Third Person's POV

As they sat there, with their foreheads resting against each other, Aiden suddenly remembered something he felt earlier. He remembered the liquid he felt that came from his backside.

Aiden wanted to know about it, but he was too embarrassed and didn't know how to approach the subject.

Thaddeus sensed the difference in Aiden and wasn't sure what it was. But somehow he felt there was something Aiden wanted to ask him.

Thaddeus pulled back to look at Aiden then ran the back of his fingers down Aiden's cheek.

"What's going on in that mind of yours? You look like you want to ask me something."

Aiden really wanted to know, and figuring it was now or never, he took a breath before speaking.

"There... there was this liquid..."

"Heat is something you experience every full moon. All women and submissive males, once they find their mate, will go into heat every full moon until they get pregnant.

They call it heat because your body gets hot. As your body heats up, it becomes painful. Your body will crave your mate... Your body will crave to have sex with your mate.

You'll crave my scent, my touch, and my knot. Physical contact with your mate will help ease the pain temporarily, but only sex or an orgasm will help.

Although an orgasm without sex will help, It doesn't keep the next wave away as long as actual sex will.

During your heat, you're able to get pregnant. It's the only time you can get pregnant, and only by your mate." Thaddeus said, watching Aiden carefully as he listened to everything he just said. He knew it was a lot to take in.

Thaddeus was surprised he didn't know any of this. It's usually common knowledge. It's taught to you by your parents, and some of it is even taught in school.

Aiden sat there quietly, his head spinning with all the information he just learned. Trying to digest everything and wrap his head around it, when he suddenly realized something and his eyes widened.

Aiden's eyes went wide, his mouth opened as he took a breath in while looking at Thaddeus.

Thaddeus had a look on his face that told Aiden he already knew what he just realized.

"The full moon is less than a week away!" Aiden screeched out.

As Thaddeus showered to get ready for the bonfire, he thought about everything that happened earlier with Aiden.

He remembered being afraid to let it go too far. He didn't want to push him, afraid to scare him, afraid to hurt him.

But when Aiden looked at Thaddeus, with those pleading eyes as he laid there panting, squirming, and practically begging for something he didn't even know what he was begging for, he couldn't help but oblige and give his mate what he wanted.

It was more than obvious to Thaddeus that Aiden didn't understand what was happening to his body and that almost made Thaddeus want to stop, afraid he was going too far.

But he could see he liked it, he could see Aiden wanted more.

He remembered the way Aiden's body responded to him, and responded to his touch. It was something Thaddeus never thought he would get to experience, and it was more than anything he ever imagined.

Aiden's first heat. Thaddeus did leave out a small detail, but only because he didn't want to scare him. A werewolf's first heat is the strongest, which also means it's the most painful. And since he's mated to an Alpha, it makes it even that much stronger.

The scent of an omega in heat is so strong, any unmated male wolf won't be able to resist him if they smell him.

Because of this, Thaddeus will have to keep all unmated males away from the packhouse and tighten security to make sure unmated males stay away.

But that's not tonight, tonight they don't have to worry about Aiden's heat and the pain that will come with it.

Tonight is about introducing Aiden to something new, a bonfire and members of the pack he's never met.
