She couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned at twisted herself between her blankets, yet sleep wouldn't come. After a while of constant writhing she fell out of the bed and onto the cold marble floor, still tangled in the sheets.

Glaring at the bed above her, she untangled herself from the blanket and decided to take a walk.

She surveyed her robe and decided that there was absolutely no way she would step out in that, and so pulling on some pants and a chemise, she stepped out of her room and into the hallway.

Just then, Nicholas stumbled out of Alices' room, sighing and rubbing his hand against his eyes.

He was just about to go back to his room when he saw Eliza and his eyes widened.

"What are you doing up so late?", he asked.

"I could ask you the same thing......", she replied coldly.

"Well, erm, I was just consoling her. It has been an exhilarating day for all of us."

"Listen, I hope your not angry with me.", he said.

That stopped Eliza right in her tracks. "Why on earth would I be angry with you? I frankly couldn't care less about what you did. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm heading out for a walk. Alone."

Eliza continued without a backward look, but she could practically feel his eyes on the back of her neck.

Well too bad for him. Was he seriously expecting her to care?

Well, Eliza couldn't care less. She had things to do. Very very important things.

She ran down the stairs and landed in the ballroom. After a quick moment she decided to go outside through the open balcony.

Her reverie was broken off by a scream. It was shrill and feminine and was coming from a right. Breaking out into a run, Eliza followed the sound, only to come across Leah and the man from the lighthouse with a gun to her head.

"Oh dear."
