Huang Dewei stood in his room as he admired the painting picture of Wang Lei and him which they made on the night he became his concubine. As much as he does not want to admit but deep down he was extremely pleased to receive that picture. It was captivating and Wang Lei was looking, even more, memorising while standing with him. He somehow wanted to show that painting to Wang Lei and wanted to see his reaction. He thought then decided to go and tell him about the painting but once he reached his chamber, Cheng told him he was not in his room chamber and was gone out which was surprising since he did not take Huang Dewei, but then he knew Wang Lei was angry with him about his last night's words. Hence he just came to his chamber and started reading a book with the intention that he will talk to him tomorrow.

Meanwhile, after sending away Huang Dewei earlier off from the work, Wang Lei was silently waiting for Feng Zhi who came running toward him in his disguise. They were going out on their secret mission to meet the men they thought could be behind poor children killing. They both jumped out from the wall and started walking. With careful steps, they reached their destination and stopped outside of that person's small house. They both looked at each other and slowly started walking towards the door while keeping their hand on their swords. They stopped at the door and looked around and saw no one. Wang Lei slowly moved and touched the door and surprisingly it was opened. They both looked at each other puzzled and confused as Wang Lei slowly opened the door making a cracking sound and they step inside the darkness.

The inside was all dark as they carefully took their steps. Wang Lei's senses were not right as he looked around and then they felt someone moving. They both stopped as they tried to sense something in full darkness when Wang Lei felt someone right behind him. The sword came from behind but he quickly turned over and stopped the sword to harm him. The fight broke out between them in complete darkness. Feng Zhi realised what was happening as he ran towards Wang Lei and they started fighting with the man they had no idea about by just using their ears.

 They attack and he defended himself and he attacked they defended themselves... the fight was destructive and dangerous as the other man seem to be very professional with his skills as well. He was mostly attacking Wang Lei more than Feng Zhi who was trying to help as much as he could. He attacked once more as Wang Lei tried to turn over and stopped the attack but the sword went right into his stomach. Wang Lei stopped as he felt pain taking over his body when he was pulled toward that man coming face to face with him in darkness. He still was unable to see his face but he smelled like a flower...That was probably his cologne. 

'I was waiting for you...I am surprised you actually came to get me all alone without your army...If you want to catch me get Huang Dewei for me...Get your whore for me because he is the reason this is happening...Tell him to meet me and I will surrender.' That man screamed words at Wang Lei then he pushed Wang Lei away as he took his sword and flea. He ran out of the door and Feng Zhi run towards Wang Lei.

'Your highness...'

'Run after him...Get him...I am fine...' Wang Lei ordered as he pulled him away and Feng Zhi was worried. He knew Wang Lei was wounded and hurt, but he nodded his head and ran out as he followed his order. Wang Lei breathed quicker as he put his hand over his stomach. He was heavily bleeding as he tried stopping the blood. He put back his sword as he tried to move but he felt dizzy and he fell down as he slide down on the wall. The pain in his body was increasing and his eyes were closing and opening in the middle of consciousness and unconsciousness when he saw someone enter inside from the door with a candle in that person's hand. The person walked towards him and sat down in front of him as Wang Lei's eyes were getting shut when he felt that person softly touching his face. The touch seem familiar yet he was unable to recognise it...Wang Lei thought when he was picked up very carefully and that person walked off.

He was standing leaning on the wall as he was staring at the unconscious Wang Lei. His robe was all opened as he had cleaned up his wounded and put a white bandage on his stomach. His eyes were closed and he stares at all the other wounds and scars on his body.

'You have been standing all day like this looking at him...are you not tried?' His aunt Anhe said as she entered inside with soup in her hand and saw him standing in the same position.

'I am seeing him after years...I have no idea if he will let him look at him when he will be all conscious.' He replied as he sighed and his aunt looked at him pitifully

'He would not after what you have done to him...Ru Qin, you betrayed him the way no one else did. He ordered your killing and thinks you are dead. He would be shocked to see you alive as well.' His aunt said and Ru Qin looked towards her as he spoke up

'Well, it's easy to bribe the police to let go of me...That time he did not even want to see my dead body hence it was easy to fool him that I am dead.' Ru Qin said as he looked back at him with eyes full of love and care.

'What do you want to do now, Ru Qin?' Anhe asked as she looked at him as well

'I will get him back...I will get whatever punishment he will give him if in return he is ready to accept me back...I was a fool and young back then so I choose to betray him. I regretted that decision all my life and finally, gained the courage to come back since living without him is unbearable for me.' Ru Qin said as he put behind his silver hair and his aunt looked at her nephew's beauty. He was an extremely good-looking man with tough physicians and sharp features. He had broad shoulders with silver long hair and a black mole on his chin.

'But will he accept you back? His wife is pregnant and there are rumours that his new male poor concubine is actually his lover. Does he have space in his heart as much you have in your heart?' Anhe asked and she saw his expression changing from soft to cold as he glared at her. 

'He is not his lover...He can never fall in love with someone else other than me...I am his first and forever love just the way he is mine...His wife is pregnant not an issue since I knew he did it as a duty and he will forget about that poor whore since he probably is my placement anyway.' Ru Qin said as he clenched his fist with anger and his aunt decided not to ask anything further to make him angry.

