The next day, we went to the advance zone, the same area where we fought the basilisks last time.

We detected dark energies densely from the cave instead of below the cliff. They moved their nest to the cave and hid inside.

Ilario prepared himself, he was wearing mark, then activated “Wind Barrier” and “Wind Dragon Wings”. Afterward, he activated earth magic to make the earth quake inside the cave to herd all the Basilisks out of the cave. It was too risk to go and kill them inside the cave.

Luna and Solaris used “Light Beam” to burn them after they saw the Basilisks began to come out of the cave.

Some of Basilisks breathed poison.

Ilario made sure that he herded all of the Basilisks out of the cave, then flew up in the air to avoid the poison. He activated “Fire Breath” to burn them.

We burned them continually until we detected nothing related to dark energy around here.

We went to the other area to find more monsters. There were many caves around this area. We detected dark energies with highly power. We went closer and observed the situation.

We saw 5 Minotaur, their bodies are men and their heads were bull-like, they were stronger and more intelligent than Cyclopes.

Ilario activated “Wind Dragon Wings” to fly up in the air, then activated “Solis Meteor” to attack them all at once but it could make some damage on them. Their bodies were strong and their skins were thick.

They looked for the source of attack and saw Ilario flying up in the air. They were throwing the rocks to attack him.

Luna and Solaris used "Light Beam" to burn them, Luna’s light beam could paralyze them a bit.

Ilario activated “Ardeat” in limited range to attack all the Minotaur. They got more damaged but still attacked back to Ilario by throwing the bigger rocks. He dodged their attacks on time, it was close to hit him.

Luna and Solaris continued to burn them and distracted them from Ilario. Their attacks made the Minotaur confuse.

The Minotaur were strong with fighting on the ground but Ilario was flying in the air. For that reason, they could do nothing much but threw the rocks to attack him.

Ilario activated “Ardeat” in wider range to attack them again. Some of them could dodge the attack and went to hide behind the rocks. Some of them threw the rocks to attack him back. One of them was badly injured.

Luna and Solaris hurriedly burn the injured one. It died after got attack continually.

We took more time to fight with them. They fought like humans, they could think of tactic, they knew how to fight, dodge, block, and wait for a chance to attack back.

They were spreading to different ways to hide, and wait for a chance to attack back. They learned the power of ‘Ardeat’ and knew that they should not stay in a group.

We separated to attack them as well. Now it was 3 to 4 fight. Ilario activated “Ardeat” by compressing power to attack one of Minotaur. It died on the spot. Meanwhile, another Minotaur threw a large rock to attack him when he attacked one of Minotaur. He got hit on the back.

“Argh” His back hurt. His body bounce after he got hit. He flew up higher to heal himself and prepare to attack back. Afterward, he activated “Ardeat” by compressing power to attack the one that attack him. It died on spot.

Luna killed one of them and went to help Solaris to burn the last one. Ilario went to help them, he activated “Wind Slashing” to cut its head to stop its movement. Luna and Solaris used “Light Beam” to burn and destroy dark magic stone.

We continued to find and kill monsters the entire day, and then we went back home. We did not need to camp outside after Ilario was familiar with travelling by light speed.

After fought with the high level of monsters for a while, he realized that he must develop more abilities of light magic power. He felt that his power rapidly increased, so much so that he could develop more abilities. He decided to break the fight and concentrate on development.

“I’d like to know about the concept of light speed. How could you do that?” Ilario asked.

“We are light spirits. We can go anywhere by light energy from the solar system as well as ‘Light Speed’. It’s the same principle of light,” Solaris said.

“Is it possible for me to do so?” Ilario asked.

“You possessed light magic power. You can do the same,” Solaris said.

“I see. That mean I can develop ‘Teleport’ like you two did when disappeared, right?” Ilario asked.

“Yes, you can do everything related to light magic power and light energy,” Solaris said.

“In case of ‘Teleport’, there are some conditions for humans. You must go to that location once and remember the light energy around that area, and the body must be strong enough to resist the side effect, especially long distance. The condition of your body now is all right,” Luna said.

Time passed 1 year in “The Practice World”.

After he took a break and concentrated on new abilities, he succeeded to develop his abilities as the guideline from Luna and Solaris. He was able to use ‘Teleport’, the ability to teleport by using photons, he failed countless times but he got helped from both of Luna and Solaris until finally succeeded, ‘Invisible’, the ability to make himself or things be unseen by using refraction principle. It was useful when fighting but it has no effect to any races that have more magic power than him, ‘Light Shield’, the ability to protect as a shield which developed from ‘Light Barrier’ but compressed the power in shape of shield or other forms with high density, it uses for protecting strong dark magic power.

