Tate Langdon:
As your parents car drive up the driveway you felt your heart sink, you felt the place was full of darkness, even though you had never seen it before. Your parents tried to cheer you up, but you felt so gloomy, you had been ripped from your home and now you were in a place filled with fright. You flopped yourself down on your bed and sighed, closing your eyes. "Hello," a quiet voice sit from next you. You jumped up in fright, "who are you?" A blonde boy in a green striped sweater sat crossed legged on your bed, tilting his head. "Didn't mean to frighten you, I'm Tate, I live across from you," you looked confused but shrugged, "Oh , hey, I'm Y/N, we just moved in," He have you a soft smile and patted the spot next to him. You spent the next hour holed up with Tate, discovering you liked similar music, and listening to Nirvana in the darkness.
Kit Walker:
You struggled against the guards, fighting as they restrained you. "Please, please I'm innocent!" You wailed as they threw you in the cell, slapping the door closed and seeing the bars close in around you. "Please let me out," you cried softly, balling yourself up. "They never listen," you heard a soft voice say through the wall. "After a while, you stop trying," you crawled over and put your head up against the concrete. "How long have you been here?" You asked him, "not that long, it all has started to blur together," You sighed and felt for him. "I'm Y/N," you said and he introduced himself as Kit. Over the next few days, in the darkness and cold of the cell, Kit's cool voice was the only thing that kept you sane.

Kyle Spencer:
The party was far too loud for your tastes and you were sat on the sofa slightly awkwardly, clutching a beer. A blonde smiling boy came over to sit by you. "Hey, I'm Kyle," you smiled nervously at him, he was very cute. "You're very pretty, can I get you a drink?" He grinned and you nodded feeling your heart swell. Kyle kept you company the whole night, even when his friends jeered at him from hanging out with the quiet girl.
Jimmy Darling:
Your little blue Ford Anglia had broken down, and as you frantically worked to fix it you didn't hear a voice behind you. "Excuse me, Miss, but do you need any help?" You turned around in surprise, to see a gorgeous boy with soft hazel hair. "If you know anything about cars, that would be of help!" You gave a wry chuckle. It was only when he hesitantly leaned forward to fix the engine that you noticed the gloves on his hands, and the strange shape of them. "What's with the gloves? Chilly?" You teased the handsome man and he scowled, jerking them back. "Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you," you said as you saw his upset. "I'm Y/N," you said, "Jimmy Darling," he gave you a small grin which you returned, as you started to chat to him as he helped you restore your car.
James Patrick March:
The Hotel Cortez was beautiful, and although you had only planned a short stay you had already fallen in love with the place. You sat at the bar, and as Liz served you a martini you smiled at her. "How have you been Liz?" You asked and she shrugged, "eh here and there," she said and you struck up a conversation, she really was lovely. A suited figure approached the bar, you squinted, you hadn't seen anyone else here before, except Sally the gloomy drug addict, who often skulked around, drinking straight vodka. "Mr March, welcome," Liz said, seeming slightly unnerved to see him. "Well, who is this beautiful young lady?" He said, his 1920s style dialect coming through. You flushed, "Thank you, you're too kind." He was impeccably dressed and he had a pencilled mustache, with dark brown hazel eyes. He was incredibly attractive. "My name is James Patrick March, and you must be Y/N. Liz has mentioned you to me," You looked at her quickly and she winked. "Would you like to join me for a drink?" He said suavely and you nodded, giving him a charming smile.

Edward Phillipe Mott:
You hated that you had to move, you loved your tiny little farmhouse, in the beautiful area that you lived. The new house was sinister, it held a certain charm, but it felt too big and you hated it. Your parents didn't understand, they were so happy, and they didn't know what was to come. You lay in bed that night, as quiet as you could , hearing the horrifying noises and inhumane screeches around the house. You cried softly, not wanting to attract attention to yourself, but knowing you had come to the wrong place. Suddenly a hand was over your mouth, shushing your cries gently. "Who are you?" You stuttered out and you faced a heavily made up and wigged man, who even through the makeup was extraordinarily beautiful. "My name is Edward Phillip Mott, and something about you, I want to protect you." He grabbbed you, pulling you aside and away, pulling you through a tunnel into the darkness of night.
Kai Anderson:
You'd moved to a new house, and while the neighbourhood was beautiful, you hadn't really had much of a chance to get to know anybody. That's why when a polite knock came on your door you were surprised and rushed to answer it. "Hi, Miss, I'm Kai Anderson, and I'm running for our council member," A tall blue haired stubbled was at your door, with a big smile and intense eyes. "Hello, I'm Y/N! It's wonderful to know the politics around here," he beamed at you and flashed a flirtatious smile. "I live just across from you actually," he said, "maybe you can come visit me some time," you felt your cheeks redden and gave him a grin. "I'm glad to meet some neighbours at last, I wish you good luck with your campaign," He turned to leave and then stopped, "what was your name again?" You introduced himself and he waved goodbye, a mischievous smile on his face.

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

Medley of Fates Worse than Death
Rick wakes up in a world unknown to him. He doesn't know what exactly happened or why he is there, he just feels he's not from that world as if he had Dissociative amnesia. Soon after waking up, he gets attacked not once, not twice but three times in a single day. Our hero can know how strong enemies are thanks to a special ability of his, but the thing is... What good does it do to know just how weak you are compared to a deadly creature chasing you? This is a LitRPG Fantasy Adventure in which battles are won (or lost) with strategy and wits as our protagonists aren't necessarily the strongest... So if you enjoy more strategic battles I think you will love this story!About the chapters: I will post mostly 1,300 or so word chapters, I love weekly manga and feel like that pacing is similar to the one in a weekly serial chapter, hopefully, you enjoy these chunk-sized chapters :) I only do this for fun in my free time so I think I will probably post a chapter a week, but if my patreon ever gets busy I might put more time into my hobby xD If you feel like checking out some of the newest chapters, I have them over on my Patreon (Currently 5 chapters in advance): www.patreon.com/rija Extra info (Might get spoilery): As the story progresses I intend to add more strategy, politics and economics into the story, but it will still be mostly a LitRpg action-adventure. (Also if you had read my synopsis previously I changed it a bit because the elements I mentioned before in the synopsis won't come into play until much later into the story, and that's why I changed it.)
