All I see is a unlit Christmas tree, your favorite mug filled with hot chocolate sitting next to me. I'm trying my best to be in the spirit but it's so hard without you here.
Merry Christmas, another year gone by, a lot of things have changed since you've said goodbye. Mountains are beautifully dusted with snow, houses shining in the night with Christmas lights. Yet it doesn't seem so joyful this time around when I can't spend this time with you.
This used to be my favorite time of the year. Getting excited when it snowed, jingle bells softly playing in the background while we decorate the tree. But I miss you the most when it snows, reminding me of all the fun times I can never do again.
So merry Christmas, happy new year. Another year passed but I'm still in the past with the memory of you looking so lifeless and dull. Wishing for good news that never got delivered.
This Christmas is different, not so happy and joyful. Wish I could say it was the opposite but some things don't go our way.
