《Mrs.Heroic [MAGI X BHNA CROSSOVER]》Chapter 12

Nezu paced back and forth in the large office.
Unlike him stood Morgiana, her face smoothed as stone, her body slack as her mind was a mess still trying to understand the entirety of this situation.
It's impossible! He-he's not supposed to be alive! I've watched him die! He was buried alive!
But did she truly see anything if she left the crumbling dungeon before she saw any real damage?
Morgiana wasn't so sure.....
She clasped her slightly trembling hand, eyes cold as she remembered the days.
Remembered what he's done to her.
His eyes were cruel and his smile was wicked as he watched her scream out in pain- he enjoyed watching her grovel beneath his feet in hopes of forgiveness.
Then he embraces her, like a brother would- his voice filled with gentleness as he spoke to her.
"It's for your own good."
And she would nod in acceptance. As long as she did everything and anything he asked for, all would be alright.
She felt safe when he was kind like this. Kind. Gentle.
And his lips would frown and the hallways would be filled with her screams once again-
"-ana! Morgiana! MORGIANA!"
"H-huh? Ye-yes?" Her voice slightly cracked.
Nezu frowned seeing her straighten her poster, her eyes widened in alarm, and her hand, although hidden, shaking slightly.
"Morgiana are you alright?"
Morgiana froze.
No ones ever asked her if she was alright.
They knew of her situation, and sure they may not know the details- but it's the same story.
A story of a slave was common.
Morgiana's lips trembled- trying to find the right words, she pressed them into a thin line when she couldn't find any.
She shook her head.
'I'm not alright.'
Nezu gave her a hug and Morgiana bent down to return the hug, her hand slightly gripping the soft white fur.
Nezu simply patted her on the back.
"It's alright- I promise nothing will happen to you."
The red-heads eyes filled with tears, gripping the bear slightly harder as small droplets fell.
Small sniffles could be heard from the room.
Todoroki stood outside the principals office, his fist slightly clenching as he heard the quiet sniffles.
He wasn't entirely sure what they were talking about.
It seems as though Morgiana is running away from someone, Perhaps hiding....
And it seems as though the principals knows who it is, and is keeping her from being taken.
Todoroki eyes blazed slightly.
Whatever it is.... I'll figure it out.
He got up from the wall he was leaning on before heading to the cafeteria.
Nezu looked down to the sleeping girl.
After she finally stopped crying she ended up falling asleep.
"She must've been exhausted...." Nezu quietly whispered as he looked back towards the article the girl brought.
Eyes hardening as he read it over.
If he was this crazy from a singular appearance.... how would he be all the time?
The paper crumpled in his hand as he thought of it.
What could she possibly went through to become so.....
He remembered as her eyes widened in fear, and her body automatically went straight as he yelled out her name.
It's like it was drilled into her head that, that was how she was supposed to react.
Like a scared animal.
Moving away from the teen girl Nezu pulled out his laptop as he searched for anything and all things related to this article.
But oddly enough... there was nothing.
Other than that singular article that was repeated and even revised, there wasn't anything else about this man.
No pictures, no videos.
It's like he popped into existence for that singular story before disappearing again.
But Nezu remembered the day the man came to be, how he was on the news for about a week, his face everywhere.
But now that very face is fuzzy in his mind....
Odd....
"mmh..."
Nezu glanced over at the girl from behind his laptop "have you woken up?"
He slightly chuckled seeing her flustered.
"I'm sorry for sleeping-" her eyes glanced towards the window seeing how the sky wasn't as bright as it was when she came earlier.
"I missed Sir.Heros class!"
Nezu waved her off "don't worry, I told him that you were with me going over the schools handbook."
Morgiana let out a soft sigh.
"Speaking of which, Morgiana where do you live? Last time you came to pick up your uniform instead of us sending it to your home."
Morgiana stayed quiet. "....I live by the ocean."
Nezu paused. As far as he knows there isn't a house close enough to the beach that is close to U.A.- unless she was talking about the recently cleaned beach that just opened up to the locals recently.
However. There hasn't been any construction for houses in that area- and there isn't homes available for her to inhabit.
"Morgiana.... do you live in a house?"
Morgiana shook her head "I live where the sand is."
Nezu paused.
"....so you're homeless."
"..." Morgiana opted not to speak.
"Do you at least have money to buy food?"
