《Sally (Book 1)》Chapter 23: Twins

As the day was dull at the Junior High School, Angela watched the raindrops run down on the windows as Mr. Buggins was lecturing the children on photosynthesis.
Angela had Sally in her bag but she was asleep. Angela sighed and listened to the teacher. Angela felt sorry for the loss of McKenzie. "how did she even die?" She thought.
All of a sudden, a wad of paper thrown at her head; she turned around to see one of the twins, Marissa, glaring at her as if she was going to kill her. Angela opens the piece of paper, it read 'I know that you were responsible for the death of McKenzie, meet me after school, if you don't show up,! ~Marissa. Angela's lips quivered with fear. Why did she have something to do about it?
BRINNNNGGG
The bell rang meaning it was the end of the day. Angela was walking as fast trying to get to the car pick up side but Marissa grabbed her shoulder. "Where do you think you're going killer?" Angela stopped in her tracks, looked at her, and screamed, "HELP! HELP!"
Alyssa came to help her sister hold down Angela. Marissa grabbed Angela's backpack. She turned it upside down, making all her belongings fall out: Books, paper, calculator, pencils, highlighter, and even Sally. Angela tried to get out of Alyssa's grip. She saw Marissa pick up Sally and she screamed once more, "STOP, STOP, DON'T TOUCH HER!" Marissa laughed and said, "Or what, are you going to hurt me or better yet is this stupid doll going to do something to me?" Marissa smirked while pointing at Sally.
Angela knows when Sally is angry; she could see it in her eyes. Alyssa laughed, looked at Angela and punched her lights out.

Angela opened her eyes to see the world spinning and everything was blurry. She looked at the blue sky. She heard honking in the distance. She turned her head to see her mother honking her horn repeatedly. Angela stood up, she looked down to see her clothes all dirty and her bag opened with her stuff everywhere.

Brenda kept honking her horn and yelled, "HURRY UP ANGELA AND LOOK AT YOU, YOUR A MESS GET IN THE CAR BEFORE SOMEONE SEES YOU."
Angela rolled her eyes at her mother's comment, got her bags, put all of her belongings in the bag and walked to her mother's car.
Once she got in the car, Brenda gasped, "What in the world happened to your eye." Angela looked at her confused, flipped the mirror on her side and saw her eye that was blood shot red, swollen and slightly purple.
Angela tried to touch it but she winced every time. She tried one more time but her mother slapped her hand, "Don't touch it because it could get infected, I read it in a book called The Cure for Everything by Sally Mendez"
Sally
Sally
SALLY!
Angela looked through her bag anxiously trying to see if Sally in there. She grasped the twins must have got her. Brenda saw Angela looking for something, "What are you looking for?"
Angela frowned, "Sally, she is missing." Brenda looked at her confused, "Who?" Angela groaned, "Mom, my doll!"
Brenda thought about it for a minute, "Angela you know we can just stop by Walmart and get you a new one."
Angela groaned louder. "No mom, I want Sally, not a plastic Barbie that looks fake." Brenda frowned, "Well it was worth a try, but hey you know what? Wait until we get home Patrick is cooking something special." She said talking about the butler.
Angela was hungry, she sighed, laid back in the car seat, looked out the window wondering where Sally could be.

Meanwhile in the Crutchfield household, the twins were in their bedroom, wondering what they were going to do with the doll. "What do you think it does, "Alyssa asked, looking down at the doll that was lying on the floor, "Maybe it has magical powers or it might be a leprechaun that can grant us three wishes if we ask it nicely."

