"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

"I'M FALLING TO PIIIIEEEEEEEECEEEEEES, yeah–"
"I know."
"YOU ASSHOLE, I WAS JUST TRYING TO QUOTE A SONG."
You had only just entered Lunch Rush's cafeteria for lunch with Uraraka, Midoriya and Iida behind you two. You were just enjoying life as much as possible and had decided to break out into song, however Bakugou was being a little dickstick again and was giving his unwanted input.
He just rolled his eyes before glaring at Midoriya, standing in front of you and making you pause in your footsteps. The other three paused with you, looking along, but you just smiled at them and told them they could go sit down.
Midoriya held no arguments as he scurried to his usual seat. Once you were sure they had walked away, you turned back to Bakugou, who was still glaring at Midoriya. You punched his shoulder with the same force he did earlier that morning, and his gaze shifted onto you. "What is it, Bakugou?"
"Come sit with us today." He gestured behind him, and you looked over his shoulder. At a table, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Mina were all waving at you. Sero, who you had only talked to a couple of times, was doing the same, just with more awkward. You waved back to all of them before looking back at Bakugou.
"Why do you want me to sit with you guys? I usually sit with those three." You gestured to your own table, who were all watching intently, making sure Bakugou didn't do anything to you. You couldn't even see Iida's eyes, they were just intense white boxes from the glare of the light hitting his glasses. You laughed nervously at him.
"Because I know the Half and Half Bastard sits relatively close to you guys." He had a point, and you looked back over to see that Todoroki was in fact sitting next to Midoriya. He was staring just as intently as the other three, only looking back down to his food when you caught his gaze. You sighed. You knew you had to chat with him, but you didn't want to face it today.
"Okay," you turned back to Bakugou. "I'll sit with you guys today. Thank you."
He let out a very aggressive 'tch'. "Just so you know, it wasn't me. Dunce Face and Raccoon Eyes wanted you to. Shitty Hair is just a big massive fucking ball of enthusiasm and loves everyone anyway. And Tape Arms. . . I don't know what the fuck his deal is, but he seems on board. So I'm not taking no for an answer. They'll start crying like babies otherwise."

You didn't doubt his statement, and so you followed him to the table, quickly motioning to Midoriya that you were going to sit with them. He put a thumbs up, smiling at you adorably before turning and telling everyone else. They seemed iffy about it, but Midoriya knew your relationship with Bakugou. Even though he and Bakugou would fight nonstop, you were still as close to them both as you could be. It had certainly saved him from explosions to the face numerous times.
Once arriving to the table, you sat next to Bakugou, almost jumping in surprise when the adorable beans cheered.
"HER ASS IS OURS NOW." Kaminari screamed aggressively, pulling you closer to him and laughing chaotically. You snorted at him before quickly looking back at your table. You immediately locked eyes with Todoroki. You were almost taken aback at his harsh stare as he looked at you.
"Jesus Christ." You mumbled to yourself, still maintaining eye contact.
"It's Jason Bourne." Kaminari said, and you laughed unattractively as you looked back at him, high-fiving and missing completely. You two slapped each other in the face.
Mina spat out her water mid-snort and laughed uncontrollably as she watched you two rub your faces in pain. Kirishima was laughing at you, and Sero literally fell on the ground at how hard he was giggling.
"Fucking knew this was a mistake," Bakugou mumbled to himself, ignoring the chaos surrounding him and eating his food.

The school day had finally ended, however Midnight had asked you and Todoroki to stay back. You rolled your eyes dramatically as you watched your freedom slip away. Once everyone had left, you having to tell Midoriya to leave without you, you looked up at the teacher.
Aizawa, All Might and Principal Nezu had joined her, and you groaned as you flopped onto your desk. You didn't want to deal with this bullshit.
"We've heard about your situation," Principal Nezu said, and you glared at Aizawa. He looked back at you, and you mouthed 'tattletale', however he just ignored you. You sighed. You thought Todoroki would only be kept back like the tattletale said.
"Yeah," you replied simply, sitting back up in your seat properly. You ignored Todoroki's burning gaze in the back of your head, and was thankful that he looked away when the principal started speaking again.
"We're here this afternoon to resolve this issue. Not only are you two soulmates, but you two are the foretold legends–" You zoned out after that, having heard it ten thousand times beforehand. More legendary bullshit and why you two need to get along. If you are those legendary soulmates, then your bond would be what saved the world.

