《Javon Walton x Reader》Chapter 6- Morning

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of giggling. The fuck?
I slowly walked out of my room, and the noise got louder. It was coming from Jayla's room.
I opened her door to see Jayla, Y/n, and Jaden all on the bed laughing at something.
"Well hello sleepy head. Your bed head is just so adorable" Jaden said while winking. "Shut up. Why are y'all even awake?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. It's too early for this shit. "Couldn't sleep. We were gonna get you, but you looked dead asleep" Y/n said. Shit I prolly looked like shit and she saw.
"Wanna stay, or are you going back to bed?" Jayla asked. Right when I was about to answer, I noticed Y/n yawn. "I'm still pretty tired, so I'm gonna go lay back down." I said. "Yeah, now that we're not laughing, I am really tired. You guys and stay in here and do whatever, I'll go lay in the guest bed" Y/n said.
Dude just ask, it's literally not a big deal wtf. "You can come in my room too, if you want" I said. Why was that so hard to say. "Uh, yeah sure" she smiled.
I assumed I was sleeping on the floor, so I grabbed one of his extra blankets and set it on the floor.
"Oh, um that's not gonna be comfy, you can come up here if you want" Javon said. "Oh- okay" I said, grabbing the blanket and climbing into his bed.
There was a lot of awkward silence, and neither of us really spoke. Eventually, I fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning, in the comfiest bed ever. I felt movement, and turned to see Javon. Oh. Interesting... I couldn't decide if I should pretend to sleep, or try and quietly leave the room. I decided on just pretending to sleep.

"I know you're awake, I saw you look at me" he said. Well this isn't awkward. "Oh haha, sorry, I didn't wanna wake you up" I apologized. "Nah you're good. You wanna go see if everyone else is awake?" He asked. "Yeah sure."
He quietly opened the fire to Jayla's room, but her and Jaden were both passed out on the bed. "They must've been up all night" I laughed. "Yeah" he agreed, also laughing. God, this is extremely awkward.
"You hungry? Cus I know I am" he said, waking to the kitchen. "No I'm good, I ate last night" I casually said. He glanced at me, confused. "Uh- never mind that. I'm okay, thank you though" I quickly said, trying to correct myself. "Okay" he said, pouring a bowl of cereal for himself.
After he was done eating, we talked for a bit about school, and why I moved here, and just some random stuff.
"Wanna watch a movie or something? Just until Jayla and Jaden are awake" he asked. "Yeah sure" I said, hopping on the couch.
We decided on watching 'Grown-Ups'.
About halfway through the movie, I got a text from Aj, letting me know he was here. I quietly sighed, which caught Javon's attention.
"What's wrong?" He asked, pausing the movie. "Oh- nothing. My brother's just here already" I said, getting up. "Oh, okay. Do you want me to walk you out?" He asked. Aw, that's sweet of him. "Yeah sure!"
When we got outside, Aj waved to us from his car.
"Well, I'll see you at school tomorrow. Thanks for letting me stay the night by the way, it was fun" I thanked Javon, smiling. "Of course! Byee Y/n" he said, giving me a quick hug.
When I got in Aj's car, he was giving me a weird look.
"What was that about?" He asked. "What do you mean?" I was confused. "The hug with the boy" he said, now full on smirking. "Jesus Aj, it's nothing. He's my friend and he was saying bye to me. Just drive" I rolled my eyes as my brother continued to smile.

The Shape of Home
The world of Alvelotyl is one of fantasy, one filled with many races, an expansive magic system exploring themes of identity, some LitRPG elements, moral ambiguity and no small amount of magical inventions similar to those in our world. Dragons with blogs showing off their hoards of treasure live alongside [Hunters] chasing Giant Toads, or [Bandits] using rifles charged with Fire Magic. The Shape of Home is a story within this world, and follows the exploits of Yuri Scalesmith, a budding Lizardfolk adventurer from a small country town with a knack for inventing, and how her life drastically changes after she’s taken from home forever following a single catastrophic event. After being taken from her previously normal life, Yuri is thrust into a world of sprawling streets, magically mutated monsters, and a crime war for territory stretching across an entire city. The Shape of Home normally updates every Tuesday and Saturday at 6PM GMT, but I'm trying out different upload times to see how people react and attract others in differing timezones. There will be two week long breaks after each story arc's Interlude. This story is also a participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
