《The day I became World Administrator》13. Elemental Magic

Magic, complex or simple? An eternal question. Of all the tales and legends of the modern world, magic was described as a rare and unique gift that only a select few could hope to wield.
That Isaac was one of those chosen ones already gave him a lot of hope and joy, helping him somehow to forget the disappearance of his world. He then became a workaholic in an attempt to escape the nostalgia that lurked in him but above all, to try to find a solution to find his friends and family.
Although everything that had happened to him, he found the situation to be a godsend, a unique and extraordinary experience, but he couldn't help but be sad that they were all gone, probably dead.
Still, a hope floated in his mind. The idea that one day he would see them again and that with his powers of Administrator, he could one day show them this new world.
Unstoppable and indefatigable, Isaac chained experiences and experiments day and night and every minute of every day for nearly a week.
In the plain, in the middle of the enormous crater, the only vestige of what was once a forest, we could regularly see flashes of light of different colors.

The once smooth crater with flat walls had changed a lot. Now rough, the walls were punctuated with small craters, the surface of the ground slightly charred at times as well as trees and huge boulders rising from the ground.
In the center was Isaac, floating a few feet above what appeared to be a rune inscribed directly in the air. The green colored rune spun around and emitted pulses of energy regularly that roamed the entire crater.
Inside, two very different golems from the other golems in the Garden were standing, one in front of Isaac, the other behind, both in fighting stance, one hand on the ground, knees bent, ready to jump.
Six maintenance golems were stationed at the rim of the great crater, their hands in the ground and a strange white aura around them. A white line ran across the entire rim, connecting each golem with the next and forming a circle around the crater.
A barrier had been erected around it, creating a combat arena and preventing combatant spells from destroying the surroundings.
Although maintenance golems are quite inferior in terms of power, over the last few days Isaac has noticed that they have a very high ability to work in symbiosis. Much easier than defense golems.

Where defenders focused on a massive attack on a target, maintenance golems shared their resources and information via a mana wave communication network like a radio.
Via this method of communication, each maintenance golem could calibrate with the others and possibly send mana to another when needed. This is where their strength laid.
As a maintenance golem, their job was not to be able to destroy a target or an intruder alone, but to take care of the entire garden. And it started by maintaining the plants as well as the runes.
For this, they badly needed to be able to delegate tasks in order to summon spells on a very large scale capable of acting on the entire garden. For example, by creating a spell that would summon a huge cloud to create rain and water all the plants.
Although defense golems have such a function for defense, golems only use it for exchanging information about their position and potential intruders.
Over the last few days, nothing had happened and no intrusions had occurred, much to Isaac's surprise. But what surprised him above all was the message he got when he tried to reactivate the rune once the 50% mark had been crossed.
[System] Error: Unable to reactivate the rune.
[System] The rune must be recharged to 100% before being reactivated.
[System] The rune has entered an 8-day sleep period following its deactivation. This period cannot be shortened or stopped. The rune cannot be reactivated before the end of its sleep period.
Although slightly worried about this lack of security, Isaac wasn't too worried either. After a quick survey of the abilities of the golems, it was relatively certain that the only thing that could penetrate the defenses would be a danger even to a modern metropolis.
During his days of experimentation, in addition to testing the skills of maintenance golems, also tested those of defense golems. In addition, their offensive capabilities and of course he was not disappointed.
After all, all of the charring craters in the arena had been created by these golems. Where maintenance golems can manipulate wind, thus being able to create barrier derivatives that were actually walls of constant wind, defense golems manipulate fire.
They create intense jets of light, literally lasers, that explode on impact with anything, creating these many craters. Initially skeptical about how golems might attack a flying animal, Isaac didn't care at all.
If a griffin, dragon, or other flying monster were to arrive, they would likely be bombarded with lasers the second they appeared.

