《A Mouse's Grand System》Learning More About The System

The Father and Son Pair quickly got to work. Axel quickly got a large wood plank to conduct some strange kind of ritual on while the Father seemed to stare at Arvion with a look that sent shivers down his spine. There seemed to be a strange chill in the air as the sun began to set as the sound of an ax swinging outside could be heard clearly from inside.
"Come on there is obviously a way we can work this out right?! We don't really have to go through with this slave contract of a familiar contract." Arvion squeaked to no avail as the man could not understand him.
Over the few hours of Axel preparing the wooden board, Arvion decided to practice his magic while he could. He sent outwards a strand of shadow magic trying to get rid of the green strings but they would attack back quickly destroying his dark strands. After nearly 60 attempts Axel had come back with an adequately sized board that ranged nearly 5 feet by 5 feet in size. Arvion focused in anger as he squeaked in determination, determined not to get in whatever a familiar contract entailed.
"FInally a level up!" Arvion squeaked out loud with no fear of being found out. "System, bring up my skill sheet!"

"Hmm... Which skill should I level up? I should be able to upgrade any skill other than Elementary Shadow Magic Affinity which costs 10 if I remember correctly." Arvion thought out loud. "Why not Mana Manipulation. It seems to be my strongest skill right now."

"System upgrade Mana Manipulation LV: 1 !" Squeaked Arvion.

Mana Manipulation LV: 2
This allows the user to control magical elements to a small degree causing minor effects that could be counted as minor magical spells. Control over the elements is measured by mana manipulation level multiplied by the user's intelligence. The current level of control: 30. The current level is insufficient to unlock a new spell slot.
Please experiment to your heart's content.
Upgrade price: 10 evolution points.

'Alrighty. Finally, I have upgraded something. It seems as if when my control reaches a level I may be able to gain a new type of skill slot called a spell slot. It's an interesting thought.'
"Alright, Father the inscriptions have been finished," Axel said which perked Arvion out of his stupor of checking through his skills.
"Good Job Axel. Now I shall bring the mouse to the center." The old man said before gently using the green strings to puppet Arvions body towards the center of the board which was now filled with intricate carvings and letters in a language unknown to Arvion.
After Arvion stepped foot into the center of the diagram, unwillingly, of course, something magical happened. Arvion found himself locked in place and put under a large amount of pressure. It felt as if the heavens had collapsed and he was bearing its sole weight on his shoulders. It was a feeling of pain and agony. Arvion screeched in pain only to be alerted by the system of something.
The bindings that had held down Arvion were lifted in a moment and he felt completely free. Another system notification was issued shortly after, but Arvion focused more on what was going on with Axel and the old man.
" Place a drop of your blood on his forehead and recite the words. " The old man said gently. And what followed was a quick drop of blood before Arvion could react. It landed squarely on Arvions white fur on his face to be exactly.

"Serk Proliance, Serk Recovrere, Bree Brum, Mat Contrair." Axel said quickly and the formation glowed a ghastly blue.
'What the hell is going on?!' Arvion thought to himself as a mind link seemed to have stemmed between him and Axel.
'Hello little mouse. You will be my familiar from here on out. Can you understand me' Axel said through the mental link.
'What's going on?! Can you understand me?! And who's who familiar now? From today onwards you're my familiar!' Arvion replied
"Has it gone well?" The old man said.
"Yes, father... though he says I'm his familiar..." Axel replied with a confused face.
'That's because you are my familiar! I don't know exactly how but the contract got reverted.' Arvion thought.
"He says the contract got reverted somehow," Axel said, the confusion on his face getting deeper and deeper by the second.
"That's impossible. Congratulations on making a... strangely familiar. You are rather lucky. Those your age rarely manage to get a familiar that can think let alone cast magic." The old man said before laughing gently.
'I guess I should leave it alone now.' Arvion thought to himself.
'What was that system notification anyway?'
'Wait What!?'

Robinson Crusoe (Completed)
Robinson Crusoe is a novel by Daniel Defoe, first published on 25 April 1719. The first edition credited the work's protagonist Robinson Crusoe as its author, leading many readers to believe he was a real person and the book a travelogue of true incidents. Epistolary, confessional, and didactic in form, the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)-a castaway who spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued.
