Tonight was the night of McKenzie's birthday party and almost the whole town was talking about it.

Brenda was running around her room checking the mirror and fixing her makeup. She had a ton of eyeshadow to her eyebrows and way too much blush on her cheeks. She was straightening her hair when Angela walked in.

Angela took one long look at her and said "Mom, why do you look like you got picked up off the street? Plus where did you get that weird dress?"

Brenda glared at her and said "Shut your buck teeth up! You're just jealous that you don't look like this! And none of your business!"

Angela said, "I'm glad I don't look like that."

Brenda rolled her eyes and said "Whatever. Ugh look at you. You look like a fish. And why aren't you dressed?? The party starts in 1 hour!"

Angela said "I wanted you to fix my hair." Brenda looked at her and said, "Go put on your dress and I might fix your hair."

Angela ran to her room and walked into her closet. She grabbed her dress off of a wooden hanger. She slipped it on and put on some flats.

She turned around and saw her doll Sally sitting on her bed. She didn't remember putting her there.

Angela walked towards Sally and picked her up. "Hey Sally, I'm about to go to a party! I mean I wish you could come but people would think I'm crazy."

Sally stared at her with a blank stare. Angela sighed. "It would even better if you talked. That would be cool. Then we could be best friends and talk about everything." She set Sally back down and got out of her room.

When she walked out, Brenda was coming out of her room. She shrieked. "Let me help you!" She pulled Angela into her room and sat her in a soft chair in front of her makeup counter in the bathroom.

Brenda swiped a ton of stuff on Angela's face. She fixed Angela's eyebrows and curled Angela's hair lightly. She sprayed her with some perfume and stepped back to look at Angela. She gasped.

"Angela.. I can't believe I'm saying this, but you look so cute. Take a look."

She spun the chair Angela was sitting in and Angela gasped. She couldn't believe it. She was actually pretty. She was even prettier than McKenzie.

Before she could say anything, Brenda grabbed Angela's arm and they went down the stairs together. Scott was in the living room and saw them both. He smiled when he saw Angela but then changed his face as soon as he saw Brenda.

He picked up Angela and said "Look at you! You look so beautiful." He kissed Angela's cheek and turned to Brenda.

"Honey where are you guys going?" Brenda stuttered and said "Umm... We are going out to dinner."

Scott looked at her up and down and said "You are going to dinner like THAT?? You look like Ursula from The Little Mermaid."

Brenda checked her watch. "Sorry Scott, the par- I mean dinner reservation.. Is about to start." Scott nodded. "I understand. Well bye guys. Love you!"

He kissed Angela's cheek again and didnt say anything to Brenda. They got in the car and drove off.

When they got to a huge gate in front of an enormous mansion, Brenda scoffed. "Oh please, our house is huger than this. On your next birthday, we can throw you a better party than this." She looked around and saw an intercom button and she clicked on it. A voice came on. "Who is it?"

Brenda rolled her eyes. "We are here for the party." The voice came on again and said "Put your invitation in front of the scanner just to make sure."

She searched around. "Where is the invitation??" Angela shrugged. "I didn't think we would need it." Brenda spoke into the intercom. "Umm we forgot it at home. Can we come in anyways??"

"Sorry." the voice replied. "We can not let you in. Have a good night." It clicked off.

Brenda shrieked. " Oh no WE ARE GETTING INTO THIS PARTY!!!" She reversed the car and rams into the gate. It wouldn't open.

She grabbed a crowbar from the back seat. And got out of the car. "Mom where did you get the crowbar from??" asked Angela. Brenda looked straight ahead. "ebay."

She walked over to the electrical lock on the gate and smashed it over and over until it broke off. The gate creaked open.

She got back into the car and drove in.