Luna and Solaris developed their abilities as well, most of their new abilities were the same concept of his light magic power. Luna was able to us ‘Light Purify’, the mixed power of light, healing, and holy powers of her, the ability to purify dark magic power at rate of 100%, like ‘Holy Purify’. Solaris was able to use ‘Light Force’, the ability to devour dark magic power by burning the target in wavelength.

After we improved ourselves, we could kill the high level of monsters very quickly. At this rate, we would be able to kill monster lord and go back to another world soon.

Ilario also wanted to rush to finish everything here, he felt it boring to stay here for long time. He thought that 5 years were enough for him.

Luna and Solaris also wanted to follow him to another world. Normally, they were able to go anywhere and any parallel worlds. They determined to fight alongside him.

Yesterday, we found a cave where we guessed that there was a monster lord staying inside. We detected highly dark energy and the other dark energies densely. It seemed like they were gathering inside the cave.

We planned to kill monster lord today. We decided to do the easy way by making them out of the cave and burn them all. We will find the way to kill monsters lord later because he did not sure about the detail of this monster lord but he roughly guessed that the monster lord might relate to Basilisks because he felt the energy of Basilisks inside the cave.

We used “Teleport” to the area near the cave. Ilario prepared himself for fighting, he was wearing mask, then activated “Wind Dragon Wings”, “Resistance”, and “Light Shield” to protect himself. Afterward, he activated earth magic power to make the earth quake and herd all the monsters out of the cave.

We saw many Basilisks beginning to come out. Luna and Solaris burned them. Ilario left the Basilisks to them. He aimed for monster lord. He activated earth magic power to make a very strong earth quack, then flew up in the air to avoid the poison.

He saw a woman came out, her appearance was like shape shifting of human-snake, snake like face, short black hair, black eyes, woman body with patchy snake scales, wearing sleeveless body suit in black color shade of basilisk’s skin.

He had seen her description and drawing picture in the book name ‘How to kill monsters’. Her name is Venena, the shaft-shifting of snake with poisonous ability.

“How did you dare to interrupt my resting?” Venena said angrily.

Ilario said nothing but activated “Ardeat” by compressing power to attack her directly.

Venena was angrier after she got attack, her body regrew itself very fast as if it had nothing happened to her. She activated ‘Dark Poison’ to shoot at him. He dodged the direct attack on time, fortunately, he activated “Resistance” before he started to fight with her. Even so, he needed to activate “Recover” to recover himself hurriedly. She attacked him in wide range and it was very strong poison with dark magic power. There was some effect remaining in the range of her attack.

He flew to the sky, then activated “Resistance” again to make sure that it can resist some of her power. He was thinking of the way to kill her.

He recalled the information in the book but there was nothing much in details, it described that we needed to destroy her dark magic core.

He came up with the plan of attacking her randomly, and then find her weakness.

“Solaris, I need your help. We need to attack Venena and find her magic core. She’s strong. I can’t approach her,” mind communicated Ilario.

Solaris attacked Venena with ‘Light Beam’ but she could block. It seemed like she could sense the energy from Solaris. Ilario flew toward her but still kept distance, then activated “Solis Breath” to burn her. We both focused on her and burned her continually. It worked well, she could do nothing but blocked our attacks.

“Luna, we need you here. I think it worked to burn her. I’ll find the way to block her movements and cut off her body,” mind communicated Ilario.

He flew near Venena after Luna started to attack her. He activated “Ice Freezing” to freeze her below body, then activated “Wind Slashing” to cut off her body at vitals area.

Unexpectedly, her body regrew itself very quickly and turned to be large serpent, like a queen of Basilisks. It abandoned her below body which was frozen by Ilario’s power. It used its tail to hit him and breathed poison very quickly.

He dodged her attack but the poison was so dense, he inhaled some of poison even he activated “Resistance” beforehand. He flew to the sky, then activated “Recover” and observed Venena’s reaction while she was being burned from both of Luna and Solaris continually.

It seemed that Venena knew the source of burning but she could do nothing, her body regrew itself slower after she was being burned.

Ilario realized that we should hurriedly destroy her dark magic core at her heart, otherwise the situation would be adverse because we lost too much power.

