《Kindred Spirits》Chapter 23

Everything is so loud that it feels everything is right there surrounding Zola.
Everything is so bright that the dark room is helping her not flip out.
Zola was so in her thoughts, that she didn't realize Klaus and Elijah were standing in front of her calling out to her.
"Zola love, can you hear us?"
Zola blinked rapidly, looking at her mates who was staring at her in concern.
"I'm ok, just everything is so loud and bright. It makes me want to go crazy"
Klaus and Elijah look at each other, knowing that today and the next few weeks will be alot for her.
Elijah hands her a cup which she smells before drinking it.
"This doesn't have blood in it, why?" Zola questioned, getting confused with the constant glances the two men in front of her keeps giving each other
"I swear if you two stare at each other one more time, the next thing that will be coming out of my mouth is your throat" She snaps, immediately after covers her mouth, not realizing the words that had came out of her "I'm sorry, I didn't mind to snap at you two"
Elijah shakes his head "Don't apologize elskan. It's the heightened emotions, you will be feeling like this for bit, but eventually you will get it in control. Same with everything being brightened"
She nods, resting her head on his shoulder the second he sits next to her.
"Emily is dead, isn't she?"
Both the Mikaelson men freezes on spot, which makes Zola tear up a little.
"I can't feel her in my head or her presence for that matter. What happened?"
Elijah and Klaus explained what Emily did for her, and let her sob on them. She needs it after dying and coming back to find out someone she thought to be a best friend, sacrificed herself for her, their queen.
While Elijah and Klaus helped the newly transitioned hybrid, Rebekah and Kol are doing some damage, ordered by their older brother.
According to Emily, Zola needs to drink from the doppelganger vein in order to finish her transition into the ultimate hybrid. Well technically all they needed was her blood but Klaus Mikaelson has never been short-minded about anything.

So he had sent Rebekah and Kol to kidnap the Gilbert woman. But they ended up kidnapping both Gilbert siblings seeing as one needed some persuading.
Entering the house they hear crashing happening upstairs and got curious, drop Elena and Jeremy into Zola's spell room which is accompanied by many dead ancestors.
When Rebekah and Kol went upstairs to Zola's room, they see the door was knocked off their hinges. They peered into the room, and saw Zola beating up Klaus, while Elijah is groaning on the floor.
"What in the bloody hell is happening in here?" Rebekah muttered but Elijah heard her.
"Zola, our lovely mate, decided that now was the right moment to use us as her personal punching bag since she doesn't feel like crying all afternoon" Elijah groaned, standing up and placing his arm back into place.
"Well is it working?"
"Yeah, I mean hitting someone always helped bring myself to peace" Zola giggled, kicking Klaus in the chest, letting him fall onto the floor.
She practically skipped toward Rebekah and Kol, grinning from one ear to the other.
"Do you guys want to help release some emotion?"
"That is a big fat no" Kol states but then smiles flirtatiously at Zola wanting to cause some chaos. "But I do know another way to release some tension"
Elijah and Klaus gets up and moves Zola away from Kol so fast that it nearly gives her whiplash. Both of them glaring at Kol, ready to kill him for even thinking of their mate like that.
"Okay before you two decide to kill him for his stupidity, we have guests" Rebekah states, pulling Kol away from the lovebirds.
"Who's here?" Zola mutters quietly, not understanding everyone's aura yet. She knew it was someone from the Scooby gang but with her emotion and magic everywhere, she didn't know exactly who.
"Remember when we said that you had to drink from the doppleganger" Klaus paused, letting Zola recall the memory that had happened just half an hour ago. " Well I had sent Bekah and Kol to get said person, and she is here with her motivation to do the right thing today"

Zola slowly nods, not sure if she really wants to face the Gilbert siblings, letting them know that she is actually alive and well.
Well, halfway alive and well.
Downstairs, Rebekah and Kol is standing around with the witches, making sure the spell had worked and this is really the final step for Zola to be a fully functioning hybrid.
"Rebekah, please let us go. I'm sorry about Zola, okay" Elena paused, trying to control her panic heartbeat "I don't know what to say besides sorry"
"Of course you don't, you never do. You are such a selfish bitch, always thinking everything was about you. You just couldn't handle the thought that there could actually be someone else who was way more important than you, and that's why Zola Saltzman died" Rebekah exclaim, making sure to creep closer and closer to the brunette.
Hearing footsteps come closer to the room, Rebekah realizes it's her older brothers and her best friend.
"Now the person who was born after that tragic, tragic death is way better" Rebekah whispered into Elena's ear "I even think she might be thinking of taking a new name. Mikaelson"
Elena freezes, looking at the opening door to see Elijah and Klaus walk through the door holding a very familiar person.
"Zola" She mutters, in shock.
Jeremy froze as well, knowing the all too familiar instinct that comes from staring at a vampire for too long. "You are a vampire now? How-"
"Actually mate, she is in transitioning at the moment. She just needs one more thing to become a full fledged hybrid" Kol explains, practically skipping towards Elena, getting ready to untie her from the chair and bring her to his sister-in-law.
"Hybrid?!" Elena and Jeremy yelled out in shocked.
"Leave them Kol, the less they know the easier it is for you guys to compel them in the end." Zola says, ready to leave the room and go back upstairs to continue the consent one-sided fighting. "By the way, did you guys take care of Caroline?"
"What did you do to her?" Elena sneers at them, worried for her best friend
Seeing Zola's aggravated expression, Elijah nods at Kol to bring the doppelganger towards them.
"Now love, drink as much as you want. It doesn't really matter if she lives at the end" Klaus states, staying to one side of Zola and Elijah doing the same to the other.
Elijah glares at him, putting his hand onto Zola's back trying to give her some comfort "Don't listen to him"
Zola grab Elena, forcing her neck to the left while Kol and Rebekah holds her down
"Just listen to her heart, when it starts to slow down. That's when you should stop"
Zola nods, letting her fang drop and finally biting into Elena's neck. She ignores the pain that comes out of Elena's mouth, and continues to drink. She drinks until, just like Elijah said, her heart started to slow down.
With some help from Elijah and Klaus, she was able to pull away, feeling the rush of power and strength running through her body.
Opening her eyes, she looks straight at her mate's eyes. Both looking at her with proud and adoration. Elijah runs his thumb under her eyes, liking the look of the veins slowly disappearing from her face.
Klaus wipes the blood off her face, not daring to put that spoiled blood into his mouth. He actually felt bad for his mate, for giving her distasteful blood her first time. Well they have an eternity to show the marvelous ways of delicious blood.
One of the spirit witch approach Zola, bowing her head down a little.
"The transition was successful. Zola is now a vampire and a witch"
Everyone smiles besides Elena and Jeremy, grateful that the spell worked.
Zola Saltzman is no longer there, instead stands a powerful women.
Now the question stands, will she be Zola Mikaelson or will she just say Zola?I think we all know the answer.

Soul of the Warrior
In a world where Classes, Stats, and Levels are the everyday norm, Reivyn has a secret. He was unusually aware of his surroundings from an incredibly early age, and Skills and Stats were acquired easily. He was just the son of an ordinary village family, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface. But below the surface, dreams of another life help shape his mentality and growth. Why does he have some remembrance of a past life, and what is his purpose in this new one? "Soul of the Warrior" is what I call a Semi-Isekai LitRPG. I say "semi," because Reivyn's past life is remembered like a dream, and very incomplete. It is still Isekai, though, as he remembers enough that it directly shapes his personality and his sense of self. The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas. They have both graciously granted me permission. Winner of the April Writathon Challenge. Release Schedule is Mon, Wed, Fri on Royal Road.
