Hange:"Yahoooo!"

Moblit:"Captain! Please be careful of your surroundings!"

Hange:"Oh, you worry-wart! I'm fine, see?"

Out of the blue, another titan appeared behind her nearly biting her in half. It would have happened if it weren't for Din.

Hange:"Woah!!"

Din:"He's right, be careful."

Hange:"W-well, haha!" Din just looked at her and she felt the disappointment come hard.

Hange:"Leave me alone! I was having fun and I would've had my friend taken care of too, and you know it!"

Din:"Sure, I'll be checking on other squads if you need me. Let's clear the city of any stragglers." With that being said, Din took off into the air once again.

Simultaneously, Mikasa landed on the same roof top, missing her father by seconds.

She immediately looked to her left and spotted her favorite person.

Hange:"Mika!!!" She jumped into her arms and gave her a hug.

Mikasa:"Hange! I'm happy to see you're doing well!"

Hange:"Oh, look at you. You've grown into a beautiful young lady. You just missed Din, he's currently going from squad to squad and checking on them."

Moblit:"Captain, I'm sure you would like to catch up on some things but we're still in the middle of an operation!"

Hange:"I know that! Come with us, Mikasa, I know you just graduated not long ago but I'm sure you can handle yourself."

Mikasa:"I can't, dad will get angry. I'm not even supposed to be here with you guys."

Hange:"Oh it's fine, I'll just come up with an excuse if he says anything. Don't fall behind!" Moblit and Hange both took off to continue the fight.

Mikasa looked at them then behind her, she didn't want to leave Armin and Eren but she really wanted to join the operation. Following her will to fight, she took off to join them.

Din:"What the hell were you thinking?"

Levi:"You could have gotten her killed, moron."

Hange:"But she did fine! She killed far more titans than any other Scout. She could even give you a run for your money in the future, Shorty!" She explained. Din didn't like her little joke at the end so he went up and grabbed her violently.

Din:"She isn't your kid, is she? You didn't raise her, did you?"

Hange:"N-no."

Din:"So then don't bullshit me and then add a little joke at the end of your excuse. If she would have died, I would have killed you and fed you to the titans without batting an eye."

Hange:"She did fine if that's what you were worrying about."

Mikasa:"Dad, stop it!" She went up and grabbed his arms, pulling him away.

Levi:"Want time alone?"

Din:"Please."

Levi grabbed Hange and took her away to give him some space. Mikasa was already worried beforehand but she didn't think he'd react like this.

Mikasa:"She didn't drag me along if that's what you think. I chose to tag along."

Din:"Why? What if you had gotten hurt?"

Mikasa:"I...um, don't know."

Din:"Look kid, I trust you can handle yourself no matter the situation. You only need to think of the consequences beforehand. This wasn't so bad given our environment but out there, be careful."

Mikasa:"I'm sorry..."

Din:"Don't be, let's go."

Mikasa:"Go where?"

Din:"See Carla, Frieda, and the old man. To make sure they're doing fine."

Mikasa:"What about Armin and Eren?"

Din:"They're fine. Levi told me that Armin is being questioned by the MP's and Eren is being kept somewhere we don't know. Did you know though?"

Mikasa:"No, nobody did. We all thought he died during the first moments but then he came out of the titan with his limbs in tact. Armin explained to us how he lost an arm and a leg."

Din:"I see, where did you get this?" Raising his arm up, he touched the scar that ran across her right cheek.

Mikasa:"Eren...attacked me when he transformed into the titan. But he regained control of it and that's when he plugged the gate."

Din:"Weird, being able to control one of those things. Then again, just about everything in this place is still weird to me."

The two arrived on the main street and found many citizens returning back to the city. The street was not as busy but still, to find three people in a large crowd would surely be difficult for the two.

Din:"This will take some time."

???:"Mommy, mommy, look! It's the nice lady that helped us!" A little girl called the two out and pointed their way.

Mother:"Oh it is! Thank you for saving us at the gate earlier. If not for your efforts, a lot of people would have died."

Mikasa:"Of course, it's my duty to protect the citizens." Din looked at them and wondered what she had done to earn such praise. The mother then looked over at the armored man, wondering who he was.

Mother:"Is this your friend?"

Mikasa:"No, he's my father."

Daughter:"Shiny!"

Mother:"She's a fantastic young lady, I'm sure you must be proud of her! She's saved us from a terrible fate."

Din:"I'm grateful to hear that, thank you." The mother and her child then walked on after thanking their savior.

Din:"What happened?"

Mikasa:"A selfish man blocked off the only evacuation point with his carts. A titan managed to get past the vanguard and even the reserves, I followed it and killed it in time to save them all."

Din:"You did good."

Mikasa:"Thank you." She gave him a smile for his praise.

Din:"Well, let's see if we can find them. I don't have much time to be out here all day."

Mikasa:"You have to return?"

Din:"Of course, I came here without permission. I'm sure the Scouts are getting ready to depart soon. You'll be coming with me as well. I'll have Erwin make you a Scout since you finished training. You'll be by my side until then."