Alyssa looked at the doll, "I wish that Matthew Compton will ask me out to the spring dance."
Marissa rolled her eyes, "Stop talking to it dummy, your acting like mom like when she starts talking to the plants." Marissa said while twirling in a rolling desk chair, "Anyways I really don't care what it does."
Marissa stood up out of the chair and walking to their desk. "The only thing I care about is making that wimpy little Angela cry."
Alyssa smirked, "Yeah she is such a loser, I don't know why her family is the second richest people in town, and she deserves nothing."
Marissa laughed and pick up a pair of scissors while Alyssa grabbed the marker. Marissa then spoke, "In the meantime, let us mess this doll up." Alyssa smirked and nodded.
They turn around to see the doll gone. Marissa looked at Alyssa, "Where did you put that stupid thing." Alyssa looked at her with a worried, "I didn't even touch it."
The lights began to flicker and then out of nowhere it was pitch black. Alyssa and Marissa stood back. Marissa gained the confidence to let out a small, "Who's there."
The twins heard a soft giggle then a frilly voice said, "Who do you think I am? I can be anything such as a bunny or a bird, oh wait, I know ."
Alyssa spoke this time, "That's crazy, Dolls can't talk." The felt a breath on their necks and a whisper in their ear, "Well then... ."
Marissa then heard Alyssa start coughing.
The lights turn back on to reveal Alyssa on the ground with a knife in her neck gasping for air. She looked at Marissa and did a pleading, "help me." However, all that Marissa could do stand there. She frozen in fear, wide-eyed, and could not do anything but watching her own twin sister die.
Marissa saw a shadow appear in the distance. It was Sally, she walked over to Alyssa and looked at Marissa and smirked. Marissa looked at her with fear in her eyes. Alyssa put her hand on Sally's leg. Sally looked down at Alyssa. She grabbed the knife and yanked it out of Alyssa's neck causing blood to bombarding out. Marissa and Sally both watched as Alyssa drowned in her own blood.
Sally then looked up at Marissa and said, "One down, one to go." Marissa knew exactly what that meant. She ran towards her parents room. The lights were out in there and she hopped in the bed with her mother and father.
She then yelled but whispered, "Mom, Dad, we have to go now." Her parents did not hear a word. Marissa put a hand on her mother's face only to feel something wet. She got the flashlight from her father's nightstand.
She flashed the light on her parent's face. She gasped both of their faces were decapitated. Marissa screamed. She heard the door swing open to reveal Sally standing there.
She looked at Marissa and smiled, "Oh do you like it, I thought that they would be better without a head." Marissa screamed and threw her flashlight at Sally, but Sally just stepped to the left easily missing the flashlight.
She looked at Marissa, "You really need to practice your throwing skills." She threw the knife and it landed in Marissa's eye socket, "See that's a better aim."
Marissa looked at the knife and screamed trying to get the knife out. Sally walked over to her and smiled, "Here let me help you with that." She said as she pulled out the knife causing Marissa's eye to slide off the knife onto the floor.
Marissa screamed a piercing scream. Sally just rolled her eyes and stabbed her in the head causing the screaming to stop. Marissa fell down on the bed with her dead parents. Sally smirked, "The Crutchfields are now dead."

The Programmer's Dungeon [Progression, LitRPG]
Vincent, a college student from Earth, has been transported to another world full of strange powers and fantastic monsters. Ideally, this would be the start of his journey to become a legendary hero, build an everlasting empire, and gather a personal harem. But no one said that this new world would be easy… After escaping an assassination that accidentally befell him, he was forced to become a Dungeon Master. What will an average programmer student do when he finds out that he can code the dungeon? Vanquish those savages above with his tech and savviness — along with an army of golems? “Wait, this world isn’t even medieval?!” With all the questions piling up in his head, Vincent is set to uncover all these secrets! And… conquer the world, perhaps? The hard reboot of “The Programmer’s Dungeon.” It has an almost completely different plot, cast, and storyline, so expect tons of improvement from the old one. Disclaimer: This is a softcore LitRPG story; there are stats but no levels. Also, the LitRPG element isn’t the main focus of the story itself and is more of a support. I have enabled the reader’s suggestion, and therefore, you can correct any grammar mistakes and typos you find in the story. There will definitely be some that I miss. Cheers! The cover was made by Jack0fheart, so a shout-out for him. Releasing 3 chapters per week at 12.00 GMT on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday with at least 2000+ words.
