"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

A couple of days later, you were just chilling, minding your own business, when your phone obnoxiously buzzed beside you. You jumped right to it, pausing for a moment to roll your eyes at yourself before turning on the screen of your phone. Your heart stopped at the reply to the message you sent half an hour ago.

The truth was you weren't just chilling and minding your own business. You had gone back to your house earlier that day, having forgotten something, and noticed the small sheet of on the kitchen counter. On it was a number scrawled across it, seemingly a phone number, peaking your interest.

You had decided to text it to see what was up, getting a reply from the one and only. . .

Dabi? Who the fuck was that?

Frowning, you sent another message.

Who dis?

You got a reply moments later.

I just said it's Dabi.

You know. . .

The guy you ran into in the alleyway?

The one who broke into your house and threatened you.

When the realisation dawned on you, let's just say you weren't too happy. You automatically wanted to track him down and give him twenty-eight stab wounds. Breathing in deeply, you came to the conclusion that you would be able to do exactly that. You just needed to trick him into meeting up in a secure spot. One that would have to be of his choosing in order to make him feel more comfortable and confident.

We need to meet up and talk.

Sure. Meet you at the pizza joint at the Kamino Ward.

Don't take too long.

You sighed, looking out the window. It was getting close to dusk, and it would take you around half an hour to get there, give or take. You checked the time on your phone, noticing it was nearly five in the afternoon, and got up from the ground. Trying to be as quick as possible, you shut your laptop without logging off. You placed it on your bed, hesitating on whether or not you should actually shut it off. However, taking a look outside and seeing the sky change colour, you waved it off and grabbed your phone.

You quickly went down the stairs, letting Masaru, Bakugou's dad, know that you were leaving.

"Where are you going, (Y/N)-san?" He asked, looking up from a newspaper like an icon.

Thinking fast, you blurted out, "Oh, I'm just meeting Todoroki. He asked me out to an early dinner."

You immediately felt guilty when you saw his face light up in excitement, and you had to look away, mentally punching yourself for lying to someone who had been caring for you for ages. "Oh, that's nice. I hope you two have a good time. Don't have too much fun."

You laughed, mostly in pain, before saying, "Thank you. Make sure you let Katsuki and Mitsuki know when they get back so they don't freak out immediately."

He laughed softly, and your heart squeezed at his preciousness. "Okie dokie. Have a good time, kiddo."

You nodded your head, thanking him before leaving the house. Closing the front door behind you, you shut your eyes in regret. It was only a white lie so you could meet up with some sketchy guy. So why did you feel so horrible for it? Like this was the last time you were gonna see him?

Lol, it was probably nothing.

Sucking in a readying breath, you made your way to the train station.

When Bakugou and his mother arrived home, passionately talking about how that idiot on the sidewalk stupidly tried walking across the busy road while looking on his phone, they noticed your lack of presence right away.

"Where's (Y/N)?" Mitsuki asked, placing the grocery bags on the kitchen bench.

"Oh," Masaru said, looking up from his crossword puzzle like an icon. "She told me to tell you guys that she was going out with Todoroki for an early dinner."

Bakugou's eyes narrowed slightly. "Did she say where?"

"I don't think that's any of your business," Mitsuki said. "Just let her be with her boyfriend. They need to get to know each other better anyway."

Bakugou huffed, grabbing out his phone. Due to how you'd been acting lately, he had always been worried you'd do something stupid.

So he installed Life360 on your phone without you knowing. Used only by the strictest of strict parents.

However, when he checked to see where you were, he couldn't see anything. Which was also the same time he realised you weren't as stupid as he thought you were.

Because you had uninstalled the app.

He huffed, having a sneaking suspicion that you weren't going out with Todoroki.

And so, reluctantly, he texted Todoroki on the group chat, because he would rather initiate a hug than talk privately with that bitch.

Yo, Half-and-Half.

He received a reply a couple of restless minutes later.

What?

(Y/N) said she was going on a date with you tonight.

Is that true?

The next reply made Bakugou's warning bells ring loudly in his head.

No, definitely not.

In fact, she said she was going out to dinner with your family tonight.

'Oh, she's dead meat.' Bakugou's thoughts were all over the place, trying to figure out what you could be doing. He didn't want to assume, but he couldn't help it.

After all, what else was so important that she had to lie to both her best friend and soulmate.

When Bakugou's phone buzzed again, he was quick to check it.

My mark is flashing red again.

I think she's in trouble.

Bakugou's eyes widened. Cursing loudly, he called the police, ignoring the pressing and concerned questions of his parents as he paced the living room.

"So you made it."

You glared at Dabi. The culprit that put your aunt in hospital. The asshole that threatened you in your own home. Who hurt your aunt just because you refused an offer that would obviously fuck up your life entirely.

"I'm here, bitch," you said in your usual nonchalant tone, sticking up a lazy peace sign like the depressed child you were. "Whatcha want?"

"You wanted to talk to me." He said, smirking down at you slightly. You literally saw the crazy in his eyes and you weren't too much of a fan of it.

"Yeah, but I forgot halfway through and I didn't want to suddenly cancel on you and have you burn another loved one to a crisp," you snapped, keeping your face blank.

Dabi's smirk widened, "Oh, she's fine. She'll live."

"Yeah, life support. Very fun." You said. "Leave the people in my life the fuck alone, alright?"

He hummed quietly, staring down at you before saying lowly, "Sure thing. On one condition."

The sirens blaring from up the street were blocking out your conversation from public ears, but anyone watching your face contort in anger and frustration, and eventually, compliance, could probably gather everything that was happening.

And so when Bakugou received the news a few hours later that you were nowhere to be seen, his stomach dropped as he proceeded to immediately tell Todoroki.
