"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

- Julie Dillon

When Todoroki finally arrived at Bakugou's house that afternoon after school (with the help of Midoriya's directions), he hesitated whether or not he should even knock. He knew you were staying at his house, so he didn't want you to know that he was there. Before he could properly contemplate what he should do, the door swung open, surprising him.

There stood Bakugou, in all his Pomeranian glory, already looking like he wanted to punch Todoroki in the face. Huffing aggressively, he walked forward, closing the door behind him. Leaning back against it, he crossed his arms and said, "I literally only agreed to this fucking thing because if she's going to spend the rest of her life with you, you need to know this shit early."

Todoroki nodded, his arms still at his side as he stared at his classmate. "How is she?"

"As you've seen, she's not doing great. She's quite angry, I think. She isn't concerned with any of the grieving bullshit, but she is quite pissed. At the hospital, she kept going on about 'how he could do this' or some bullshit. I've asked several fucking times if she has someone after her, but she seems pretty damn adamant about not telling me."

Todoroki's ears perked up at that. Was there something Bakugou didn't know about her that Todoroki did? Maybe so, seeming as Todoroki might have known what you were refusing to tell Bakugou.

"Something she hates is being fucking pestered with care like she's a thin sheet of glass. Ask her what she wants you to do, even if it's to just leave her alone. Don't fucking pester her. Over time, you'll be able to tell what she wants without asking, but for now, all you can do is ask her. Don't suffocate her."

"Okay," Todoroki replied softly. "Should I ask her about her parents, or are you able to tell me?"

Bakugou cursed, looking behind him at the door, like he could see you through it. He stared for a good while, and Todoroki almost had to ask again, but Bakugou turned around and glared at him. "She's very fucking sensitive over it. So for the love of fucking god, never mention it unless she does first. Got it?"

Todoroki nodded his head, "I understand. . . What happened?"

"What happened, Amaya-san?" Mitsuki asked her best friend, gently rubbing her shoulder as she sat there shaking.

"They. . . They found their bodies. On the ground with three others. Their. . . Their coworkers, I think. They weren't just knocked out or shot or anything, Mitsuki. They were sliced gruesomely. Clearly they had been fighting. Jesus Christ, my sister's face. . ."

Mitsuki frowned, watching as your aunt broke down. She pulled her in for a tight embrace, rocking her back and forth slowly.

"What am I gonna do, Mitsuki? I don't know how to raise a kid. For god's sake, I'm only twenty-five. I don't know the first thing about raising anything. I can't even raise plants."

"I'm right here, sweetheart," Mitsuki said, pulling away and looking at your aunt dead in the eye. "I'm going to help you through your grief. I'm going to help you raise her. Hell, I'll raise her my-fucking-self if I need to. But honey, you're so goddamn strong. There's no way you won't get through this. You'll both look after each other, and I'll always be on the side waiting."

Your aunt sniffled, nodding her head. "Tha-Thank you, Mitsuki."

"Hey, what else am I supposed to do with my life besides kick my son's ass every day?" Mitsuki felt a small sense of relief when she got a small giggle out of Amaya. "You'll both be okay. You've got the Bakugou household looking after you."

"And that's exactly what we did," Bakugou said. "We helped (Y/N)'s aunt learn how to raise her, and we stayed with them when they were working through their most intense parts of grief. For (Y/N)'s aunt, it was just pure sadness. (Y/N), however, was in full denial. She was under the impression that her parents were away on a business trip for two months."

Todoroki's eyes widened slightly, and he felt his heart ache for you. He could only imagine your confusion, and then what would come afterward upon realising what actually happened.

"It was a couple of months before the year ended did she finally leave that stage and come to full terms of what was actually happening. When she realised. . . It wasn't pretty. She already had a history of intense panic attacks and anxiety, which I think she inherited from her father, and so this wasn't good for her at all. She left her room after a month, apparently.

"She came straight to my house as soon as she was ready to get out. It wasn't pretty at all. A lot of lashing out and anger, throwing punches at brick walls and smashing her phone on the tiles. She finally got over that after a week. She was finally back to normal a few weeks after. But as soon as her parents are even remotely mentioned, she'll go right back into a panic attack."

"So, her aunt. . ." Todoroki asked, almost hesitating. "Is she doing the same thing regarding her aunt's situation?"

Bakugou shook his head, "No. Like I said, she's just really fucking angry. She seems really set on finding whoever set the hospital on fire."

Todoroki nodded his head. "Okay. . . Can I see her?"

Bakugou sighed way more aggressively than necessary, before opening the door and walking in. "Sure. She should be fine with it."

Todoroki bowed his head, not that Bakugou saw nor cared, before entering and closing the door gently behind him. He took off his shoes where everyone else's were. Bakugou didn't say anything, just walked upstairs with his hands in his pockets. Before Todoroki could follow, he was stopped by an excited shout from the kitchen.

"OH, IS THIS THE FAMOUS TODOROKI SHOUTO, (Y/N)'S SOULMATE?" Mitsuki was in the kitchen aggressively chopping tomatoes in excitement, her eyes sparkling. "OOOOOOOOOOOH, HE'S SO PRETTY. YOU BOTH ARE GONNA MAKE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. IT'S A GOOD THING SHE DIDN'T END UP WITH BAKUGOU, HE WOULD HAVE FUCKED IT ALL UP–"

"JOKES ON YOU, YOU OLD HAG, MY LOOKS ARE INHERITED FROM YOU."

"WELL YOU'VE RUINED MY GENES WITH YOUR ANGRY LINES–"

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE ANGRY LINES–"

"JUST SHUT UP AND TAKE TODOROKI UP TO HIS DAMN SOULMATE, WILL YOU?"

Todoroki almost sighed out loud, already exhausted from what he just witnessed. Ignoring Bakugou's grumbles, he followed him upstairs, going down the hall and turning to the corner. Without a second thought, Bakugou kicked the already slightly opened door, alerting his presence.

"KNOCK, YOU PIECE OF SHIT," you shouted, having placed yourself in the centre of the spare bedroom that you had claimed months ago.

"FUCK YOU, I CAN DO WHAT I WANT, IT'S MY HOUSE."

"IT'S NOT YOUR HOUSE, IT'S YOUR PARENTS'. YOU'RE JUST LIVING IN IT, BITCH. I DON'T SEE YOU PAYING OFF THE MORTGAGE."

The shout from downstairs from Mitsuki stopped them from arguing further, "BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP BEFORE I TAPE YOUR MOUTHS SHUT AND MAKE YOU SIT BACK TO BACK FOR TWO HOURS."

For some reason it had really done the trick. Todoroki didn't necessarily want to know whether or not something like that had been used against the two as punishment before.

"I have Todoroki here." Bakugou grumbled, and you smiled up at your soulmate.

"Hey, Shouto. Sorry, I was just studying."

"Oh, no, it's okay. Just came in to check on you," he said. "What are you studying?"

"The effects of all the metal I can create from my quirk, actually," you said. "Did you know that when when molten iron is suddenly poured onto ice, it explodes? That's what happened at the Sports Festival."

Todoroki smiled down at you, glad to see you were back to normal.

He failed to see your hand move across the mouse on your laptop, closing a tab on your computer screen.