'Are you going to stay or will be going?' Anhe asked changing the topic

'I will be going and don't let him know about me. I will meet you soon and you take care of him because if something happens to him then I can even kill you...for his life, I can be ruthless and evil to anyone.' Ru Qin said that his aunt shiver due to fear for her life as she turned over and quickly walked out leaving food for Wang Lei behind. Ru Qin picked up the soup and walked toward his bed and he down beside him. He looked toward him he softly opened his mouth and put some soup in his mouth to give him some strength so he could wake up.

'Weiwei...' Wang Lei softly whispered as he got hold of his hand and Ru Qin felt the warmth of his hand, but the name he heard rolling off from his tongue filled his heart with anger and hate. He just took his hand out and feed him more soup when he heard him.

'Weiwei...'

'Stop taking his name, Lei...Otherwise, I am going to kill that motherfucker if you will take his name one more time.' Ru Qin whispered as he stared at him. Even though he was taking his name, he knew he can never hurt Wang Lei, but he definitely will hurt the person he kept calling his name out to. Ru Qin looked at his pale face and short hair as he whispered

'I heard you cut your hair for that whore...Once I am back, I will see how that slut will keep his place in your life. Just wait for me Lei I will give back everything I took from you.' Ru Qin whispered hatefully imagining Huang Dewei whom he had never seen or met except heard about him yet he was already jealous of him. 

He fed him the rest of the soup with care and love as he finished off the bowl and put it away. He inspected his wound one time and then he looked towards him and slowly touched his face. He really missed him and he can't wait to meet him again. He was planning to meet him, but it will take some more time. He wanted to be strong and confident before he could meet him because he knew earning his forgiveness will not be easy. With one last gaze, he turned over and walked out.

After a few hours, late in the morning just before noon, Wang Lei's eyes opened as he tried to sit down in bed but he hissed. He looked at his stomach and he touched and felt pain. He was confused and sat up as he looked around when an old lady with white hair and weak-looking bones walked inside. She bowed and greeted him.

'I am happy to see you, awake son.' The old lady said and Wang Lei just nodded his head. She probably did not recognise him since he was not in his Emperor's attire while Anhe knew he was Emperor but she was pretending he was not. Ru Qin told her that he was Emperor but she can't let him know about him. Otherwise, the poor nation hardly knows how their Emperor look unless they work around him. It was not like their era have a television which would broadcast everything and anything.

'Who brings me here?' Wang Lei asked as he closed his robe and stood up from the bed

'My son did. He found you unconscious. We called the doctor and he did all that for you.' The woman said as she lied without letting him know that Ru Qin did everything while Wang Lei nodded his head. Then he put his hand in his inside pocket and took out a pouch filled with gold coins and gave it to Anhe.

'Thank you for your help. That is your reward. Don't let anyone else know about it.' Wang Lei ordered and Anhe nodded her head as she took a huge amount of money with surprised and greed-filled eyes while Wang Lei picked up his stuff and walked out. He was not fully healed but he hide it well and he would pretend he was fine. He covered his face and walked back to the palace. He jumped down the wall and as he took a few steps someone stopped in front of him. Wang Leo looked up as he met Feng Zhi's eyes.

'Your highness, thank you you are alive and safe. I look for you everywhere.' Feng Zhi said happily as he bowed down and greeted him

'Did you catch that man?' Wang Lei asked straight away without caring about his condition

'No, I could not.' Feng Zhi replied disappointed and Wang Lei sighed

'Well, first you need to change. No one could find you so everyone is worried now. Think of an excuse as well.' Feng Zhi said as he passed down a pile of clothes to him which were his Emperor clothes. He wondered how long Feng Zhi was waiting for him.

'Why? No one else ever cares before. I sometimes went missing before as well and they never ask them what's changed now. They always believed that I went out to get fresh air and will come back.' Wang Lei said as he got hold of the clothes. The day he heard the news of his mother's death, he went missing for a night and they found him in the field crying. After that many times due to his secret mission, he comes home late and he always just says he went to have some alone time to get some fresh air and no one ever questioned him. In the start, his father used to ask sometime but then he stopped asking as well. When he was young he used to go and actually spend some alone time with himself, but since that secret mission started he never gets time to go anywhere, but still, whenever he comes home late, he made the same excuse but mostly no one never asks.

'Well, it's...' Feng Zhi trailer down as he stretches his head to think hard about how to explain

'It's Huang Dewei, is not?' Wang Lei said as he saw him confused and Feng Zhi looked up as nodded his head.

'Yes, he is going crazy thinking that someone kidnapped or murdered you. He does not believe that you went somewhere by yourself and will come back without taking him with you.' Feng Zhi explained and Wang Lei sighed

'Well, let's go and I hope I will be able to convince him without breaking his trust.' Wang Lei said as he moved towards a hidden corner at the side and started changing his clothes. Feng Zhi looked away as he spoke up

'Are you going to tell him everything?'Feng Zhi asked

'No.' Wang Lei replied as he was changing his clothes carefully not to touch his wound and made it bleed. Then it will be hard to cover up for himself.

'Then what will you say?' Feng Zhi asked curiously because he have seen panicked Huang Dewei who was not easy to fool

'I know how to deal with him.' Wang Lei said as he was finished wearing his clothes, he gave him his old blood-filled clothes, then walked off. Feng Zhi quickly followed him.
