《Invisible | Tsukishima Kei x Reader》Chapter 2

"Ok class we are doing a group project on different countries so I'm going to pair you up okay? NO CHANGING ALOUD."
As the teacher reads off names, one catches your attention, "Tsukishima-san and Shimizu-san"
"You're kidding me right?" I groan.
"Excuse me Sensei, I can't work with someone who doesn't even have a brain." Tsukishima says 'politely'.
"YOU COME SAY THAT TO MY FACE YOU LITTLE—" You yell charging at Tsukishima but Yamaguchi holds you back.
"Gladly," Tsukishima gets up out of his seat smirking.
"YOU TWO" The teacher yells, infuriated.
"Ok the Inter-high prelims are starting soon, so we are doing training camp with the Nekoma Volleyball Club." Coach Ukai says addressing everyone, "Lets work hard and beat Nekoma at a practice match!"
"YEAAAH" everyone hollers with excitement.
—
"HAH YOU TWO GOT DETENTION FOR FIGHTING IN CLASS" Tanaka snickered.
"IT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN PHYSICAL IF YAMAGUCHI-KUN DIDN'T HOLD ME BACK" you say giving Tsukishima a death glare while he pretends not to notice.
"Hah. You cant even reach my shoulders without jumping. Theres no way you could beat me in a fight." Tsukishima teases.
"Why you—"
"Hey hey..." Daichi says pulling you and Tsukishima apart. "Get going to detention,"
"But practice—" Tsukishima starts before he gets interrupted by the captain, "I said go." Daichi's eyes lost all light as a dark aura formed around him.
A chill was sent down yours and Tsukishima's spine as Daichi threw both of you guys out of the gym.
"Shortie, this is your fault you realize that right?" The middle blocker groans.
"Excuse me?" You put your hands on your hips. "This is YOUR fault. We wouldn't be having detention if you weren't being a dick which is really hard for you isnt it?"
While you guys were making your way to the main building, you run into Kiyoko.
"Onee-chan!" You give her a hug.

"Oh! Hey (Name)-chan! and hi Tsukishima-kun" Kiyoko smiles while holding folders.
"Whats that for?" You ask.
"Oh this? This is for—"
"SHIMIZU-SAN!!" A voice calls. You turn in the direction of the sound. Is it that girl I talked to in Geometry? Is it for me?
A group of girls ran over and grabbed Kiyoko. Each of them yelling about their own problems.
"Uhm... I'm sorry ladies but I have to get to the volleyball club..." Kiyoko stammers.
"Uh— I can help?" You offer without thinking about detention.
None of the girls take notice to your comment as they continued to beg your sister for help. Anguish overcomes you as you stand there awkwardly as they continue to ignore you and go all over Kiyoko. They've seen you before, but never bothered to care. Tsukishima leans over to look at your expression which makes his golden eyes widen a bit.
"Oi, Shortie," Tsukishima says breaking you out of your trance of sorrow. "Lets get going." He grabs your arm and drags you out of the situation.
You pull your arm back in anger. "What the hell you beanstalk!"
"You're welcome" Tsukishima says coldly as he turns to walk to the main building. "Come On Shortie keep up"
You stare at your hands, recalling what just happened. Why can't anyone just remember who I am or acknowledge I even exist without Kiyoko being there?.... You close your fists and chase after Tsukishima.
—
"You're kidding me right? We have to clean the pool?!" You groan putting your (H/C) hair into a bun.
"Thats what you get for being a hot head," Tsukishima smirks.
"Heh. This is funny for you isn't it"
"Hilarious" he smile slyly.
"You're a beanstalk" You say.
"Shortie"
"Hmph. That doesn't bother me anymore" You say scrubbing at the tiles
"Potato." He whispers in your ear.
In pure and utter rage, you place your hands on the middle blocker and with a rough push, he gets drenched in water. Realizing you pushed the beanstalk into the pool, you burst out into laughter. The laughter continued on to the point you fell on the ground.

