《The Mandalorian of Attack On Titan.》Chapter 19

???:"Eren holds the Attack Titan, this changes things."
???:"How? We still have a mission to accomplish and with the Scouts upping their weaponry, our time is now even more limited."
???:"I could try and use my power within their ranks to cause a diversion, then you guys can snatch him."
???:"Like hell we will, we will need to find out if the King still has the Founding Titan. So far nothing has across my interests regarding that. I feel like someone else must have it."
???:"Continue your mission within the walls, we will continue ours within the Scouts. If we get any word regarding a possible mission going outside the walls, we'll let you know."
???:"...Fine."
The three hooded individuals all got up and left but not without a warning from one of them.
???:"Mikasa's father, be careful going against him. We don't know what else he's hiding."
???:"Understood."
___________
"Eren?"
'Huh? Who's that?'
"Little brat isn't even responding, how polite of him."
'Huh?'
"Knock it off, I'm sure the kid's still knocked out."
The rattling of chains caught the three's attention. Eren started to slowly but surely awaken from his slumber. He looked drowsy, trying to regain his bearing by looking around at his surroundings.
Eren:"Wh-"
Erwin:"Before you say anything, let me fill you in on what happened after the battle..."
Erwin then explained the majority of what happened afterwards when Levi found Eren and his friends. Titan cleanup, military retrieving bodies of the fallen, and humanity shaken after another town nearly fell once again.
Din:"That about sums it up. Eren, do you remember anything at all? Anything when Levi got there?"
Eren:"I-I don't, I'm sorry..."
Levi:"Not gonna ask him how he struck your kid?"
Din:"No."
Eren:"Wait, what!?"
Erwin:*Ahem* "Eren, I'm sure you have questions of your own and I'm more than happy to answer them."
Eren:"Where am I?"
Erwin:"A dungeon, you're under the authority of the Military Police. We were given a few moments to speak with you and ask questions. More specifically, this key that was around your neck."
Eren:"Ah!"
Erwin:"I know, it's yours but I'm assuming this is the key to discovering more about the titans, correct?"
Eren:"That's what my father said."
Erwin:"Eren, I'll be blunt, I want you on our side to help us free humanity of this nightmare. This key will perhaps help us far more than we will ever hope for. What do you say?"

Eren:"I...I..."
Levi:"Answer already, trash, what is it you're trying to accomplish?"
Eren:"I want to enter the Survey Corps and kill all the titans!" He responded gritting his teeth.
Levi:"Impressive, Erwin, I'll take him. It's not like I trust him but if he were to lose control of himself, I'd be the best suited to kill him on the spot. Don't you agree, Din? You're feelings for this scum would hold you back." Levi looked back at Din to which the latter never responded to his question.
Eren:"Din..."
Erwin:"Then it's settled, the rest will be up to you, Eren. When the time comes, speak your mind and tell them how you feel. Until then, stay safe Eren."
Erwin and Levi both walked out the dungeon door while Din stayed back. Eren looked at the man take a seat in front of the bars.
Din:"Your mother's worried about you, she's been asking me where you were when I went to see her yesterday."
Eren:"So she made it out?"
Din:"And Frieda, and Armin's grandfather. They made it but now they're back in town helping others rebuild."
Eren:"Captain Levi mentioned I hit Mikasa, is that true?"
Din:"It is, I'm not angry though. I'm just curious to know if you're doing well, I heard about what happened when they arrested you. Armin is brave for how he stood up for you like that but foolish."
Eren:"He's my friend, I'd do the same if he was in my position."
Din:"Yeah, I know."
MP:"I'm sorry sir but it's time for you to leave." An MP interrupted their chat so Din had to cut it short.
Din:"Well, I'll hopefully see you soon Eren. Like Erwin said, when the time comes, speak your thoughts."
Eren:"Thank you, Din."
__________
Eren:'How am I supposed to speak my mind after getting beaten up!?' He thought.
The following day, Eren was brought before a jury in court to decide his fate. Many wanted him killed off while very few wanted to exploit his powers for humanity. Erwin was one of those people who saw that Eren's titan ability could prove useful in the foreseeable future.
People bickering back and forth nonstop caused Eren to explode with anger creating fear unto those who judged him. That's when Captain Levi came in and started to him to show everyone he would be the one to kill him if need be. Din started to make his way towards Eren was well, pulling the hilt from his belt.