While he was thinking of the way to kill Venena, all the Basilisks slithered toward Venena, their bodies merged together. Venena began to change to be gigantic serpent.

‘Whoa…what was that?’ He exclaimed.

“I think we should find her dark magic core and destroy it quickly. Did you two find out where exactly her heart?” mind communicated Ilario.

“I felt the dark magic core in the center of her body. That’s why she blocked our attacks at that area all this time,” mind communicated Solaris.

“I can purify her dark magic core but you have to cut off her body near that area first. You need to be careful. Her poison is stronger after she merged the bodies,” mind communicated Luna.

“I think I need to make a bet on the next attack. She can regrow herself very fast. I will activate ‘Solis’ on sword to cut off her body, it might be slower her speed of regrowth. So, Luna can purify the dark magic core inside her body easier. — Solaris, please help me attack her on the area of dark magic core. So, she will concentrate on blocking you. If we missed, it’s better for us to retreat,” mind communicated Ilario.

Ilario activated “Resistance” and “Light Shield” thicker, then activated “Invisible” to hide himself.

Solaris was attacking Venena with “Light Beam” while Luna was waiting for Ilario to cut off Venena’s body.

Ilario took out his sword, then activated “Solis” on sword. He waited for a chance to attack her.

Venena was protecting herself very well and her body regrew very fast after she began to merge her body with the other Basilisks. They continued to merge bodies, it made Venena’s body become larger.

“Luna, please attack another side of her. I wanted her to be busy blocking your attacks. I will cut her body off as fast as I can. We’d better hurry, or else her body will be larger than this. It would be hard to kill her,” mind communicated Ilario.

After Luna attacked another side of Venena, Ilario saw the non-defense spot. He used “Teleport” to go behind her, then cut off her body at center area into two pieces. He saw her dark magic core clearly. While he was excited with his attack, he felt hurt on his chest.

‘Why my body hurt?’ Ilario thought to himself.

“Ilario, your body!” mind communicated Luna.

Ilario looked at his chest, he got stabbed on the back through to front by her tail which generated in shape of large fang. It was hard, sharp, and coated by her poison.

Venena stabbed him after she got cut off. She did not lose her senses and attacked him back after she got cut off into two pieces.

Ilario activated “Lumen” to burn her tail and heal himself at once. She pulled back her tail out of his body.

Ilario used “Teleport” to go far away from her. He was seriously hurt from poison.

“Luna, please purify the dark magic core. Solaris, keep attack her. Don’t worry about me. I will move far away and heal myself,” mind communicated Ilario.

He used “Teleport” to go far away from that area and made sure that he was in safe area. He flew up on the tree, then activated “Invisible” “Recover” and “Instant Heal”. The wound completely healed, but he felt his body was being burned inside. He activated “Recover” again by mixing water magic power inside his body, he needed to dilute the quantity of poison inside his body. It took time for him to completely recover. He was exhausted his magic power so much. He rested and activated “Light Absorption” to absorb light energy and fill up his magic power. He was worried about Luna and Solaris, he felt that they were fighting hard.

He used “Teleport” to go to the fighting area. He saw Luna purifying dark magic core while Solaris was burning Venena. They were exhausted their powers with long fight. He gave them both his magic power. When we stay together, we can exchange our powers more effectively.

After Luna and Solaris got his magic power, Luna could purify dark magic core completely. Ilario helped them burn the bodies of Venena and the Basilisks. We were exhausted from this fight.

Ilario recalled about the words from Queen Agnes, this monster lord was the weakest among 4 monster lords. He realized how difficult it was going to be, but he must do the best to kill all the monster lords and Diabolus in the future. He needed to be stronger.

We went home by “Teleport”. We were tired and wanted to rest as soon as we can.

Ilario slept for 3 days. When he opened his eyes, he could not see Luna and Solaris beside him as usual. He went out of the bedroom and saw the gate. Luna and Solaris were staying there and looking at the gate.

“You woke up,” Solaris said.

“The gate was open 2 days ago,” Luna said.

“I’m not sure that you two can go through this gate directly. It connected to the elves’ village, and the Queen did not allow any races go inside the village without her permission. I think both of you’d better come to me after I got permission from her first,” Ilario said.

“We think so too. We felt that we should not go through this gate. We will go back the spirit world and wait for your call,” Luna said. Both of them disappeared.

Ilario packed everything, he was ready to go back. He walked through the gate. He felt that his body slowly changed back to himself at age of 10 while he was walking through the gate, his clothes were no more fit, it became oversize for his body now.