After all these experiments and having analyzed the spells cast by the golems, Isaac learned more about the workings of magic and in particular elemental manipulation, or elemental magic.
This magic was in fact the manipulation of the natural energy present around it by the manipulation of the mana present at its side. Using an analogy, elemental magic would be like controlling the movements of a feather by manipulating the air around it or more specifically, by blowing on it.
But in the case of magic, the feather is natural energy, and air equals mana. Where mana was relatively abundant, it was not necessarily the easiest thing to manipulate outside of yourself.
Natural energy has the same properties as mana. It has frequency and intensity but cannot be manipulated directly. There are three types of energy derived from it.
Elemental energy which includes particles of an element, namely water, earth, air or fire, and which float in all matter in different ratios depending on the environment.
For the other two types, Isaac could not identify them or find out what they were used for. He had to wait a bit.
Isaac had assumed that with his status, a lot of things must be very difficult for normal people to do. It also included elemental magic. While it is very easy for him to summon the elements, most would probably have to spend a lot of mana trying to manipulate the mana on the outside and thus manipulate elemental energy.
Remembering that the mana present in the air has a very low frequency and a fairly high intensity compared to the mana present in the circuit of living beings. The lower a manicle has a frequency, the more difficult it is to manipulate it. Thus, to do elemental magic, it is necessary to release mana in oneself, which is easier to manipulate, and mix it with the mana outside in order to finally be able to control the elemental magic.
The higher the refined mana released, the greater the amount of elemental magic controlled and the more powerful the spell cast will be, since it converged much more energy.
The reason the energy collected in his experimentation was so great, resulting in the crater Isaac was standing in, was because he had filled the entire area around him with his mana.
The concentration and mixture between his mana and the outer one was such that he unconsciously created what he had termed a "mana hole" from the term "black hole".
The intensity was so strong that the manicles in and around the area began to converge on Isaac's mana and control stabilized critical mass point. Thus, the more Isaac held the sphere, the more the manicles around it converged, the more the sphere grew, creating a vicious circle ... or virtuous depending on the point of view.
After all the results obtained, Isaac could thus more easily manipulate his aura, his mana and that around him and of course: Elemental energy.
In front of him were two golems of a brand new model that he wanted to test and on which he wanted to find his new abilities. This new model named "Gelom" by Isaac, still without any ounce of creativity, was devoted solely to recognition. Unlike the other two golems who weren't supposed to leave the Garden, the Geloms were supposed to cover a great distance and be able to report information on what they had discovered.
Based on, and especially copying, the runes inscribed on the bodies of the other two golems, the Geloms have fairly good control over their bodies, but their offensive and defensive capabilities are very limited. Measuring only two meters tall, they look like dwarves compared to their cousins.
However, their strength does not come from their offensive or defensive abilities, but from their speed.
Geloms, like other golems, had to be controlled by a rune of logic, a central rune that would give them orders. At present, Isaac didn't quite know how to start creating a rune that would put them on autopilot and release them into the wild. He therefore had to reuse the rune of logic from the Garden in order to be able to control.
For this exercise, Isaac gave them the goal of retrieving the fruit that was under him by any means possible. The only thing they were waiting for was the start signal.
Seeing that they were ready and positioned, Isaac then raised his hand to the sky and a two by two meter rune with red lines suddenly appeared above him, also inscribed in the air. Orally, Isaac then spoke aloud, loud enough that they could hear him.

Master of Dungeons
-This is my first attempt at uploading a story I created. It is not a fanfic, but uses several systems from other stories I've read. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments or criticisms as appropriate. Thank you.-Edwin Cast was your (mostly) regular guy living and working in Kentucky. He had a knack for working, and was always bouncing from job to job as fancy took him. Insatiably curious, he was always on the look out for new or interesting information or things to do. You could say he was a 'hard-work fanatic'.But with an ailing mother and the inability to realize that he was being shunned by those considered his 'betters', he met his mortal end at the hands of those people who he replaced. Beaten to death on the same day his mother died, he's soon pulled from the void into a world beyond his own imagination. Reborn into a fantasy world as the last 'Demon Lord', Edwin is expected to rule over a vast number of races, each of which are considered 'monsters' and demon-kin by the zealous human kingdoms of the world. And if that wasn't enough, the only way to progress and make ends meat is to build and control 'Dungeons' for the righteous humans to invade!Edwin will have to give it his all in a world he never expected even existed, and will have to learn to survive with his wits and growing power in order to establish something resembling peace in the war-torn lands of Eternia.-NOTE: I'm still in the process of working on the storyline, characters, and abilities that will be presented. A large number of themes are planned, and mature/adult content is planned. The story may also be a bit slow in some cases, so please bare with me. Thanks again!-NOTE: People have been mentioning the rough grammar and spelling errors that come with my posts; and while I've said so in the forum comments, I'm going to post it here as well. This is all basically a rough draft. I post the chapters as I write them, with only a spell-check for accuracy. None of the chapters are proofread. Once people point out blatant errors, I try to correct them; but otherwise I'm more interested in writing. If anyone wishes to proofread my work, shoot me a PM on the forums! Thanks again.
