Ilario was surprised by its appearance. It was strange that he did not fear it but he felt so calm when it came closer. He was attracted by the light aura around its body like the moonlight.

“Who are you?” a white wolf calmly asked, her voice was female.

‘It can talk? I have never seen any monsters in this appearance before. Just try to talk to her first,’ Ilario thought to himself, he did not feel any bad intention from her.

“My name is Ilario. I came here for training,” Ilario said.

“How could you come here? There is no human in this world,” a white wolf asked him continually.

“There is the queen of elves in another world opened the gate for me. Well, I didn’t know exactly how but I just walked through that gate,” Ilario said.

“Is there a need for you to practice here?” a white wolf asked curiously.

“Do you know about Athena Goddess? She gave me a duty to kill monsters in another world,” Ilario said. He briefly told her because he did not know how to explain her in details.

A white wolf said nothing and looked up at the sky. The forest was completely silent. He wanted her to say something but she stayed silent while she was looking up at the sky.

“Could you please tell me what you are? I’ve never heard that a wolf can talk and I felt familiar energy from you.” Ilario asked curiously.

“My name is Luna, I’m a lord of light spirits at night. I came to rest in this world and sensed your magic power,” Luna said.

“Oh…It’s a pleasure to meet you. I heard that the spirits are not often show up,” Ilario said.

“I like your light magic power. Would you like to make a contract with me? I can give you more light energy, especially at night. I can help you to fight anytime when you called me even the daytime. There is another lord of light spirits that rule the light spirits at day. We have the same level of power but we were separating the duties. In exchange of contract, give me some of your light magic power sometime,” said Luna kindly, her tone of voice was friendlier.

‘It’s very good offer. I can boost my light magic power with her light energy. There is nothing to lose.’ Ilario thought to himself. He wanted to know more in details.

“Will you really come every time when I call you?” Ilario asked, he wanted to make sure before he makes a contract with her.

“Of course, I will come to you every time you called me. I can even stay with you all the time but I need to consume your magic power more often in return,” Luna said.

“Is there any side effect after I gave you my magic power?” Ilario asked.

“Don’t worry. You have very high magic power, there will be no side effect in your case. If anything, I can fill you with my energy. But I don’t think I have to do so because you can fill up your magic power very fast. Don’t you know the barrier consuming your magic power all the time? There is no human who can do it,” said Luna reassuringly.

“All right. Let’s make a contract. How could I do it?” Ilario said.

“Put your hand at the crystal on my forehead and say your full name,” Luna said.

“Ilario H. De Fortis,” Ilario said.

“Luna, a lord of light spirits at night,” Luna said.

The light was shining all over our bodies. Ilario could feel his power getting drained, but in the meantime her power was flowing into his body. It was like we were exchanging our powers.

“It’s done. I engraved my power at your magic core. I can go to you when you called me anywhere and anytime. I can go to you right away when you are in danger without call, but I think I will stay with you. I can be a help to you,” said Luna kindly, “I will be in this form. It’s not required much of your magic power.” She transformed to be a wolf cub, her appearance was small and cute.

“Thank you,” Ilario said.

He slept well the entire night. There was nothing woke him during the night after he made a contract with Luna.

He woke up early in the morning. He got a good night’s sleep. Luna stayed with him all the night. He knew that she was protecting and guarding the area for him. For that reason, he could sleep well and did not wake up during the night by the attack alert.

He was preparing the meals for breakfast and lunch. He planned to go to the advance zone today.

“I think it’s better for you to make a contract with another lord of light spirts. I will be right back,” Luna said and disappeared.

“Yes,” Ilario said. He thought that she was very kind to him.

After he finished the breakfast, he folded the tent and cleaned up everything. He inactivated the barrier and prepared himself to go to the advance zone.

“Argh” Ilario was frightened by surprised attack. He was caught by a griffin, an eagle-like monster, its head and wings were like eagle, and its body was lion. It might think that he was a prey. It was flying to the sky after it caught him. He could not move because its feet caught him tightly.

‘Damn, it ruined my mood in the early morning.’ Ilario was angry.

He activated “Lumen” all over his body. A griffin could not resist the heat and released him in the air. He activated “Wind Dragon Wing” while he was falling from the sky.

He flew up to the sky and prepared to attack a griffin. It was flying toward him. He activated “Solis Storm” to devour and burn it in one blow.