Morgianas head tilted in confusion as she replied "why would I need money if the ocean is abundant with free fish?"
Nezu couldn't help but gape "you're supposed to have a license for that!"
Morgiana stared blankly at the mammal "....oh."
Nezu simply let out a sigh before ringing up a certain pro.
A few moments later the tired pro opened the door to his office.
"Principal Nezu? You called."
"Yes. Aizawa-San, I have a favor to ask regarding Morgiana."
The pro glanced at the red-head, her eyes slightly unnerving him as he still couldn't read what she could be thinking about with those crimson eyes.
"Morgiana? What did she do?"
"More like what she didn't do.."
The scruffy pro raised a brow.
"Basically Morgiana is homeless, and i was hoping If it's alright for her to stay with you until we can figure out her housing plans."
Aizawa stared blankly at the rat ".....do I get extra pay?"
Nezu let out a sigh "yes. You get enough pay for you to house another human being."
The pro nodded his head "then I see no problem."
"Ah- also can you give her extra lessons? Since you know of her situation and her lack of... education- it'll be nice if you tried to help her catch up with her other peers."
The tired man let out a sigh before nodding.
"Cmon Morgiana, let's go."
The red head bowed. "Thank you for taking me in."
The older man simply hummed before leaving the room, the teen not far behind.
The next day Morgiana and Aizawa rode in the same vehicle to school.

Morgiana gripped the seatbelt a little tighter- not used to riding in such transportation.
Aizawa simply glanced at the girl before continuing to drive in silence.
Once they arrived to the school they shared similar blank looks at the hoard of reporters crowding the gates of the school, as well as crowding individual students.
Most were flustered at the sudden overwhelming amounts of people crowding them, like Midoriya.
And then you have people like ilda- who seemed used to reporters and responding back to their questions in a precise manor.
And then you have people like todoroki that simply walked passed them without giving them so much as a glance, causing the reporters to deflate at the bleak reaction.
And lastly you have Bakugo. Bakugo was simply being Bakugo to the point that you couldn't even compare him to others "Move out the fucking way you rotten pieces of shit."
Wow-
Aizawa let out a breathe before ultimately stepping in when he saw a couple reporters take an aggressive turn in their attempts at getting an answer about the number One hero from the students.
While the reporters were distracted by the tired pro- Morgiana took this chance to sneak in to the large building.
Eyes watched silently as it caught a glimpse of the red-head. Lips turning into a smile as their eyes followed the teens.
"So you were here?...." they quietly whispered.
"Hey-! Come on! We gotta hurry."
The person glanced at the shaggy haired man "hai hai~l
Morgiana sat diligently at her spot, a few people here and there.
One walked up to her spot and she glanced up at the black-hair female.
"Hello Fanalis-San." She spoke politely, her voice smooth.
"Call me Morgiana. How can I help you?"
"O-oh, Morgiana-San, if you don't mind me asking, what is your quirk?"
"....Quirk?"
More students started to fill into the classroom and others looked at their conversation in anticipation.
If she could single handedly defeat all of them, even if it is considered just 'tag' then in a way ilda should've been able to defeat her- but she was faster, and she could jump higher then Tsu, and she was more flexible then ojiro, and yet she was able to avoid Hagakure- who was Invisable...
If it were a real fight- would anyone of them stand a chance?
"Yes your quirk- is it some type of strengthening-based quirk?"
"I don-"
"Enhance." She was cut off by non other than their scruffy home room teacher.
"Her quirk is called enhance, it enhances her speed, strength, voice, sometimes even her mass- which causes her to break the ground with a simple flex of her toes."
Morgiana glanced at the man before deciding to play along "it also enhances my hearing, sense of touch, smell, and even taste at times."
She wasn't lying- her Fanalis genes far surpasses an average human- to the point where they were compared more towards animals than humans.
Aizawa's eyes slightly widened at this new information.
And the students around her seemed to look at her in a new light.
"Whoa! Your quirk is so cool!"
"I wonder who would win you or shoji in a one on one fight."
The sixed armed mutant scoffed as he replied "she fought against all might- sure she didn't win, but the fact that she even was able to fight for longer then a minute proves that she'd probably beat me."
"And guess what! She said she wasn't even at a her best!" The blonde boy said.
Morgiana hummed as they continued to talk, her thoughts accidentally slipping out "....he's nothing compared to Masrur though."
