《hostage | all of us are dead》chapter 9

🥀
i rested my head on the wall, i was so tired
suddenly my stomach grumbled, man...im hungry
ill have to get to the music room in a minute, we'll all be able to eat and drink, that'll be good
i could hear zombies groaning from outside, i sighed, I'll have to run more, gosh why couldn't i have been sent to a different kdrama? why one that requires so much energy?
i started climbing the pipes, I don't remember what floor the music room was in, but I can just avoid zombies to the best of my abilities if im on the wrong floor
i reach what i think is the right floor, there weren't audible footsteps or groaning so i opened the vent, i peeked around and saw a couple zombies, it wasn't many but still enough to cause serious damage
i stepped out quietly, phone in hand, at this point the phone shouldn't work, so there's no point in trying
i still kept it close, it's not w good weapon but i could smash it on a head if needed
i walked quietly until the phone slipped in my hand, i caught it but froze when i heard the slight cracking of bones behind me
i gulped and turned around to look, looking a zombie right in the eye
fucking hell, i quickly started running, as i heard it chase after me, gaining the attention of two other ones
i make it to the music room, and slammed the door shut, now i just had to wait...
i walked to the small storage room and scanned through the different foods and drinks, i grabbed a soda and a random snack, i sat down and ate, maybe it was just the fact i hadn't ate in what felt like forever, but this was so good
i went back into the classroom and sat on a chair, with the phone next to me, it almost felt like i was early to school, and there were totally weren't any zombies outside

i sighed, i opened the phone and snooped through it, i had nothing better to do anyway, i looked through their photos and couldn't recognize who it was, it's just some random people, so boring
i waited and waited, until finally the drone entered through the window
i waved at it and went back to my food, they were probably jumping and screaming out of relief, but i can't hear them so i don't care, it left shortly after and i blew it a kiss as it left, for fun
at least i know we only have about a day and a half until we can leave
i laid my head down on the table infront of me and closed my eyes, i was so bored, but they should be here soon
how did cheongsan do this? this is incredibly boring, i guess nayeon too, she was here longer
around 15 minutes later i could hear the speakers and the others talking
"is it working?" "it should be" "it stinks in here" i laughed at them
"y/n! you can hear us right? i don't know i asked that, you can't respond, um, we're gonna be there soon, so hang in there!" suhyeok's voice was obviously trembling, i wonder if he's okay "sorry we left you in there...it was kind of a ass move" cheongsan said
"its fine" i said outloud, even though they couldn't hear me
"you better be unharmed in there!" onjo said "I'll beat you up, seriously"
i definitely wouldn't want one of her kicks...they look like they seriously hurt
they said bye and they messed around with the sound and where it will be heard, i sat, waiting
i could hear the music playing in the halls, so they should be here in like, 2 minutes
i sat there until the doors slammed open and incame everyone, i stood up and they all sighed in relief upon seeing me, but suhyeok ran to me and engulfed me in a tight hug

i was taken off guard and almost fell backwards, i hugged him back
"someone missed me" i laughed "i was so worried when we left, i have no idea why i left, I'm so sorry, ill promise to protect you from now onward" suhyeok held me tighter
i swear if he held any tighter my bones would crush, he hesitately let go after a bit, feeling embarrassed as it went silent
my gaze instantly went to namra and i walked to her, i grabbed ahold of her hand and whispered to her "are you okay?" she nodded slowly "why?" she whispered back
i gestured to her arm and she looked down "im sorry" she said suddenly "hey, it's okay, it happens, you're perfectly fine" i tried to reassure her
"no, i was bit" she said a little loudly, causing everyone back suhyeok to look at us
"what?" a few of them said insync
"I'll... I'll leave" she said but i held tightly into her hand "no you're not" i said
"gwinam bit her, but it was weird, he was bleeding and he looked like a zombie, but he acted normal" suhyeok said
"i saw gwinam when i left, i watched him get bit, but he's not a full zombie, so she's fine" i defended her
"if he bit her then she'll turn in a half one?" i nodded at gyeongsu's question, truthfully hambies only appeared if the person bit has a strong will to live, but I can't outright say that, i can't imagine what gwinam's is now that i was the one who pushed him... maybe he wants to kill me instead
"then if she's half she'll still want to bite us! gwinam bit her, she'll do the same to us!" jimin said, giving her a dirty look
"but won't we just turn into half zombies too?" daesu said "it won't be dangerous?" jimin rolled her eyes "being half still isn't good! do you want to eat people?!" daesu shook his head "good point"
"she'll stick with me! she'll be perfectly fine, she won't eat you guys, we're all friends" i said
"i don't consider a zombie as a friend" i rolled my eyes at jimin's statement "then don't! we're fine without you"
jimin was upset but didn't say anything else
"are we...sure we can trust her?" nayeon quietly said
"if you don't trust her, then here" i took a piece of cloth from a table and tied our hands together "if she bites someone, it'll be me, we'll sit by the window and if she tries anything ill throw her out" it was obviously a lie, i would never!
"are you okay with that?" i asked her and she nodded
"there, you guys go on about your plan and we'll be over here" i walked to the window and sat down with her next to me
"by the way, if you guys are hungry theres food in the storage room, also put it in bags so when we leave we still have it" they nodded and a few went into the room to pass out food and drinks
everyone else was silent or doing their own thing
"you didn't have to do this" namra whispered "I could've left" i patted her back "it's fine, you're my friend, ill do anything for you"
"friend..." she sounded sad, i leaned my head on her shoulder and we went silent, aside from the munching from the others
i almost forgot what was happening as relaxed on namra's shoulder
"i really like you, namra" i said as my eyes closed and she froze "you're so pretty, and such a good person"
"i..." she was too stunned to speak
"really pretty..." i yawned, i could really fall asleep now
i could hear hyoryung talking to the camara at this point, i drowned it out and napped on namra's shoulder, i was tired for the events of today, so i deserved a nap
we only had a little longer until we went to the rooftop, and hopefully out of here

The Only Real Cultivator
Vincent was relaxing in physics class when he and his entire class were teleported into a vast other world, where everybody called themselves cultivators and fought with magical martial arts. Vincent gained power over plants, allowing him to turn seeds into all sorts of vegetation. He ventures out into this new world filled with phony cultivators to set the record straight. He can make one declaration with absolute certainty, “I am the only real cultivator!” - You will see an overpowered main character with a cheat ability. You will see "comedy". You will see a normal guy who gets teleported to another world. You will see classic wuxia elements like Qi cultivation and alchemy. You will see grammar from a native speaker. You won't see a ruthless MC who kills everybody that offends him. You won't see harem. It's essentially everything I like about light novels, web novels, and wuxia all shoved into one story. If you’d like an unholy mix of overpowered main character, wuxia, fantasy, and LitRPG - give The Only Real Cultivator a try. 6/1/2020 edit: Some bloke plagerized this book and put it on amazon, titling it "Ancient Cultivator." tbh I'm kinda flattered that I'm worth plagerizing. Still, don't buy the book. The whole thing's available here for free.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me.
