"Huiling, why do you keep staring at your husband like that, is everything ok?" Liu Dongmei asked her elder sister as soon as she noticed her facial expression.

She has been watching Liu Huiling for a while now, so she approached her immediately.

"Nothing," Liu Huiling replied in a neutral voice.

Seeing that it was not the right time and place to confront her sister, Liu Dongmei said to her with a smile, "Then stop staring at your husband in that manner, people are watching. After the party, you guys can sort things out."

'There is absolutely nothing to sort out,' Liu Huiling said to herself but nodded at her sister's suggestion.

She looked around and saw that some people's eyes were on her, so she concluded that she really needed to keep her emotions in check, as it was not the right place to do it.

'Huiling you can do this,' she said to herself in encouragement.

Meanwhile, Liu Huiling's husband just sat at a place and didn't bother to mingle with other family members.

From his actions and facial expressions, it was very easy for anyone to tell that he was not in a good mood.

Liu Dongmei saw his looks, and so walked to him with a glass of champagne.

She smiled and said, while handing the glass of wine to him, "Brother-in-law, here, have a drink."

Liu Huiling's husband gave her a polite smile before taking the champagne glass from her.

Then, he swirled the content of the glass a little before downing the whole thing at once.

Liu Dongmei smiled and asked a servant to get another glass for him.

"Brother-in-law, you shouldn't be sitting here like this. If you become bored chatting with people, you can order anything you want," Liu Dongmei said to him politely.

She has never been close to this brother-in-law of hers, as they didn't meet often.

She doesn't also meet the Liu family often because of her location, and everybody was busy with their respective jobs.

Liu Huiling's husband nodded with a distant smile as he watched her walk away.

Both he and his wife Liu Huiling didn't bother to spare each other a glance.

Deep down Liu Huiling's heart, she felt her heart hurt as she was beyond angry.

If the resentment she was feeling in her heart had battery life, then its bar remained only one (1).

She was indeed beyond angry. Her husband was supposed to be with Liu Longwei and his friends, and mingling with them.

But here he was at the Liu Mansion, keeping a face as if someone owed him millions of dollars.

Just take a look, Liu Dongmei's husband, Mu Boqin, was nowhere to be seen around the Liu Mansion.

Reason: Because he was mingling with Liu Longwei and the rest of their friends.

But here her own husband was, embarrassing her.

Liu Huiling made up her mind not to say anything to him again because she might just erupt if she tried to talk to him.

"Mom! What are you thinking about? We have been calling you for a while now!" Cherry said she asked in a frown while Little Apple pulled her clothes gently.

Liu Huiling stared at her two beautiful daughters in surprise as she didn't know when they appeared by her side since she was lost in thought.

"Cherry, what is it?" Liu Huiling asked her eldest daughter in a soft voice while bringing the two girls to her arms.

"We want to see our wedding outfits!" Said Cherry cheerfully.

The little girls were very eager to see their wedding outfits since they had roles to play on that day.

"No, Cherry, you can't see the dress now! You will see them tomorrow," Liu Huiling said in refusal.

She knew that just seeing the dress won't end there, but will develop to another thing. So she didn't want to take chances.

Cherry and her younger sister, little apple had their faces scrunched up in a frown. And little apple looked like she would cry any minute from then.

"Do not even cry!" Liu Huiling scolded her little daughter, and the little girl became sad as drops of tears rolled down her smooth cheeks.

Little apple was crying without making noise.

"What is going on here?" Liu Dongmei asked in surprise as she approached her sister with her daughter, Anna, following behind her.

Liu Huiling immediately explained to her what happened, and she laughed it off before saying.

"That's the same reason that Anna has been following me around. Just now, a servant brought her to me while saying that Anna had been throwing a tantrum because she wanted to see the dress. Let's allow them to see their dresses, there are little children, and are curious. And so, want to see their dresses. If they want to see their dresses, allow them, there is no harm in that."

Liu Huiling listened to her sister before telling the little girls, "I will allow you to see your dresses, but only on one condition. That is you will see your dresses at a distance and nothing more."

The three little girls nodded their heads obediently before following after their different nannies to see their dresses. The three little girls left happily.

After the three little pretty girls left, their mothers sighed in relief before they continue to entertain the guests.

The same way their family was busy with entertaining their guests, was the same way the Chen family were entertaining their guests.

Most members of the Chen family were present today. So Lady Chen and the immediate Chen family had to entertain their guests.

Aunt Lin's (Chen Lin) ex was present as well.

He pleaded with Chen Lin to invite him.

Since the day he met up with Chen Lin, he has been away from home.

Another reason for him to be away from home since that day was because he hadn't known peace since that day.

After he came home that day, he met his crying wife and his angry mother.

From their looks and actions, he could tell that his wife had already complained about him to his mother. And that was what caused her displeasure. He didn't need to be told for him to know, he could see it all on their faces.
