“I am not as privy to that information as I used to be so I am afraid I have nothing to offer you.”
“I know, but I thought I would ask anyways.”
“Okay, well other than feeding you and lending an ear while you’re sober can I do anything else?”
“Oh, I’m simply doing some research for a case that just came up. Do you know where Scott went by chance?” I said.
“No, I haven’t talked to him. Wait what’s the date?”
“The 9th of November. Why?”
“Oh, well I don’t think you’ll see him until tomorrow.”
“Why is that?”
“It’s the aniversary of his wifes murder and the day he massacred all those werewolves.”
“Wait, that's today? Oh no.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I think I have a link between today's case and that. You can call me crazy but I think I need to warn Scott.” I said in a panic.
“What link?”
“There was a murder this morning that was caused by a werewolf and it just happens to be the day that Scott killed a bunch of werewolves. That doesn’t seem like coincidence.”
“Okay, that does seem a little weird but we need to let Scott be for today. He can handle himself.”
“No he can’t fight against something like that when he’s drunk and injured.” I said trying to go out the door but Elysif stopped me.
“He’s not drunk. He refuses to drink on this day. At the very least he can get away if he has no other choice.”
“Fine but I still need to find this werewolf. Do you want to help me?”
“Sure.” she replied and we headed out.
“If I was a werewolf, where would I hide?”

“The sewers perhaps. There are plenty that were built in the past thirty years.”
“Maybe? Do you know any good access points?”
“No, but I know someone who does.” she said, giving a look of mischief that made me very concerned.
“I don’t like that look.” I said, giving her a look of distrust.

Scott opened the door to a small pub. The inside wasn’t very appealing but he knew it well. The old barstools that were stained with liquor and the floorboards were rotting in some areas. Dust was piling up in the back along with a few drunks who hadn’t left since the night before. The bartender looked up from refilling one of the drunks' drinks to see Scott and gave him a smile.
“Scott! It’s been so long and what have you done to yourself?” the bartender said before walking over and giving him a hug.
“I got my ass kicked. How have you been Monty?”
“Good, to think you and Silva came in here for the first time eighteen years ago, all covered in blood and scared out of your mind. You have grown so much since then.”
“Please Monty, I would love to reminisce with you but not today.”
“Oh, right. That’s today huh? I’m sorry for bringing it up. Could I get you something?” he asked solemnly.
“The platter, like always.”
“Anything to drink? I have your favorite in stock?”
“No, just water for today.” he said, sitting at one of the barstools and starting to remove his gloves. Underneath them was a platinum band that was shined from rubbing against the inside of the glove constantly.
“Alright then.” he said before walking into the back and calling to his cook.
“Monty, I got to ask. Have you heard anything about any werewolves around here?” Scott asked when he returned.
“Scott… don’t tell me you plan on doing something stupid? I know you have a vendetta with them but you already took care of that. You don’t need to hang on any more.”
“No, no, it’s for work. A werewolf killed someone so I thought I would ask.”

Bookworld Online: Marsh Man
Welcome dear friends, to the Virtual Reality Full Immersion System called Bookworld Online! Your name is David Drake and you are a 10 year old slave to the Marsh Hag. You were bought from your parents when you were only a small child at two years old. You don't really remember your old family at all. That's a good thing, since you would hate them on sight for selling you to her. All you've know for your whole life is pain. You are usually quickly healed and receive a lot of training and experience as her unofficial apprentice. It's unofficial because she would never pay to have you registered as an actual apprentice. To everyone else, you are just the boy she took pity on and brought into her home. What they don't know is that you are much more than that. So much more. You are her food. She uses you as her own personal buffet and she indulges herself quite often. You even have the permanent scars to prove it. You have learned many things from her, mostly without her knowing, since you have been helping more and more with her spell work the last few years and her potion making. The only parts you can't do are the magic condensing rituals that her potions require and the mana infusions that a lot of her other creations need. Do you wish to initiate the Main Storyline with these parameters? Please Note: I publish daily.Second Note: I changed this story to a fan fiction. It is based on Swamp Boy. The old story is about 4 years old and was dropped after 19 long chapters. The author hasn't been online since then, so I figured it was safe to do my own take on it.

Just Another Isekai
Daniel, a moody college kid hates his boring mundane life. He hates his stupid family and his stupid world preferring the fantasy worlds in video games and books instead. Luckily for him Daniel has been summoned to the forgotten world of Utradem. Finally he will get to live his isekai dream! Utradem is a forgotten world for a reason though, and his summoners have there own plans for Daniel. This is my first time writing and I am mostly just doing this to pass the time. Expect lots of mistakes and wierd/ improper formatting. My uploads will likely be inconsistent at best (going to try and update on wednesdays and fridays). The chapters may also be edited as I go along. That said I hope you enjoy and any feedback is welcome. The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
