Third Person's POV
After Xander gave Abigail clothes, they headed back downstairs so she could talk to her brother. She had so many questions, and became eager to see him as they made their way down the stairs.
As they made their way to the bottom of the stairs, Abigail instantly spotted Aiden standing near the door, awkwardly.
Aiden stood there looking around, not quite sure what to do. He had so many thoughts going through his head, one of them was Thaddeus. Why did his wolf look so sad? Seeing his wolf drop his head then turn and walk away... for some reason it broke his heart.
He couldn't figure it out. Aiden tried to think what could have possibly happened? He wondered where the Alpha went? And when he would come back?
His thoughts then shifted to the white wolf. 'I have a sister!' He thought, as he began to play the events back in his head. Remembering the terrified look in the wolf eyes as it looked at him. Remembering how its eye color seemed to change and began to glow. Remembering how his own eyes felt as though they were doing the same thing.
Every little detail kept running through his head. Hearing her voice, when she said, "I'm Abigail, I'm your sister!"
Where had she been all this time? Why couldn't he remember her? Do they have other family members? What about parents, a father, a mother, or dad? Or did something happen to them?
He heard a noise outside and jumped. Aiden looked out the window next to the door, and was relieved it was just a pack member walking past, heading towards the tree line.
He looked around, wondering if he should even be standing here? He wasn't certain where he should be now. No one told him where he should go, or what he should do.
He wondered if He should go back up to the room? Or maybe he wasn't allowed to go to the room anymore... Maybe the Alpha wants him in the basement now... That thought had Aiden chewing on his lip and playing with his fingers. He shifted from foot to foot, trying to think what he should do.

But before he even had a chance to figure it out, he looked up when he heard footsteps at the bottom of the stairs.
Abigail ran to Aiden, throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him.
"I'm so happy I found you!" She whispered, as she hugged him.
Aiden wasn't sure what to say, so he simply said nothing and hugged her back.
As she hugged him, she suddenly remembered what she felt all those years when she had no idea where he was...
Aiden isn't just her brother, Aiden is her twin. They share a special connection, she felt every single time he was hurt.
She immediately pulled back, then began looking him over, trying to make sure he was okay.
She remembered all the times he felt as if he was near death. When she felt his life line, that connection they shared slipping away.
And one of those times was quite recently. She had only felt him that close to death one other time, and this time she thought for sure she was going to lose him before she could find and save him.
And since he's standing here, inside this pack, tells her he must have been hurt here.
Abigail's head immediately snaps in the direction of her mate.
Abigail glared at Xander, then growled at him.
He cocked an eyebrow at her and tilted his head, confused by her sudden change. But also slightly turned on by this new fierce side.
"Is this who's been hurting you Aiden?" Abigail asked, glaring at her mate before looking back at Aiden.
"Wh-what do you mean?" Aiden stammered out, confused by her question.
"Don't lie for him! I felt every time you were hurt... every time someone hurt you. I felt every time you were so close to death!" She said, feeling her eyes sting and burn as tears began to fill them.
"Is he responsible for this? Don't lie!" She said, feeling a tear roll down her cheek as she pointed at her mate while looking at her brother.
"N-no!" Aiden replied. Nervous by the tone in her voice. And slightly afraid she might hurt her mate. He's never seen a female so angry before. He's never seen one that looked like she was ready to rip her own mate apart.

Abigail found it hard to believe what her brother said. She knew she felt him almost die just a few weeks ago. It had to happen here since this is where he's at.
And the way he speaks, his stuttering... Is he stuttering because he's afraid? Is he stuttering because these assholes are mean to him and he's afraid of them?
She stalked towards Xander, jamming her finger in his chest as she spoke.
"I don't care if you're my mate. I will fucking kill you if you're responsible for hurting my brother, or if you had any part in it!"
Any arousal he had to her fierce side instantly left when he realized she thinks he hurt Aiden.
"No one here has hurt him. We just found him almost a month ago floating down the river, he was almost dead!"
Xander said, then brought his hands up and placed them on her arms. Moving his hands up and down her arms in a soothing manner, as he continued to talk to her.
"No one here would ever hurt him. We found him floating down the river unconscious. He was badly beaten and close to death.
Trust me, we were just as angry as you are at whoever did that to him. It's a tough pill to swallow, when you find your Luna, floating down the river like that."
Xander said, and Abigail's eyes went wide.
"Luna?" Abigail asked, then looked back at Aiden, shocked and confused.
"Yes, your brother is my Alpha's mate. And he was devastated when we found him like that." Xander said.
"Thaddeus has taken care of him, he's been by his side this whole time. He'll never let anyone hurt Aiden again. Thaddeus, he's a great Alpha!" Xander said.
Abigail let out a shaky breath as the relief washed over her. The relief that her mate isn't the one responsible for this, and neither is this pack.
"I'm sorry for my outburst. It's just, I felt every time they hurt him.
They hurt him a lot and they hurt him so bad at times!... I can't tell you how many times I felt him on the brink of death and I couldn't do anything about it. I didn't know where he was and I couldn't find him." Abigail said, her voice cracking before she broke down crying at the end.
Xander instantly pulled her into his arms, before leaning down and lifting her up, pulling her against him tighter.
"He's okay now, we found him and he's safe. We won't let anything happen to him again." Xander said.
Aiden stood there, listening to everything she said. Watching her reactions, hearing the tone of her voice, then hearing her breakdown and cry. Hearing that she felt every time he was hurt, every time he was near death...
Funny thing is, Aiden never realized he was actually close to death. He thought he was simply hurt again. It was just another beating, another mistake that he made, that earned him his punishment. A punishment he deserved for messing up and making the Alpha angry... At least that's what he always thought.
A few moments later, Abigail looked over her shoulder, and Xander could tell she wanted to go to him so he set her down.
She immediately ran to Aiden, pulling him into her arms and crying again.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't find you. I'm so sorry I couldn't help when you needed me the most." She said, and it took everything Aiden had not to cry. He felt his eyes sting and burn as the tears filled them. He squeezed her tighter and pressed his face into her neck. He took a deep breath in, taking his sister's scent in for the first time.
They stayed like that for a few moments, until they both calmed down, then slowly pulled apart. Abigail's hand slid down Aiden's arms till she gripped his hands.
"My goddess, I'm so incredibly happy I found you!" She said, letting go of his hands to wipe her face.
"Come on, let's go sit down on the couch and wait for the Alpha to come back, then we can have lunch." Xander said.
