Catboo sprinted towards (y/n) as fast as possible, with Tubbo chasing behind him. Luckily for Mark, due to his size and now impeccable balance, he found it much easier to weave through the crowd of people.
He was almost to (y/n) when Tubbo caught up to him and picked him up. Catboo was squirming around, trying his best to get Tubbo to drop him.
"What are you doing with my cousin's ESA," Jack shouted.
He and Ben had saw what was going on and the crumpled up (y/n) sitting on the ground, and ran over to help.
"ESA," Tubbo asked, shocked.
"Yeah! Now give Catboo back! (y/n) needs him," Ben said with a sense of urgency in her voice.
"Look, I- I can't," Tubbo said. "He's my best friend and I can't..."
I'm at an all time
At that moment, Mark made a choice. He decided that his humanity didn't matter as much as the panicking (y/n). He decided that he wasn't going to go with Tubbo, and possibly get back to the magic lady.
Mark felt really bad about his next action, but Tubbo wouldn't let him go any other way.
He dug his claws deep into Tubbo's hand.

Instinctually Tubbo dropped Catboo and cradled the injured hand.
Catboo raced over to (y/n) and got straight to work.
First he gently headbutted their chin to focus their attention on him. Then he began to loosen up their shirt so they didn't feel trapped. Then he gently booped their nose and where their lungs were, reminding them to breathe.
Unlike other times, he started licking up the salty tears from their cheeks and started making biscuits on their legs knowing they liked that feeling.

(y/n) began to pet Catboo, and he started purring. They began to calm down, and Catboo layed down on their lap.
"Thank you Catboo," (y/n) murmered.
Catboo meowed, and Jack helped (y/n) stand up. By now the song had ended and the shouts finished, and Jack ushered (y/n) into a familiar alley.
"You have some explaining to do," Ben said, dragging Tubbo into the alley with them.
"Hey, Catboo's vest and collar is on the ground," Jack pointed out.
(y/n) picked them up and kneeled to the ground. Catboo sat in front of them, and gave a little meow. When (y/n) put the red service animal vest on him, he puffed out his chest in pride again.
(y/n) picked him up and looked at Tubbo.
"Spill. Why did you try to take (y/n)'s ESA," Ben demanded.
"What's an ESA," Tubbo asked.
"An emotional support animal. Now, tell us why!"
Ben was clearly pissed off that Tubbo wasn't answering her.
"Were you Catboo's first owner," (y/n) asked quietly.