Whatever. None of it was new information.
"Young (L/N), are you listening?" All Might asked, causing you to flinch in surprise. What was happening?
You played your wild Uno card, "If me and Todoroki don't have a proper bond, the world will burn to ashes?"
Principal Nezu shook his head before saying, "That was what I was talking about when I first told you guys about your prophecy, but that's not what I'm discussing now. If you could please pay attention, this is important–"
You rudely cut him off, only feeling guilt for a moment before your anger towered over it. "Let me ask you something. Why am I still here having to talk to teachers and pay attention like I'm still in class? School finished fifteen minutes ago–"
"You are here because you need to learn to get over yourself, (L/N)," Aizawa said loudly, not yelling, but loud enough that it made you shut up and completely regret all your life decisions. "You keep complaining about how you and Todoroki don't get along, and how he treats you like a task. Really, it's your fault. You keep choosing to avoid him, hoping this will all wither away. Todoroki here seems to be the only one trying to catch up with you and create a bond."
"I chose to avoid him today because, as I already said earlier, I needed a break. I needed a day off from all this legendary soulmate crap, and I needed a break from my issues with Todoroki!" You argued back, standing and pointing to the ground in protest.
Aizawa replied almost immediately, "All your issues with Todoroki are the cause of your own little insecurities going on in your mind. You haven't even tried putting yourself into Todoroki's shoes. You have no clue what he is thinking!"
You felt like you were fighting with your dad.
"I don't need to know how he thinks because it's pretty obvious what–"
"You have no idea what Todoroki is thinking because you have made no effort whatsoever to get to know him! He's been my student for a week and I've already learnt a lot about him. Maybe if you put in the same amount of effort instead of trying with every fibre of your being to avoid him, you'd understand his thought process."
It felt like no one else was in the room besides you two. The other teachers were standing off to the side, awkwardly watching the argument and debating whether or not they should intervene. Todoroki hadn't said anything.
"Can you blame me–"
"That is exactly what I am doing, (L/N)! Because I'm right. You don't know what Todoroki means by his words because you've made no effort to get to know him. If you did know him, you would know as much as I do that he can take things too literally sometimes, or that he could have his own definitions of things. Just like how you have your own way of how things should be phrased."
"What–" Todoroki was cut off immediately by your voice.
"All my life I've thought that my soulmate would hate me! Have you seen these goddamn words on my arm? 'I don't think someone like you could be my soulmate'. How else should I interpret that?!"
Aizawa stared you down before speaking in his normal low tone, clearly trying to calm himself down. "Tomorrow, when you arrive to school, you will spend all day with Todoroki. I don't care what the hell you want to do. If you won't make any efforts to bond with him, I'll force you."
You felt your whole world crashing down, which was an exaggeration, yes, but felt accurate at the time. "I'm not a five-year-old–"
"You want to act like a child, you'll get treated like one." He then left the room, hands in his pockets.
You huffed in frustration before grabbing your bag and leaving, the other teachers making no move to stop you. Todoroki was still stuck in his seat, his eyes a little bit wide in shock at what he just witnessed.
Midnight spoke up after a few moments, "What kind of father-daughter-like argument bullshit did I just witness?"
"That was intense." All Might said before walking over to Todoroki and saying, "Are you alright, Young Todoroki?"
The boy nodded his head in response, saying in a low voice, "Yeah. I'll guess we'll be able to figure it out tomorrow."
All Might nodded his head, placing an encouraging hand on his shoulder. "You'll get though it, my boy. This is all just because of a misunderstanding and lack of communication."
Todoroki didn't even hear him. He had passed out when his idol placed his hand on his shoulder.
