《With You |COMPLETED》Chapter Two | how to make friends

When the bell rang for fifth hour to end I don't ever think the three of us have rushed out of a class that fast.

School was over and the three of us decided that Ashley would pick us up around five because she wanted to put the top down on her convertible.

I let the school clear out a bit before I headed to my car. My keys were buried into the bottom of my bag so I search while I walked because I assumed I was a good multitasker.

Until I ran into what felt like a wall, letting out a loud gasp I jumped back my eyes watching the chest in front of me.

Tattoos.

Black shirt.

Damien.

Oh god he's going to kill me. I'm going to die. I didn't even get to tell mom about my first day and first girls night. Oh my life is a terrible wreck.

"I-I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching." I whispered out, looking at my white beetle bug then to his face. He wore a small smirk on his light pink lips like I was amusing.

Was he waiting by my car?

Oh my god he has already planned to kill me.

"Maybe you should pay attention next time." He said smoothly, his voice was ragged and deep.

"Maybe you shouldn't wait by my car." I shot back shakily, my eyes were slightly squinted from the sun. Damien let out a small chuckle before nodding his head, crossing his intensely tattooed arms.

"Maybe." He chuckled, scooting away from my car. Then like nothing happened, he walked away.

Just like he was a ghost and for a minute I rubbed my eyes to make sure he was real.

"See you around, Thea." He called over his shoulder, throwing a cigarette into his mouth before he got into his all black Volvo.

No no no. I don't want to see him around. I don't want to see a black Volvo with a attractive but dangerous looking boy at every corner of my life.

I stood outside my car for a moment before quickly shoving myself in and driving off.

Why me? Why my life?

I would have to tell Ashley and Emily.

"He did what?" Ashley yelled, slamming on her breaks so she could turn and look at me with wide eyes. Not to mention we were in the middle of the street but she didn't care.

"Thea, you know what this means right?"

Emily smiled, bouncing up and down in the passengers seat. I rose a eyebrow, a bit concerned with what she was going to say.

My mother wasn't home when I got there so I would have to tell her about my day when she got back from work.

"We are besties with the only girl Damien has actually showed some sort of emotion to beside hate. Every girl has dreamed of it." Emily laughed, getting Ashley and I to laugh as well.

The attention didn't matter to me as much as I thought it would. As long as it wasn't negative I was happy.

Plus I now have friends which, was a major confidence boost.

"Where are we even going?" Emily called to Ashley over the wind. I don't think she enjoyed the convertible because her hair kept flying into her mouth, causing her to choke and mumble curses under her breathe.

I kept laughing hearing Ashley laugh at Emily's appearance. "Well my little raccoon, I was thinking we could go shopping, then go to my house."

Ashley smiled while I also smiled but shook my head. "Lets go to my house-"

"Oh my gosh yes! we could pick out her outfit tomorrow Ash!" Emily cut me off with a loud squeal making me laugh and nod my head.

Why did everyone do stuff for me? I wasn't complaining, saved me a lot of planning.

"I'm so glad you came to this school." Emily said while walking arm linked with me as Ashley guided us to stores.

"I mean, to me you're practically already family." Ashley called, making Emily nod happily. They were so friendly and kind. They welcomed me with opened arms and within a day I had made two friends who I got along with like I had known them since elementary.

They were outgoing and I was usually quiet. Yet with them I felt like a completely different person.

"I've never had friends before." I mumbled out, looking down in embarrassment. I felt Emily jerk to a stop along with Ashley because her heels stopped clicking.

"You're joking right?" Emily said softly, her eyes saddened and she made a frown that upset me even more.

Great I look like the biggest loser on the planet.

"I had no friends at my old school. I was bullied quite a bit." My voice was so quiet.

I felt like an outcast.

"Well you're our friend and even if we just met today I already know I'm going to like you because I mean you're awesome. Whoever bullied you were big A holes and they deserve to rot in the pits of hell." Emily said sternly making me tear up and hug her. I felt Ashley join into the hug.

"Yeah, day one of being besties means it's just going to get better from here. Think, we will probably randomly be in your house without you knowing." Ashley laughed, lightening the mood.

I let out a giggle and let go of them,

"oh great I get my own personal stalkers."

We all laughed and continued our shopping. I bought three shirts, two jeans, a black leather jacket, and three pairs of shorts.

Ashley had bags upon bags of shoes, shirts, jeans, and everything in between.

Let's just say she was into fashion, I mean she dressed the part as well. Her fitted skinny jeans went perfectly with her flowered blouse and tan heels she had on.

