaches the breathtaking beauty from behind before gently planting a kiss on her neck as he glares at the men surrounding her in warning. The men instantly disperse as they apologize for their impertinence and flee to other parts of the ballroom. The young woman stiffens and turns to stare up at him with cold eyes. “Why did you kill him? He posed no threat to you!” Wú Fang unhappily declared.

Sūn Lì smiles at his fiancé and replies, “Then you shouldn’t have been playing around with him. After all, you were only toying with the poor boy, whereas I destroyed him because both of our family’s allies were demanding it. He was becoming too much of a liability, but I don’t suppose you realized that because you were having too much fun.”

Wú Fang raises her hand to slap him, but Sūn Lì easily catches her fair wrist. “Not in public dear, remember, where we are,” Sūn Lì softly chided Wú Fang.

Wú Fang roughly pulls her arm out his grasp and glares up at Sūn Lì. “I hate you,” Wú Fang boldly hissed.

Sūn Lì smiles winsomely and pulls her roughly towards him as he places a forceful kiss onto Wú Fang’s lips. Wú Fang struggles but Sūn Lì expertly coaxes her lips until Wú Fang ceases to struggle. Panting and breathless, Wú Fang pulls back as her cheeks are rosy with something more than embarrassment.

Sūn Lì confidently smiles at his fiancé and says, “Yes, it would seem you enjoyed that very much. I must say, I am looking forward to consummating our union on our wedding night.”

Wú Fang blushes in anger and turns away stiffly as Sūn Lì teasingly pulls her into his arms as a group of figures approach. Sūn Lì gracefully whispers into Wú Fang’s ear, “Now, now, dear, remember to act your part.”

Wú Fang smiles charmingly as she glances up at the important men approaching her as Sūn Lì nods his head in approval. A beauty, who understood her place was rare. However, it was such a shame she had a wild streak. But no worries, he would have plenty of time to seduce her and tame her until she was what he wished her to be.

And with a smile on his lips Sūn Lì turns to greet them, all the while plotting and planning to gain an added advantage from this meeting. Though at the edge of his mind, Sūn Lì makes the careful note to take forget to permanently take care of that bastard. If Ye Ming wasn’t dead, he would soon be.
