《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Not Forgotten - Part 002

A knock at the door made them both stop what they were doing and look at the door. Scott walked over to the door and opened it to see an officer standing before him. He looked flustered, like he had just ran here.
“What is it?”
“Another murder. It’s similar to Jack the Ripper.”
“Where?”
“13 Miller's Court, off Dorset Street, Spitalfields.” the officer spat out.
“When did you find the body?”
“Quarter before eleven. I was sent here as soon as we heard.”
“Alright, Lou grab your things we’re heading out.” Scott said before walking down the stairs after the officer. Lou followed quickly behind. The officer had a police carriage pulled up for them. They got in and were rushed off to the crime scene.

Scott and I stepped into the bedroom where the body was found. It reeked from the smell of the ladies corpse. The body itself was absolutely mutilated beyond recognition and the area around her was drenched in blood. It was almost like something you would see in a haunted house or a horror story.
“So Detective, what can you tell me?” Scott said to Detective Ron.
“I was hoping you could tell me that. This seems like your kind of jurisdiction.”
“Well, what can you tell me about the victim, like what kind of cuts these are and what was missing from the body.”
“Her body was ripped up by some kind of thick, dull knife. The abdominal organs were all removed and the heart is nowhere to be found.”
“It’s a werewolf! This one however just came of age and was looking for its first hunt so it didn’t think to do it discreetly.”
“A werewolf? I thought you said all of the ones in London were dead?” I asked.

“They were, which means one was still alive or it just moved in.”
“So can I leave this to you?” the Detective asked. We both shot him a glare. “Okay, okay, I’ll do my part.”
I could tell Scott was thinking hard about this but I didn’t know whether it was because he hated werewolves or because he actually cared about the case.
“Well, Lou you're on your own for the rest of the day. Ask Elysif or Iscarat if you need any help. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Scott said walking off.
“Wait what do you mean I’m on my own? I thought that maybe you would be interested in this case?”
“I have more important things to do today. You’re on your own.” he replied as he went out the door.
I decided that it would be best to leave it to the police and went back to the apartment in order to find whatever I could on werewolves. One of the books named “Monsters of Myth and Legend” had a long chapter on werewolves. However what I found interesting was this:
Werewolves, although mainly roam in packs, will sometimes send off a werewolf that has come of age in order to protect the rest from discovery. Upon coming of age a werewolf will grow hungry for the flesh of a human, specifically the heart. Without thinking they will maul whomever has caught their eye and eat their heart.
After doing so they can change into their wolf form at will. This is the only time they will ever need to eat a human heart but if they are injured enough they will do so in order for them to heal faster. Failure to eat a human heart before the next full moon will cause them to turn into a wolf permanently.
“Well that’s interesting.” I said to myself before the door opened up. Looking over I half expected Scott, but Elysif was standing there instead.
“What’s interesting?” she asked.

The Magitons
Book 3 of the Universe Series This novel continues the adventure from the previous novel, Ocean of Dreams. Each novel is meant to stand alone. Widhbo ( pronounced "wee bow") is a MC who will be in each of the six novels in the main series. The starship Sora had been hurtling through space using its FTL propulsion system toward the Dezba star system for over a decade since leaving the planet Beldora of the Hellsaxe system. The Sora had crash landed on Beldora over a century earlier carrying a couple of aliens from another dimension. The ship came from the Borrugal Realm, a band world associated with what was known as the Tor Galaxy, what we call the Milky Way. Human life on Beldora was never the same. Under the influence of the alien known as Widhbo, Beldora was catapulted from the steam age to the space age. The majority of the scientific advances on Beldora were attributed to the leadership of a brilliant man, Jejliard Castonea, who was secretly manipulated by the alien, Widhbo. When rapid advances in technology inadvertently led to a nuclear war, Jejliard decided to evacuate his family, friends and co-workers on the Sora. The plan was to find a new habitable planet and rebuild civilization until they could safely return home. Much to his despair, Jejliard’s family and friends opted to stay on Beldora to ride out the war underground. Even the other alien, Gengor, stayed behind. Borrowing technology stored in the archives of the Sora, Widhbo managed to transfer the personalities of those staying on the planet into digital storage units known as magitons which could survive indefinitely in cold, sterile space. Living crew members who elected to stay on board the Sora were also uploaded to ensure immortality for everyone in case their life support systems failed en route. Widhbo sought to design a cyber paradise for everyone inside their virtual worlds, but things never go as planned where Widhbo is concerned.