Emily bought around the same amount of clothes as me, her only getting pastel and dark colors.

We threw our bags into her trunk and jumped in the car. Almost driving off until Emily let out a gasp and pointed at a group of guys. "Oh gosh, it's Xavier. I didn't know he was friends with Damien's monsters." She whined, sinking into her seat.

Ashley let out a small huff and patted her leg. "Emily what did we talk about? Huh? We do not chase boys, they chase us." She stated proudly, before looking over at them. "Plus you're hot, he can't resist." Ashley wiggled her eyebrows causing Emily to laugh and me to smile.

I couldn't help but glance at the group of boys, seeing if Damien was within the group. I didn't get to finish my looking before The car started to speed away.

"You're right! Enough sulking lets go to T's house!" Emily called, catching me completely off guard with the nickname. I really thought it was just my mom that called me that. My dad always thought it was cute but he liked my middle name.

My brother on the other hand called me kid, so I guess there was nothing special there.

When we arrived at my house I looked around, letting a small uneasy smile form on my face.

"Mom?" I yelled as we walked threw the door of my house. Ashley was obsessed with the pastel yellow, going on and on about the "retroness" of it.

"Yeah? Is everything alright?" My mom called, I could hear her footsteps pounding on the wood as she ran to see if I was okay. "No one threw you in a trash can again right?" Her body almost ran past us, her socks causing her abrupt stop to be a semi slide.

Emily and Ashley giggled as my mom watched wide eyed at the fact I brought friends home.

My mom looked like a goddess, she was tan with dirty blonde hair that reached a little passed her shoulders in loose curls. Her grey eyes matched mine as she looked almost exotic.

"This is Emily and Ashley. We went shopping." I said gently, holding up my shopping bags as my mom smiled, Greeting the girls.

"It's so nice to meet you all. Oh my gosh I already like you two. Come over whenever!" My mom chuckled, crossing her arms over her bunny pajama dress in embarrassment.

My mom was fit, she was absolutely gorgeous she looked like me in the future but with freckles and lighter hair.

"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Evens. You have a beautiful house." Ashley said in awe, amazed at my moms designing skills.

Emily let out a giggle and smiled brightly "it's nice to meet you Mrs. Evens, I will take your offer to come over seriously." She made my mom laugh, nodding her head happily at the girl.

"Okay go have fun! I'm going to make Chef salad for dinner. You two are welcome to spend the night." She called walking into the kitchen. I could already tell she was hyperventilating in excitement. She was probably doing a dance in the kitchen.

Ashley and Emily smiled and followed me up to my room, "your mom is awesome. I hope you don't care but I'm going to be moving in." Emily laughed, her eyes squinting as she threw her head back in happiness.

Ashley jumped onto my bed, her bags flying in every other direction on the floor.

I happily crawled beside her pushing my face into the pillow.

"I think I'm gonna take your mom up on that offer of sleeping here." Emily called, she was sprawled out on my couch in the corner of my room and I held up a thumbs up.

"Me too." Ashley called, her eyes closing as she turned on her side. "I think we have like extra toothbrushes from the dentist and stuff you guy can have." I grumbled.

"Will your dad mind us staying?" Ashley mumbled, bringing me out of thought.

I didn't answer which only caused Emily to sit up slightly and Ashley opened her eyes.

"Uh-he died a bit ago." My face didn't leave my pillow because I was so shocked that I was telling them everything about myself. It was nice to not be so kept in and for some odd reason I knew I could trust them.

"I-I'm sorry I -" I cut Ashley off with a big smile and shook my head. "Honestly it's fine. Don't worry about it." I said, causing her to nod her head with a small smile. Ash scooted closer and cuddled me while we laid down.

By the time I fell asleep Emily was snoring in the corner of the room and Ashley was starfished out beside me while I laid on my side.

Maybe me moving was for the best. As I looked around my room at the piles of shopping bags and my friends hidden in them I knew it was.

I had made a new start.

"Okay I think this is perfect!" Ashley yelled as I laid flat on my stomach in my bed.

She had been picking out a outfit for almost a hour, giving me and Em enough time to do our hair and makeup (Emily took longer in the makeup department then me, considering I only wear mascara). Ashley even started digging through our shopping bags for certain pieces, so all of our stuff were mixed. Emily pointed out to me that I would have not much of my clothes and a ton of there's by the end of the week.

With that being said she took some of mine in the process but I didn't really care.

Ashley brought me out of my thoughts as she laid a outfit on the bed. It was actually something I might wear. "Since it's actually one of the colder days today." She said quietly, trying to make me say something.

