Laying on the floor

Staring at the ceiling like I can see the stars

Laughing

Saying things that don't make sense

Just shielding an insecurity

Or two

Or a hundred

Breaking glass

Taking apart razors

Bleeding into the bathtub

Smoke enveloping the tiled room

Dancing in the light like cloudy dragons

Blacking out

Riding it out

Covering up truths and scars

With laughter and smiles

That I think are real too

But when they look away

My face falters

Eyes grow tired and my breathing alters

Sleep it all away

Panics in sleep

Hazy memories and blurry faces

Rapid breathing - not breathing

A minute passed

Deep breath

And return to the haunting abyss
