《Twilight Jacob X Male Oc Book One》Chapter 5

'Fucking wirdo' Valentine thought looking as Edward covers his nose when his sister came in shaking trying to control himself.

He didn't like his sister; be she didn't smell that bad.

He was in biology. It was the only class they had together thank the heavens.

When the bell rang, Edward sprang out of that classroom like his ass was on fire.

Valentine didn't see why she liked the man. Jake was so much cuter, but that just means no competition for him. The long-haired boy was all for the taking.

After that, a lot of uneventful irrelevant things happened.

Biology was still weird. Edward still looked at Bella like he could eat her alive, and not in a sexy way. Not in the way Jake looked at him, but that's beside the point. The point is, Valentine suspects his sister is actually into that. It was wired to watch, but that tended to be Valentine's pastime.

Anyways that was all of the interest. That was untill Bella almost got crushed by a truck. It spontaneously stopped just before she was squashed like a bug and a huge indent was now imprinted on the huge thing.

That was kinda out of the ordinary if you asked Valentine, but nobody else seemed to notice.

It was safe to say Charlie was not happy at all, but the weird thing was Bella acted... strange. Don't get Valentine wrong, Bella always acted strange. There's something different about this though, but Valentine's didn't dig any deeper.

He wanted to see Jake again, but he hadn't seen the other boy since the night Jake told him he might be gay or bisexual. He wonders if Jake thought about him as much as he thought about the other boy.

He really should have asked for Jake's number before he left.

Bella had surprisingly asked if Valentine wanted to go to the beach with her and a few of her friends, and Valentine agree.

This was rare. But his gut told him it would be worth it, and since his gut rarely let him down, he'd set off.

The first couple of hours was kind of boring. They were all settled in Eric's van, just chilling out and talking about the recent gossip. Valentine didn't do gossip, so he keeps himself entertained by taking out his sketchbook and sketching the ocean while music plays into his air pods.

"What you listing to?" A familiar voice asked taking out one of his air pods.

Valentine looked up, glaring at the person who took what wasn't his.

"Jake?" Valentine gasped; surprise evident in his voice. His glare admittedly lost all of its heat as he looked at the kid who was stilling his heart.... again, though this time not in a very innocent way.

"Hey, was saw you guys setting overhear and wanted to say hi." Jake smiled.

"You mean you saw him over here and wanted to say hi." A guy with hair even longer than him laughs. There was another guy, probably his brother, whose hair is going to their mid-back.

"Shut it." Jake glared with no heat.

"Hey, Jacob." Bella smiled.

"Sup Bella." Jake greeted back but keep his eyes on Valentine.

"Wanna take a walk?" Jake asked, gesturing to the sand.

"Sure." Valentine smiled, jumping out of the van and leaving the group with Jake on his heels.

"

So, how's school?" Jake asked looking at Valentine's intensity.

"Eh- it's fine, I guess. Boring that's for sure." Valentine shrugged nonchalantly.

"Have you seen anything.... weird I guess?" Jake asked his eyes serious.

'He's hiding something.'

"Umm... well Bella seems to be infatuated with this guy who'd look like he'd eat her if he could, but that's none of my business so I don't know much about it," Valentine answered casually, but he was intentionally focused on ever everything Jake says and even what he doesn't say.

"Do you know the guy's name?" Jake asked cautiously, Valentine narrowed his eyes.

"Yeah, Edward Cullen." When he said that darkness seemed to settle on them.

"Say away from the Cullens!" Jake says grabbing Valentine by the shoulders and looking him deep in his eyes.

Valentine stared, glancing at his shoulders that were held in a firm but not tight grip, and raised his eyebrows.

"Jake, I would appreciate it if you let me go," Valentine said his voice ice cold expression indifferent. He looked like a different person.

He didn't like being held down in any way.

Jake let go as if touched by the fire looking bewildered and then like a guilty puppy.

"Sorry," Jake mumbled his eyes downcast.

"It's fine, I just don't like being held down like that." Valentine smiled his icy expression melting like disappearing like it was never there.

"I have zero interest in the Cullen, I'm not going to fond over them like their royalty. You don't have to worry about whatever your thing with the Cullen is, though I can't say the same for my sister though." Valentine explained, noticing the relief that passed in Jake's eyes.

"You should probably tell her to stay away," Jake said, but his voice didn't hold the possessiveness or over-protectedness it held for him. It warmed Valentine's to no end to know that he was special to Jacob.

"She wouldn't listen, so I won't bother. Anyways what's your deal with the Cullens?" Valentine questioned; eyebrows raised.

"Well... there is this old legend. Did you know supposedly the Quileutes are descendants of wolves?" Jake asked- Valentine thought he might be stalling, but seeing the look in Jake's eyes, this was an important detail.

"No, but I guess I'll call you pup from now on." Valentine joked shoving lightly into Jake's shoulder.

"Shut up" Jacob laughed, some of the tension melting away.

"But seriously, that's cool as fuck. I love wolves, I'm sure I've told you there are my favorite animals more times than I could count when I was little." Valentine said a warm smile on his face, Jake mirroring his own.

"Yeah, but anyways the Cullens, they're supposedly descended from this enemy Clan. My great-grandfather the chief, found them hunting on our land, but they claim to be something different, so we made a treaty with them. If they promise to stay off Quileute lands, we wouldn't expose them for what they were to the pale faces." Jacob said seeming to have a faraway look on his face.

"What are they?" Valentine questioned.

"It's just a legend, Val," Jake said.

"But you know don't you." There was that quiet again, but he knew Jake would answer him.

"T-they were said to be... vampires," Jake said, and Valentine's eyes went up.

He could see that. Valentine has always kept an open opinion on if supernatural beings exist. He believed you can't categorize something as non-existent if it was never seen before. Not to say he was a believer per se, but just that he would have to keep an eye out on the Cullens from now on.

"That's an interesting pup, but I thought the Cullen just moved here," Valentine said, his eyes gleaming with interest.

"Moved here, or returning," Jake said mysteriously.

If this was his sister hearing the story, should be creeped out, but Valentine wasn't his sister. He was more intrigued than anything else.

"Oh, before I forget; give me your number," Valentine demanded, getting his phone from his think Jean jacket.

Jake chuckle and put his number in saving it as Jake.

"There, text or call me anytime. I'll pick up." Jake promised.

"You better, pup." Jake groaned trying to stop himself from smiling but failing horribly.