I was stuck with awe, it was a light blue off one shoulder oversized sweater with white jeans that had holes only in the knees. A small smile rose to my face and I nodded, "I love it Ash." I said quietly, as she jumped up and down in excitement. Emily was digging in the back of my closest for a moment before throwing a pair of beige sandals out. I quickly threw the outfit on as my friends got dressed as well.

"Alright! Let's get going! My car now!" Ashley called, to the two of us. Emily throwing her body quickly out of the room as I followed, grabbing my backpack as fast as possible. Ashley was like a coach, a big scary, retro liking coach.

When we got to school Emily and Ashley had to check in with the leadership teacher about buying a senior t-shirt. While I happily went to my locker to put most of my school supplies up.

"So you're the new girl?" A boy called behind me, causing me to raise a eyebrow at his cocky tone.

He had bleach blonde hair and was a bit taller then me, his figure was built which made me want to jump into my locker out of shock. He was proudly wearing a letterman jacket that made me want to sweat immediately out of nerves.

I had a thing for nice figures, I mean who wouldn't.

The boy leaned against the locker next to mine as I grabbed my books, tossing them quickly into my bag. "How about you let me show you around?" He spoke smoothly, making me roll my eyes. It wasn't because he wasn't my type, I mean he wasn't but it didn't matter to me. It was the fact he had at least three of his friends chuckling across the hallway at him.

Yeah his body was cute but I wasn't ever in to jocks, let alone cocky ones. Back at my old school they were the ones who teased me, so I wasn't fond of any of them.

"I think I can handle it, but thanks." I showed him a quick smile and pretended not to notice him anymore.

Something about him was odd, I didn't like it.

"Oh what could be so bad, babe?" He chuckled. I bet he got all of the girls here, he was probably a player. His hand reached out for me and I slapped it away. "I said no." I seethed out, my body stepping back into something.

Oh but it only got worse from here my friends. Way worse.

My locker was slammed shut with a bang by someone behind me and the way the blonde guy was looking made me worry as well. My head slowly turned to see non other then Damien Carter.

Greaaaat...

His fist was clenched at his side while the other one remained on my locker.

My eyes widened and I stepped back slightly, watching his jaw clench.

He could've killed someone with the sharpness of his jaw. I'm not going to lie, I see what Emily was talking about.

"Tyler, I'll give you three seconds to disappear before I make it happen. Do I make myself clear?" Damien growled, leaning his chest closer to me in a protective manner.

My mouth was gawked open like a idiot while people stopped and watched the scene play out.

I didn't know who to watch to be honest, I felt like that girl In Twilight.

"One...two-" He didn't even have to finish before Tyler had disappeared, leaving Damien with a small smirk of approval on his face.

I stepped out of Damien's space and looked up at his face, before looking down again.

Everyone was watching, It was awful. Hiding in a trashcan doesn't sound to bad right now, I could easily just slide-

"Thank you." I breathed out quietly,

His eyes pouring into the top of my head. They were like lasers, I could feel them burning my hair.

"You shouldn't talk to him or any of his friends. They aren't good." He mumbled out, his breath wasn't as deep as it was when Tyler was here.

I was slightly amused looking up at him then adverting my gaze to the hallway.

Who does he think he is?

"And you aren't?" I said softly, my eyes going to my friends who reared the corner. Slamming each other into the wall at the shock of what they were seeing.

A chuckle erupted from his chest and a small grin formed on his lips for a split second before it was replaced with a straight face.

"I'm the best bad guy you'll ever meet, little flower." He said deeply but quietly, causing me to meet his eyes once again. They were beautiful bright green. I wanted to cringe at the name. I didn't say anything, but it was worse then Tyler's babe.

My mouth was slightly open and I raise my eyebrow in confusion.

I knew Ashley and Emily were tiptoeing closer so they could hear the conversation. They didn't want to interrupt a historic moment. Neither did anyone in the school, they just stole glances and pretended to walk by.

"He has fucked almost every girl in this school." He said quietly, causing me to cringe and scrunch my face up in disgust. "You're welcome." He smirked, his attitude was slightly different now, almost teasing.

"Oh my knight and shinning armor!" I sarcastically mumbled to him, making him and I crack smiles.

I have no clue what made me so comfortable around him, maybe it was my friends smiling and trying to take pictures of the historic scene. Maybe it was the fact he wasn't talking to me like I was lesser then him.

It was nice.

He gave me a small nod before disappearing into the crowed hallway. I felt my body get almost tackled by my friends as they let out small laughs while I watched the fading figure of the schools most wanted bad boy.