Levi pulled Eren's head up by his own hair which allowed Din to point the Dark Saber right at his neck. Eren could feel the intense heat from the saber nearly stabbing his neck. The entirety of the room went dead silent at this display.
Din:"Levi and I are more than capable of taking him down should he turn. But could the same be said for any one of you? Could you kill a titan, do you have any experience killing them? I'm still new to this place but killing has always been something I'm confident in doing. Choice is yours."
Zachary:"Mhm, the Scouts have a point. Captain Levi, Din, can I trust you both to watch over Eren Jaeger? That is, until he has proven his usefulness for humanity." He asked. Levi and Din looked at one another and nodded.
Levi:"We can take him if that's what you want."
Zachary:"Very well then, Eren Jaeger is to be placed under the direct command of Captain Levi and Din. The Scouts will continue with their plan of retaking Shinganshina with his help. Dismissed."
The sound of the gavel signified the dismissal of the court. Eren was taken by the Scouts, mainly Hange, Levi, and Erwin, while Din stayed behind.
Walking amongst the crowd leaving the building, someone went up to Din and shoved him. Nearly drawing his blaster, he turned to see an angered Carla.
Din:"Carla? What are you doing here?"
Carla:"I was there, how could you say those things of killing Eren!? Have you lost your mind!? He's my son!" She yelled with tears building up.
Din:"I have an explanation for that, come with me." He reached for her arm but she reeled back.
Carla:"NO! You tell me right this instant what you had in mind!"
Din:"Carla, I can't say that out here."
Carla:"Why!?" She pressed on.
Looking around at the curious onlookers, Din had no choice but to sweep her off her feet and jetpack into the air. This action scared the daylights out of Carla but he needed to calm her down.
Carla:"Hya! Put me down!!"
Din:"I will when you calm down and listen to reasoning."
Carla:"Fine!" Agreeing in the end, Din went to the top of the wall and set her down.
Carla:"So, care to explain?"
Din:"They would have executed Eren if they got their hands on him. The MP's don't want him and neither does the Garrison. They're all afraid knowing there's now a titan among them, one that can transform at any given time. So, Levi talked me into putting on a show of force that way everyone can see we can control him. I wouldn't kill the kid but Levi definitely will, so, I'm there to try and reason with him if anything happens."
Carla couldn't find the right words to say after hearing his explanation. They stayed quiet waiting for the other to speak first with the occasional breeze blowing by.
Din:"If I could have found another way of protecting him then I would have. But this was the only option that was presented to me without having to do anything unnecessary."
Carla:"No, no, I understand. Thank you, for thinking about him so much, it means a lot."
Din:"Of course."
Carla walked up to Din, slowly reaching up to his helmet to see him. When she touched his cold helmet, he gently grabbed her hands to prevent his face being seen.
Din:"I'm sorry, I can't let you do that."
Carla:"Why?"
Din:"It's something I live by, a creed. No living thing has ever seen me without my helmet since I swore the creed."
Carla:"Do you ever intend on showing Mikasa in the future? What if she wants to see how her father looks like?"
Din:"I...I hadn't thought of that yet."
Carla:"Fufu, it's alright because one day I know she'll see you for who you are. A father always bends to their daughters wishes."
Din:"I hope you're kidding."
Carla:"If only it were so." She giggled.
The setting sun with the wind blowing made it so to where Din was mesmerized by her beauty. He finally realized what these feelings were, feelings of love.
Din:"Carla?"
Carla:"Hm?"
Din:"Have you ever thought of remarrying?" He asked.
Carla:"Well, no I haven't. Why?"
Before he could answer, a Scout interrupted the two with urgent news for Din. He was being recalled back to rejoin Levi and his squad to leave immediately with Eren. Saddened by the news, Carla understood he had his mission to attend to and asked to be returned back home.

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
