"Explain." Valentine said his head pounding.
"Here," Jake said getting a pill out of his jacket. "For the headache, I'm assuming you have one?" Jake asked and Valentine only nodded drinking it with the water the waiter brought over when Jake ordered.
"So you just carry around painkiller?" Valentine asked one eyebrow raised.
"It part of the explanation." Jake said, eyes downcast.
"Go ahead." Valentine said gesturing weakly with his hands.
"A few centuries ago, mages werewolfs and vampires were in a war." Jake explained and suddenly a thought Valentine couldn't shake away was in his head.
"Y-your a werewolf... and the Cullens-"
"There vampires. That's what I was going to tell you, but the pack... they tried to stop me. I had to talk to the alpha, and he let me come." Jake explained and Valentine suppressed a inappropriate laugh.
"Ok, going back to the war. Werewolfs and vampires as far as I can tell aren't the very best of friends, right?" Valentine asked but he was pretty sure he was right.
"You catch on quick, yeah that's right." Jake said seeming proud.
"Ok, what about mages? You don't seem to hate me." Valentine said watching Jake closely.
"I don't hate you. Wouldn't hate you even if you where a blood sucker. Mages part in this story is pretty... unique. The war stared because vampires aquire a taste for werewolf blood and killed a strong pack leader. Long story short it lead to a firce war. No side was giving in. Werewolfs knew we needed more power and we knew who to turn to-"
"Mages," Valentine filled in.
"Correct, but your kind isn't know for giveing things in for free, especially power." Jake said eating one of his fries.
"What they'd do then?" Valentine inquired.
"That made us make a... bound."
"A bound?" Valentine questioned.
"Yeah. In order for them to lend us there power, we had to do the same." Jake explained and paused steering a Valentine expectingly and Val couldn't help the laughed.
"Let me guess. Mages didn't have things like super stragnth or good night vision?" Valentine asked and Jake chuckle.
"Excellent night vision, but yes that's correct yet again. It was a blood pack, mages would fight for us and we would transfer our powers, but not our curse to them. Soon mages stared to split and fight for both sides. But there was a group who was said to be a double agent, fighting for both and in return getting both powers." Jake said seeming to be looking not at Valentine but past him.
"Is it true?" Valentine asked.
"We don't know, but it's highly likely. Anyways the mages help both side for while, but thangs turned sour not long after." Valentine looked at Jake in question but reframed from talking.
"A few years after the mages joined, vampires thought it would be a good idea to drank the blood of mages too." Jake laughed.
"I'm guessing from that laugh that's not why they're extinct?" Valentine asked and another laughed bubbled out Jake mouth.
"No, but it did almost make vampire go extinct." Jake said with a smile that told Valentine he wouldn't mind that at all.

"Poison?" Valentine asked.
"Yes, but it a bit more... complex than that. Mages new vampires gain taste for werewolf blood so what's to stop them from them gaining taste from mages. Nothing, so they made it. If a vampire consumed a mages blood it would kill the slowly and painfully, the catch. It spreads. It killed thousands of vampires so in retaliation vampiers wiped out most mages."
"What how!?" Valentine breath caught in his throat.
"The made... children. Vampires can't conceived so they went to the mages on there side. They didn't know why they needed such a thing, but they gave it to them. They shouldn't have. There children grow fast, And there hunger was insatiable. They only feed them mages blood and when they where old enough and strong enough they set them free. Mages had strong morals about not harming the young, letting them live was a mistake. They weren't children, they where monsters. The mages made there choice to late. By the time they decided to fight back the mages where to little in number."
"The vampires celebration ended short. Turns out your kind are way too bad ass to even conceive. The mages left gathered together with the werewolfs and they striked a deal. Mages would make there blood poisoness to vampiers, though they where to little in number to make the same spell, but it did protect them from there children and the vampier this time." Valentine cut him off.
"Wait, why where the children able to feed from the mages? Shouldn't magees a mage's blood work on all vampires?" Valentine asked, his confusion valid.
"Yes, but the children was made with a mages power. The childen, like that vampiers had hoped, where immuned." Jake explained.
"Vampires are fucking horrible." Valentine sneered and Jake laughed.
"I know."
"So they use there own kid for revenge." Valentine laughed humorously.
"And then they killed them because they couldn't control there hunger." Jake added and Valentine dislike for vampires grow exponentially.
"Anyways now your kind blood is poisoness to vampiers. What was the other siad of the deal?" Valentine asked his curiosity insatiable.
"We had to hide them and make the vampire think they went extinct, but that wasn't what pissed of the blood sucker. What did still makes all werewolfs snicker." Jake laughed and Valentine couldn't help but ask "what!" His excitement to know strong and unmoving.
"Let's just say the reason why vampires are nocturnal are thanks mages." Jake said a smile on his plush lips and Valentine gasped.
"They made them burn?!" Valentine asked his suprise evident in his voice.
"Correct yet again Val. The only reason they could do it was two resons. One- there was only strong mages left, plus the few children they could save and two- vampires where already sensitive to sun, so they had a crack and there armor and mages use that." Jake explained and Valentine couldn't help but admire his ancestors.
"Why did the war stop again?" Valentine asked.