He flew down on the ground. Luna showed up with another large wolf. Its appearance was slightly different from Luna but its color was completely different from her. Its fur was white and light orange like sunrise on the sky, its eyes and crystal on its forehead were orange like sun at sunrise. It has light aura around its body like sunrise in the morning.

“I just went to take him here for a while but you already got some fight,” said Luna amusingly.

“Haha…” Ilario laughed nervously and said, “I wanted to warm up my body.” He was too embarrassed to admit that he got a surprised attack. He has never let his guard down before. He needed to be more careful in the future.

“Put that aside. This is a lord of light spirits at day that I have told you. His name is Solaris,” Luna said.

“I heard about you from Luna. Your magic power is really amazing. Nice to meet you,” said Solaris, his voice was male and energetic.

“My name is Ilario. Nice to meet you too,” Ilario said.

“Let’s make a contract first. As you know, Luna is a lord of light spirits at night, her power is strongest at night. I’m a lord of light spirits at day, my power is strongest at daytime. We both can help and protect you all the time. In exchange of contract, give me some of your magic power like you did with Luna,” Solaris said.

Ilario touched his crystal and did the same as he did with Luna last night. The light was shining all over our bodies. His power got drained and Solaris’s power was flowing into his body.

We succeeded to make a contract. He did not get any effect after his magic power got drained by both of Luna and Solaris.

“Your power is the real deal, you know, we are the elite class in the spirit world, we are below the queen of light spirts and the queen of spirit world. There is no human who can make a contract with just one of us but we both could make contracts with you without any problem,” Solaris said.

“Is that so?” Ilario said.

“Yes, we can even stay with you all the time. There will be no effect. And we can adjust your power just in case,” said Solaris energetically.

“I see,” Ilario said.

“Where are you going?” Luna asked Ilario.

“I will go to the area where there are a lot of high level of monsters. I have to train hard for the next three years and kill the monster lord,” Ilario said.

“All right, just for the sake of your training, we will stay near you and help you when you needed,” said Luna kindly.

“What? I thought that we can fight with him. It’s boring. I wanted to fight too,” said Solaris energetically.

“What’s with all the fuss?” Luna said.

“I just wanted to help him,” said Solaris nervously.

“Err…Excuse me. If there are a lot of monsters, you can do as you like,” Ilario said. He did not want them to have an argument with each other. He wanted to know their abilities and what we can do to make a good teamwork. He must observe in the real fight first. One way or another, we have to fight together in the real fight. It was better to make a great teamwork as fast as we can.

“See?” Solaris talked to Luna.

“You are noisy,” said Luna annoyingly.

“Let’s go,” said Solaris energetically, “you can ride on my back.”

“Thank you,” Ilario said.

Solaris was running in normal speed. We intended to kill the monsters along the way to the advance zone.

While we were running, a group of griffins breathed fire on him as if they wanted to get back at him for killing one of them in the morning. One of them tried to catch him but Luna used “Light Beam” to attack it before it could reach to him.

Ilario activated “Wind Dragon Wings” to fly up in the air, then activated “Solis Storm” to devour and burn them all in one blow. He thought about the surprised attack in the morning, it made him annoy. He killed them all very quickly.

“Wow…you’re full of surprises,” Solaris said.

“Thanks to you two. My power is more stable,” Ilario said. He felt that he can handle his magic power easier after he made contracts with them. Before he met them, he found problem when he used magic power sometime. He possessed too much magic power and could not release it out as he wanted, it felt like the problem of bottleneck. Apart from that, their energies made his power get fill up faster than usual and it could help him boost his light magic power automatically.

We reached to the advance zone faster than he thought. He thought of using ‘Mind Vision’ to detect the area. Unexpectedly, he saw all energies in his mind without closing his eyes. All the abilities of light magic power were better after he made contracts with Luna and Solaris.

We walked through the woods and reached to the cave area. We found a group of Cyclopes, the giants with one bulging eye on its forehead, it was the creature born with earth type, straight and cruel.

There were 8 Cyclopes in total. Ilario activated “Solis Meteor” to attack them first. They were hurt from burning but still moving and finding the source of attack.

Ilario hid himself from blind area. They could not find him because they all got attack from above at once.

Both of Luna and Solaris was running around them and breathed the “Light Beam” to burn them. The light beam from Luna was blue light, its power as same as ‘Lightning Force’. The light beam from Solaris was orange light, its power as same as ‘Solis Breath’.

