"Mind telling me who marked your neck Mendoza?" Cerelia pointed at me.
"Huh what?" I took out my phone and turned on the camera. Shit. A dark purple hickie sat on the side of my neck.
"No one in particular." I hoped that would shut her up.
"Zia you really wouldn't think anyone would notice, first of all your hair is messed up, second your eyeliner is smudged, third your lipstick is gone and fourth you reek of sex." She took out her body spray and hosed me down. Fuck did I really smell that horrendous?
"Thank you, even though literally you just exposed me." I replied sarcastically.
"Aw you're welcome my very best friend in the world," Cerelia playfully pinched my cheek. I glared at her and rubbed my stinging cheek as we walked into our art class.
I sat down at the front to hopefully avoid any conflict with sir while Lia sat at the back. Strange. Eleena isn't here yet. She's never late. I looked out the window and saw that it was pouring rain. Are we really surprised at this point? It's England after all.
"Okay I'll be taking the register now so everyone stop your conversations." Mr Devenish instructed.
"Ok uh Azia."
"Here sir," I mumbled.
"Cerelia?"
"Here sir." Cerelia chirped.
"Eleena?." The whole class was silent.
"Has anyone seen Eleena?"
"HERE SIR I'M HERE!" There she was. Drenched head to toe from the rain.
She hurried into the warmth of the class and sat down next to me.
"Had fun in the rain Miss Delà Cruz?" Mr Devenish took off his glasses to look at her.
"I uhm, sorry sir, there was a lot of people and Acacia and I got stuck in between them all." Her cheeks flushed a pretty pink as she put her head down guiltily.

"I see, maybe bring an umbrella next time?" He concluded.
"Yes sir, sorry it won't happen again." Eleena replied.
I glanced at her briefly as she wrung her hair to get the water out and then wrapped it into a neat bun. Her clothes clung to her body perfectly, showing off curves I've never seen before. Beads of moisture dripped down the loose strands of hair and proceeded to run down her neck. Fuck. Why am I thinking about this? She's just another girl. Nothing special. She took off her jacket and her white shirt had become see through from the rain. The white lace of her bra stuck to the fabric, making me flustered. I was flustered. Why was I flustered? The boys in class started whistling and pointing at her but she didn't seem to notice. Fucking dickheads.
I took off my hoodie quickly and wrapped it around her shoulders. I whipped around and glared at them, disgusted by their embarrassing display. They all looked down in shame, some pretended to do work while others looking out the window to avoid my fiery gaze. Animals the lot of them.
"What are you doing?" Eleena said angrily.
"Shut up darling, I'm saving your back here." I snapped back.
"From what dumbass." She glared back.
"I don't want others admiring the view, I'm quite selfish you see." I looked at her chest and looked back into her eyes. She looked down and blushed even harder.
"PERVERT." Eleena hit my arm and shoved herself into my hoodie. I laughed and put on my airpods to continue on sketching.
"Thank you...I guess." She whispered under breath.
"No problem dumbass." I replied smiling at her. She returned a little smile and slipped on her headphones.

Mr Devenish set a task for us to annotate the different emotions conveyed in the painting that was projected onto the board. I snuck a look at Eleena, her face of concentration was quite...adorable? Man I don't know. Her eyes twinkled brightly, she was so engrossed onto the board I just couldn't disturb her now. Taking my pencil I began sketching her.
I drew the loose strands of hair over her headphones to add the finishing touch. Now would you look at that. Me sketching for a girl I don't even like. Absolutely ridiculous.

War of Seasons
Dorothea Atlin is the young, apathetic leader of the neutral territory of Sirpo, a chilly land hovering above the continuously warring factions of Sacer and Ghuria, whose devastating magics have ravaged their people and lands time and time again. Following a shocking attack and a cruel deception, Dorothea grows her conscience and takes up arms, using her self-destructive ability to manipulate the flow of time to ensure Sacer’s victory. Her growing understanding of war and the two factions is guided by Iree Nobelis, the determined and enthralling commander of Sacer’s forces, Ariana Kingfisher, a steely swordswoman of mixed Ghurian and Sacerian descent, and Rhys Tamlin, a kind but haunted soldier who goes to challenge Dorothea’s self-imposed celibacy and join her on a mutual journey of healing from the tragic legacies of the Atlin family and wars between the nations. Meanwhile, Dorothea’s only friend and deserter from the Sacerian military, Shark Olyen, returns to their homeland to face the family that disowned them and finds more than they bargained for in meeting Cerid Creed, a noble whose duty to his people clashes with his desires in romance and in life, much like Shark’s did long before. As their developing or preexisting loves and differing convictions on how to achieve peace create rifts between these major players, Dorothea experiences a personal revolution that leads her to fight for what she believes is right, no matter the cost. A slow-burn story that takes time setting up the psychology and motivations of characters for explosive payoff later down the line.