"Mages where know for grate ass revenge tactics but never for staying in the past. They didn't keep grudges, so with some advice from the mages to end the war and make somewhat peace with the leaches the war ended. Nobody knows where mages are and only werewolfs know there still alive, but I have a feeling there stronger then they where even back then. There where only strong mages left so there children was alway guaranteed to be strong aswell." Jake said and there was a quite as Jake at his food and Valentine sip his water both lost in thought.

"How's your headache?" Jake asked and Valentine smiled.
"Whatever in that thing it straight up magic. I didn't even notice it." Valentine smiled though he still wasn't hungry.
"Yeah, I did say that was in the explanation. Sometimes my wolf likes to try to wake up early and it gives me spliting headaches, so I started carrying this baby around." Jacob took about a white medicine container with a red sticker. It looked normal enough beside the words; not for humans read in tiny letters.
"Pack doctor made it." Jake said before put it back it his jacket pocket.
"Thank." Valentine smiled watching Jake's ever so closely.
"Your mine. You know that right?" Valentine asked a lazy smirk on his face that did thangs to Jake's northern regions.
"Of course. Your mine too." Jake smiled. Valentine smirk grow. He like how Jake said it like it wasn't even a question.
"I'll take you to bed when your older, have you ever had sex?" Valentine asked and Jake's face went beat red.
"N-no, my wolf never liked me flirting with anyone." Jake said as explanation.
"What about with me?" Valentine asked though he was sure of the answer.
"My wolf doesn't mind... I think he likes it." Jake said averting eye contact.
"I hope he does. He's gonna be such a good boy." Valentine said and he couldn't wait to see it.
Jake smiled as his wolfs sleeping form tilted his neck, showing his throat for his mate.
"Yeah, I think he will." Jake smiled eyes glazing.
The wolf was always at the back of his mind; sleeping until his 16th birthday, but growling when Jake did something unsatisfactory; like flirting with a random barista. The wolf bareing his neck to Valentine even though it couldn't be seen was such a telltale sign it sent a shiver down Jake's spine.
"You'll let me see him when it's time... right?" Valentine asked suddenly seeming unsure.
"I-it can be overwhelming.... are you sure," if the rumblings in the back of Jack mind was any sign, his wolf certainly didn't object.
"Fuck yes I'm sure pup. I can't expect just half of you, your all mine, wolf and all." Valentine assured truthfully.
He would happily embrace all of Jake. The good, the bad, and the wolf.
"I know I am, but you didn't exactly sign up for all if... this," What he meant was clear, and he was right, Valentine didn't sign up for any of this, but know way in hell was Val going to back out of what could be best thing in his life.
"I want to. I want you. There not a single thing I would change about you." Valentine smiled noticing Jake's leg bouncing up and down. Valentine gently place a reassuring hand on Jake trembling thigh, looking into his dark drown eyes.
Earth. They reminded Valentine of the earth, of warm rich soil; it made something dark and possessiveness snake into his heart and stake claim.
"There no running away; if we're doing this there's no running away; promise me, Jacob. If your at all sane you'd say no and run for the hill's. I'm not as good as I seem to be, you will see sides to me that aren't... good. I'm possessive, I can be selfish, I'm sometimes cold and mean, I fucking hate mornings, I don't get on well with my sister, I want at least two dogs name after foods, three more name after city's, states, or county's. Possibly all three and maybe a cat or two. I hate being held down though I would like to holding you down while you fuck me or I fuck you. I'm not picky," Jake suddenly splutter and coughed gathering some alarmed looks from people from other tables.
"I-um-" Jake stared for a while before laughing. "Wow, you have zero filter, but I like it. I won't run; not from you, never from you. Your mine just as much as I am yours. I'm in whatever... this is for the long run." Jake promised holding Valentine eyes. It told only the truth.
"Yeah, ok. And with my sister, I'm not saying you have to dislike her or anything; but like... I know I like to talk shit about the dumb things she does, but like... well." Valentine paused. What he was trying to say was sort of a lie, he wished it wasn't but it was. Valentine open and closed his mouth trying to decide if he should be selfish or to be a good... whatever they where.
"Ok, I lied. I don't want you to like my sister. I mean yeah be like friendly or whatever but like... don't become like besties. She's a fucking snake. When we where in the 6th grade I had a small group of friends, usually Bella wouldn't bother me or my friends, but I told mom she feed a her pet goldfish to a homeless cat and she wanted revenge... so like, when I got sick for two weeks she told everyone it was because I got herpes and it was contagious. When I came back to school nobody would talk or even get near me. Then I saw Bella laughing with my friend and I new it was because of her. We ended up moving the next year thank good." It came out all in a rush and when he was don't talking Jake leg wasn't shaking and he looked like he understood.
"That's fine. I never had any intentions of becoming besties with Bella. I knew from the moment you looked at her you guys didn't click. Your sister isn't my concern, you are. You always will be Val." It was the words Valentine didn't know he needed to here. Was Jake a mind reader aswell as a werewolf. It wouldn't suprised Val if he was, and surprisingly it didn't unsettle him as it should have.
"Good.... I'll probably do this alot you know. Be all possessive and shit." Valentine told him.
"I don't mind." Jake smiled.
Damn. Why was he so fucking perfect?
