Liam opened his eyes and retracted his energy. Zancorix looked the same as mere moments ago, but the monumental changes to the beings on it were indescribable. Luweth turned to Liam.

“How much did you increase their base stats by?”

“A human at level 0 would have the average value of their stats at around 2,500. The high-level humans' stats are now the same as if they had started out with this value. ”

“…You turned a species with a base stats average of 10 into one of 2,500?”

“Yes. I also made sure that every human is now capable of wielding Aura, even if the stats’ value is lower.”

Luweth shook his head in disbelief.

“You have no idea what you’ve just achieved.”

“On the contrary. I’m perfectly aware.”

Liam knew that what he had just done was unprecedented. He had completely overcome his species’ natural limitations in a way that could never be replicated. The Primordial Essence’s ability to break the rules of existence had culminated in a species’ biggest rise in power in the Convergence’s history.

From now on, humanity will have a much easier time dealing with other species.

Humanity had become hundreds of times stronger in the blink of an eye. Species that used to be able to threaten it were now worthless opponents. It was a qualitative change that had arrived suddenly. Luweth spoke.

“Humanity’s going to need time to adapt to their newfound power. They’ll need to relearn how to even move properly. With such a huge increase in stats, every action will seem disproportionate and uncontrollable.”

Liam sighed internally.

“I know. Still, once they get used to it, humanity will be in a much safer position. There are now much fewer species that can threaten us.”

Luweth went silent for a few seconds, looking at Zancorix below.

“What are you going to do now? You don’t have the time to wait for humanity to adapt.”

Liam thought for a bit. Now that his most immediate goals had been achieved and there were no enemies on the horizon, what would he do? Should he go after random species to get XP and increase his level? Or should he try to further his power through some other method? Luweth’s words reached his ears.

“If you don’t have an answer, then listen to me for a bit. There’s someone I’d like you to meet.”

Liam’s inquisitive eyes turned to the Vampire, who continued to speak.

“She has a Personal Attribute that might be useful to you, especially when it comes to your whole ‘transcending emotions’ thing.”

Understanding dawned upon Liam. Expectedly, his friend was concerned about his emotional state. It became clear that Luweth prioritized fixing Liam’s unfeeling condition more than winning the Convergence.

“…Sure, I can make some time, but not much. What is her Personal Attribute?”

“Nirvana.”

Liam raised an eyebrow. The answer wasn’t within his expectations. His perception washed over humanity again, this time instantly identifying the person Luweth was talking about after perceiving everyone’s Personal Attributes. His eyes zeroed in on the figure of a middle-aged Indian woman with kind features. Her gaze seemed to carry the secrets of countless lifetimes.

“I see. So that’s who you’re talking about. Why do you think she can help me?”

“…Just give it a try, man. It shouldn’t take much time.”

Liam momentarily deliberated on whether he should do it or not. His eyes went cold.

“No. Not now. I should focus on developing myself as much as possible. It is highly likely that there will be a powerful enemy to face soon enough. Besides, the three strongest in the Convergence continue to exist.”

Luweth sighed.

“…Alright. Go off and do your own thing, I guess.”

Liam nodded expressionlessly and put his hand on Luweth’s shoulder.

“I believe in you. You are more than capable of taking care of humanity in my absence. Thank you for everything. Don’t forget to deal with Salazar.”

Then, he teleported away. His continuous teleportations led him to the heart of a black hole at the center of a large galaxy. The pressure was easily shrugged off. Liam sat down and closed his eyes.

His mind could no longer be described as human. Every thought carried with it a vision that was beyond mortality itself. Liam released his Aura freely, almost as if announcing to the universe where he was.

Now that I have annihilated two of the strongest factions in the Convergence, it is likely that Emperors will start making alliances to deal with me out of a desire for self-preservation.

In the near future, he would have to face multiple Emperors at the same time. The most problematic part would be fighting around their Imperial Armaments and the coordination of their Supreme Techniques.

No matter. There is nothing my eyes cannot see through.

Liam took it as a matter of course. He was absolute.

At the very edge of his perception, he felt the flow of Aura and the movement of countless armies. The Convergence was preparing itself to exterminate the abnormality that was Liam Allister.

Alexander looked at his hands with trembling eyes. He felt the power within him with disbelief. He leaped out of his bed, grabbing his sword. The change was immediate. He felt himself reach a level he previously considered completely inaccessible. It took him only a few seconds to find his Communicator and start a group call with his inner circle. He attempted to calm his galloping heart as he spoke.

“…Does anyone know what the fuck just happened?”

His words were met with silence. It was only after a few moments that he could hear Cassandra’s disheartened voice.

“He succeeded. Liam increased all of humanity’s power directly.”

“…So, he’s getting further and further away. And his end is coming.”

“…”

Cassandra’s emotions were plain to see to all of those on the call. In fact, said emotions were shared. There was no joy related to the increase in power. The fact that Liam had managed to completely overwrite their species’ information meant that he had reached an even higher level. He had never been so distant from humanity, especially now that his emotions had been compromised. The most human among humans was ceasing to be human. Mikhail was the next to speak.

“We can’t lose focus. Now that everyone’s stats have increased massively, there is no telling how the general population will react. Not only will they have to adapt to their new stats, but problems might start arising. Soldiers and fighters might be too eager to test out their power, creating conflict.”

David’s voice could be heard.

“Shouldn’t we be worrying about Salazar above everything else?”

The others went silent. Alexander nodded, even though nobody could see him. Salazar Yarhim controlled over eighty million people. Now that all of them had their power massively boosted, including himself, the odds that the man would try something were extremely high. Even so, Liam’s inner circle still had Luweth. No matter how much humanity’s stats had increased, they were no match for an Emperor. Alexander spoke.

“We’ll keep a close eye on him. I think we should focus on adapting to the stats Liam has given us. It wouldn’t be wise to go to war without knowing our own limits. We should refrain from being the aggressors for the time being.”

The others said words of agreement. With a sigh, Cassandra spoke. Her voice sounded even more hollow than before.

“…We won’t need to be the aggressors until Liam dies.”

Alexander replied with an ominous feeling.

“What do you mean?”

“We went to war to level up and become strong enough to protect ourselves in the case of an invasion by another species. Now that Liam has increased our power forcefully, those objectives have already been achieved. There’s no need for us to fight anymore; because of this, Liam also won’t let us be attacked since we won’t gain anything from successfully defending ourselves.”

After a short pause, she continued.

“Humanity is now a non-factor. Even without Liam, we have become powerful enough to survive for a long time, especially if we continue to incorporate the knowledge gained from conquering other species. Our position is stable. We also have Luweth’s protection.”

Alexander’s brow furrowed.

“Why would those things make us a non-factor?”

“Liam doesn’t need to protect us anymore. Unless an exceptionally powerful species decides to make a move against us for some reason, he doesn’t need to act. He can fully focus on his own goals.”

At that moment, Alexander understood. The Emperor of Humanity had achieved his objective of stabilizing humanity’s position in the Convergence. Of course, the only way to make the species completely safe was to win the Convergence, but that was unlikely, even for Liam. What he had achieved was good enough. Henceforth, he would act for himself, knowing that humanity was relatively safe.

Arthur spoke with a defeated tone.

“So, we’ve become irrelevant. We’re now just another species in the Convergence, one that Liam doesn’t need to worry about. We swore that we would help him, but in the end, we failed. He still surpassed the scope of our imagination.”

Alexander chose his next words carefully.

“I disagree with your thoughts.”