After wiping the tears from the amusement seeing Tsukishima drenched, you bend down to see his expression which was just pure annoyance.
"Here" you hold out your hand, offering to help him out. Tsukishima stares at your open palm. He soon decides to accept, and holds your hand. Tsukishima's expression turns neutral. Realizing his hand was in yours, a small pink blush flew across your face. "Y-you idiot are you going to climb out or not"
Tsukishima's blank face quickly changes into a mischievous smirk. A frightening chill goes down your spine, realizing your initial mistake; offering to help Tsukishima. Tsukishima quickly jolts at your hand, pulling you in. Now it was his turn to laugh.
When his laughs came to a stop, you were no where to be seen. Tsukishima looks from left to right. You aren't anywhere. The middle blocker takes a look down and his golden eyes widen when he sees you, (Name) Shimizu at the bottom of the pool, gasping for air. Tsukishima quickly dives to the bottom to pick up your helpless body. When he's in your arms, he brings you to the surface.
"God dammit (Name)-chan why would you do this?" Tsukishima clenches his fist.
You lay with your eyes closed as Tsukishima struggles to think of what to do. He doesnt want to do CPR, it could give him diseases... But he has no choice. Tsukishima's mouth leans in closer and closer to yours. He parts his lips slightly, hesitating. He then throws himself to the side when your eyes fly open.
"YOU CALLED ME BY MY NAME" You gasp.
Tsukishima's eyes narrowed in anger. "You were faking it the first whole time!?"
"Oh of course. I can swim I'm not an idiot," You sit up and hug your knees.
"I beg to differ—"
"Zip it." You cut Tsukishima off.
Moments of silence pass before you start giggling.
"What" Tsukishima spats.
"You were worrieeedd" You tease as Tsukishima's brows extend low. They soon relax into his neutral expression.
"I would have to deal with your dead body. Hiding it would have been a burden on me," He looks away sassily.
"Offended." You slightly punch his shoulder as you both laugh to yourselves.
"Wait beanstalk what time is it?" You say looking at the sky.
"It is... 4:30..." Tsukishima says looking at his phone.
"AH! COME ON BEANSTALK WE NEED TO CLEAN!" You pounce up.
"Stop nagging me," Tsukishima's lazy switch turns on.
"hmmm... I'll make you a pastry." You say smiling.
Tsukishima looks at you with small wonder in his eyes. You gasp in awe to his reaction. "What do you want?"
"..."
"Answer me beanstalk!"
"Strawberry shortcake..." he mumbles.
"What was that I didn't hear you?"
"I said a Strawberry Shortcake.." Tsukishima raises his voice.
"Deal," You smile helping him up.
"Whoever finishes their side last has to give the other person a gift," Tsukishima smirks.
"A GIFT?!" You yell as you begin to work faster.
—
"Yayyyy I get a gifftttt" You sing as you and the middle blocker walk home.
"Shut up. You only won because I had to get more soap."
"I wonnnn" you sing over him.
A smile forms on Tsukishima's face as you goof around. He could get used to it.

Dungeon Core? Nah, I Think I'll Just Get Super-Wealthy Instead
The cycle is simple enough. A Dungeon Core is born from a wayward soul. It seeks power and agency, and works to accumulate wealth to fuel its power, in turn using this power to accumulate further wealth. Inevitably, the mind is lost as desperation and ambition drive it to commit darker and darker acts. Shortly thereafter, the adventurers arrive to quell the core. This is a tale that has repeated itself countless times throughout history: all cores desire power. And yet, this core seems to have it backwards. It doesn't want to rule the world. It has no desire to enslave or conquer. No, this core doesn't want to be a warlord, a villain, or a tyrant. It wants to start a core-poration. After all, when money is power, what greater weapon is there than capitalism? Join a dungeon core that wastes an absurd amount of time and effort trying not to be evil on his journey to earn fat stacks against all odds. -This is a 'Dungeon Core' type fiction with LitRPG elements in it. The start may be fairly slow compared to the average. Expect roughly 2.5k per chapter. -I'm only a hobbyist writer. As such, there may be the occasional error and pacing may be poorly-handled. Constructive criticism is alway welcome. I'm just here to write stuff that makes my brain release the g o o d c h e m i c a l s. -I am trashy and I like monsterpeople so you can expect an awful lot of those as we get further in. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoy.