"..."
"..."
"....who?"
The class stared at Morgiana in disbelief- did she really think there was someone stronger than all might? Is this some hero who she simply adore more than all might and that's messing up her judgement on who's stronger?
"Masrur is my teacher."
"....your teacher?" The scruffy teacher asked.
As far as he knew she didn't have any form of education.
Morgiana nodded "yes. He's my combat teacher, he taught me most of the things I know when it comes to fighting-"
"Wow! Does that mean he's stronger? What's his quirk?"
"....we have the same quirk."
Aizawa paused- he knows that Morgiana doesn't have a quirk, and he's quite sure that she just played along with him on the whole 'enhance quirk'.
....so does that mean that there are others that are quirkless but posses such strong prowess?
"Morgiana- are you by chance related to this guy?"
Morgiana tilted her head in contemplation "probably."
"Probably?"
She nodded "he is a fanalis as well, but I'm not sure if we are family- or distanced cousins, most of the birth records for my cl- family, have long been destroyed."
Aizawa froze.
Is there possibly more people like her......
The man gulped thinking about it.
"What do you mean your family record have been destroyed?" Todoroki asked.
The class leaned in- anticipating what her answer would be.
"There was a...... group of men and women that came and destroyed my family's records- essentially erasing our identity and our very form of existence. we lost our land, our ability to get stable jobs and so on. Since we didn't even have something as simple as our birth records we were often ridiculed as savages and barbarians..." her eyes darken slightly.
The classrooms eyes widened.
She continued "because of that- most of us that became orphans don't know if we have brothers or sisters, mothers fathers, and so on. The only reason why we were able to find each other is because of our looks and our.... quirks."
"Oh....I'm so sorry Morgiana." The black-haired girl said
Is that why there was no records of her when she was on the news?
Her eyes twinkled slightly, catching them slightly off guard.
"I've was actually able to meet a lot of them- my family....about twenty actually." Her lips curled upwards slightly.
"they are all so strong, stronger then me even! and I hope to someday surpass them."
Her hands clenched, eyes slightly blazing "I especially want to surpass Masrur-san and Muu-san."
"That's sounds like a great goal Morgiana!" The bubbly pink-skinned girl said.
Morgiana unclench her fist, smile still on."But it seems I have to find them again."
The room fell into silence.
"Ahem." Bringing the attention back to himself Aizawa started "....today we are going to do something that could change your life."
The atmosphere changed, filled with dread and anticipation.
"Today we are......"
You can practically see the nervousness in everyone's face. Except for Morgiana, who just looked Lowkey lost.
"Choosing a class President and Vice President."
"ITS NORMAL SCHOOL STUFF."
And you have Morgiana that was still confused.

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.

Iron and Wood - A Tale Of Empire and Clans
For centuries, the Midlands had been split into fragments. A once glorious, united Empire has become a shadow of its former self. Unity has not returned, and not for the lack of trying. The greatest of these successor states were the Li Dynasty to the south, the rulers of old, and the Emerald Empire to the North, with its vibrant vitality. Unity is the end goal, and both will sacrifice anything to attain this elusive dream. For unity would surely solve the conflict that had long plagued this once prosperous continent. The Ironwood Clan was a prime player. Some would consider them the ones holding the reigns to the horse named 'Unification'. Iron and wood were the backbones of civilization; similarly, the Ironwoods were the backbones of the Northern Empire, and by extension, the people of the Midlands. Their methods, as questionable as they might be, had strengthened the North. Yet, were they enough? In the midst of it all, a young Ironwood who had lost his path must once again find his way. For the sake of his own wellbeing; for the sake of his clan; and for the sake of the Empire and its subjects. However, is he willing to sacrifice for the good of all? Is he willing to condemn some for the sake of others? Is he willing to make the right, albeit harsh, decisions? Only the heavens would know. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, events and incidents are the products of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Additionally, any views and beliefs expressed by the characters are not the author's own. The story is also not an endorsement of any actions taken within. The 'profanity' and 'sexual content' warning tags are there to be safe (and to leave room for potential future changes), but for now these two things are not inside this novel. This is my take on 'cultivation', though it might be somewhat disconnected from the general idea of the genre. Release schedule: Two chapters a week. The cover was created using wombo art. While I believe that creations using the app are in the public domain, if that is not the case, I will take it down.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
