"I'm sorry for making you come with me, Tadashi-kun" Ayame apologized as soon as they retrieved her sketchpad from their resting area, which she forgot to put inside her bag again after their match against Shiratorizawa.
Yamaguchi notes that Ayame may be a genius but she can be pretty forgetful of her things sometimes. All the more the reason you can't leave her alone.
"I told you it's okay, Ayame" He said while they hurried back to their teammates "Actually, I was the one that decided to go with you. I don't want us to have another fight, that's why..."
He was mumbling his last sentence but Ayame heard him and recalled the last time they fought because of that one time she was being hit on by Johzenji's captain and friend and didn't tell him.
"Me too..."
"Eh?"
"I don't want to have another fight with you" She stopped running, which prompted him to stop as well "After all, the only person I like is you, Tadashi-kun"
Her smile and her words nearly made his heart explode, which made him cover his red face with his arm in embarrassment.
"Uwaaa... for you to say something like that all of a sudden is bad for my heart..."
"Eh?"
"Oh? Isn't that Cutie-chan?"
Their attention snapped to Oikawa walking to them with Iwaizume behind him. The setter has his usual confident smile on his face as he looked at them while the ace has a sorry-about-that-but-I'll-punch-this-guy-if-he-annoys-you look.
"Ah, Ayame-chan! Fancy seeing you here" he smiled at her before noticing the freckled teen "Oh? So this your boyfriend, right? I finally got to meet the guy Ayame-chan likes up close. Nice to meet you, pinch server-kun"
"A-Ah, hai..."
"Did he just call me pinch server-kun? I guess... he somehow acknowledged me during the semifinals..."

Yamaguchi sweat dropped when Oikawa was observing him closely before saying "I'm still more handsome than him, though. Why Ayame-chan wasn't charmed by my beauty, I wonder..."
Apparently, the violet eyed girl was miffed by the comment.
"That's not true at all!" Ayame huffed and placed her hand on her waist "Oikawa-san is handsome but Tadashi-kun is 100 times more handsome and cuter than him!"
Cue the thunder-stuck Oikawa.
"Pfft!!" Iwaizume was stifling his laugh.
"E-Eh?!" Yamaguchi was blushing beet red as he waved his arms in a flustered manner. "T-That's not true at all! Everyone can see that Oikawa-san is a lot more handsome than me!"
She pouted. "But for me, Tadashi-kun is more handsome than Oikawa-san. I don't care what everyone else's says. Your freckles make you look really cute and it really suits you. You are more handsome and cuter than him."
The freckled teen could feel his cheeks heating up in embarrassment from the compliment "Ah, geez... sometimes, you being straightforward is not good for my heart..."
Meanwhile, Oikawa was still under his shock while Iwaizume was laughing at his comically shocked face.
"Oh man" He grinned evilly and took out his phone "Can't wait to tell Hanamaki and Matsukawa about this"
"Iwa-chan, why do you have to be so cruel to me?!?!"