Ilario activated “Solis Shooting” to shoot at them one by one. It took time for a while until we killed them all. Their skin was thick, they had much strength but slow, they could not match our speed and they missed the attacks every time they hit us.

Even though we took a long time to kill all the Cyclopes, we fought together as if we had been fighting together since the long time. It was natural and perfect fight. It felt like we could read each other’s mind.

“Thanks to you two. It would be exhausted if I fought them alone,” said Ilario honestly. “I wondered why we could fight together smoothly.”

“We forgot to tell you. We can read your mind after we made contracts. We can communicate with telepathy to each other,” Luna used ‘Telepathy’ to communicated in Ilario’s mind.

“Right. We can talk in your mind with the 3 of us,” Solaris used ‘Telepathy’ to communicated in Ilario’s mind.

“I got it,” Ilario tried to use ‘Telepathy’ to communicated with them.

They looked at him to show expression that they got his communication.

We could rest for a short while, there were Cyclopes showing up. They came toward us continually. They might stay in the cave around this area.

We used the same strategic to kill them one by one until there was no Cyclops showed up. The Cyclopes were not intelligent, they just attack and hit with their forces without using brain even we attacked them with the same strategic.

The fights were not hard but it exhausted us so much. We needed to use much magic power to kill them because they had shown up nonstop.

We stopped before the other Cyclopes showed up and went to other area that has no monsters to get some rest. We needed to fill up our powers before continue to kill the Cyclopes.

Ilario had a lunch while resting. He was able to use “Light Absorption” automatically. He gave his magic power to both of Luna and Solaris.

Luna and Solaris were able to absorb light energy by themselves. They were more energetic after they got magic power from Ilario.

Our magic powers filled up very fast after we rested for a short while. Our powers were compatible and supporting to each other.

“It was fun. I didn’t kill the monsters for a long time,” said Solaris happily.

“More importantly, we are stronger after we got your magic power. Our powers will be increasing together as time goes by,” Luna said.

“Really?” Ilario said.

“Didn’t you feel it yourself?” Luna said.

“Yes, I felt that I can use more magic power than before,” Ilario said.

Ilario thought that he was lucky to make contracts with them. They would be a great help in the future.

After we got some rest, we went back to the same area near the cave again. We detected many dark energies around this area. There were a lot of Cyclopes here.

Ilario activated “Solis Meteor” to attack them all. Luna and Solaris used “Light Beam” to burn them. Ilario attacked them by activating “Solis Meteor” continually until we killed them all.

Ilario detected area again, he found nothing related to dark energy around here.

The sun was setting. We spent our day to kill all the Cyclopes as if it was the execution of Cyclopes day.

Ilario could summarize the abilities of light spirits after we fought together all day. Luna has abilities of Light Beam (=Lightning Force), Defense and Detect Magic Power Boost Up (Activate automatically), and Healing & Holy Power (as same as Healing, and Holy Magic Power). Solaris has abilities of Light Beam (=Solis Breath), Magic Power Attack Boost Up (Activate automatically), and Speedy Attack, his abilities mostly related to attack power.

We went back to the medium zone where we camped yesterday. We could not risk ourselves to camp in the advance zone. There was high possibility that we can get the surprised attack at night. It was hard to get a good night’s sleep there.

“Can I ask you something? I had learned about the spirits. The name of the queen of light spirits is Lux, right? I heard that she hardly shows up,” Ilario asked.

“Yes, the existence of spirit king and queen are individual. They have only one in each element and rule all the spirits in their element. Queen Lux is very kind but she stays neutral. That’s why she hardly shows up herself,” Luna said.

“We are respecting and serving her,” Solaris said.

“Is that so? Is it all right for you two to help me like this?” Ilario asked curiously. He thought that it was good to have them help him but he did not want to be in trouble later.

“Only Queen Lux must stay neutral. We are different. She allowed us to make contract with humans as we see it fit to our requirements. And we have duties to protect the one we made contract with. Don’t worry,” said Luna reassuringly.

“Right. We’ve never made a contract with anyone before. We required someone like you to make a contract. It’s high standard in itself,” Solaris said.

“We realized that you’re not pure human after we made contracts with you. Apart from that, your magic core is pure light. It’s a significance of great human,” Luna said.

“It’s hard to find the one who fit to all of our requirements,” Solaris said.

“I see,” Ilario said, “I was worried that I could not survive in another world. I think you two are a great help of mine.”

He activated “Light Barrier” and went to sleep early. He was so tired. Luna and Solaris rested beside him.
